1001 Albums Summary

She has a unique voice. Liked the horns in a couple of songs. Would not seek this album out and listen to it again.

Happy to see a Rod Stewart album pop up. He was one of my favorite artists growing up. I enjoyed listening to some of these songs from my younger days. Really liked his version of “It’s all over now” and “Country Comfort”

Enjoyed listening to the album. Have always liked 50-60’s music.

I actually liked this album after listening to it. My first impression was that I wouldn’t like the alternative music description but many of the songs had a David Bowie (who I like) sound and I think the band was influenced by him.

I’m a big fan of Neil Young but, this is not my favorite album or collection of songs from him.

Liked the 2 big hits Breakdown and American Girl but didn’t care much for the rest of the album.

Didn’t really like this album. Seemed that all the songs sounded the same.

Liked On a Rope. Didn’t like the others.

Didn’t realize who this band was until “Time of the season” which was a big hit for them. Thought they sounded a lot like the Beachboys.

Album was ok, kind of vanilla. Would not listen to it again.

Great album. Let’s stay together is one of my favorite songs. Al Green has such a great voice and does a great job on The Bee Gees song How do you mend a broken heart .

Ok, a little to hard rock for me.

This one brings me back to middle school and early high school where this album was played over and over. I haven’t heard it in a long time. Replayed Aqualung and Cross Eyed Mary twice. I’m sure Jethro Tull was the only rock band to feature a flute! I enjoyed this musical walk down memory lane.

I liked it even though this is not my favorite type of jazz music.

This one brings me back to the early seventies. Huge hits on this album. Karen Carpenter had the most beautiful voice in all of pop music back then. Nice to hear it for nostalgic reasons but wouldn’t seek it out to play on my own.

Not really a rap fan but thought a few of these songs were ok. Not surprisingly I liked the instrumentals most.

I liked this album. Reminded me of a mix of The Rolling Stones and the Talking Heads.

Everyone growing up in the 70s knows Black Sabbath. War Pigs and Ironman were Hugh hits and staples at most high school parties. Good to reminisce while listening to this album.

Not into techno music so this is a no for me.

Enjoyed this live album. Was too young to remember the Vietnam War and the protests but my older sisters were teenagers and I remember them listening to Bob Dylan.

Great album, great band, great front man. Many believe the Rolling Stones to be the greatest rock band of all time. Hard to argue with that, their success and longevity have to put them up there.

Definitely reminded me of the 80s. Poison Arrow was a big hit. Nice stroll down memory lane but not going to seek out this album.
