The Scream by Siouxsie And The Banshees

Huh British Punk Wack alr lets ride Overground!!!! Helter Skelter Suburban Relapse Switch is so remarkably balanced, what a well made song GG. Hong Kong Garden overall Fun! really good in some bits. Mostly not my style but this was good!

1-Star Albums (4)

All Ratings (114)

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Oct 21 2023

Well lets try this thing.... gonna just write down the songs that catch my attention the first time around. Mambo Sun Monolith (this one is weird but pretty) Get It On is iconic Hot Love Woodland Rock (ISTG I've heard a song identical to this but I'm sure its not this one) I feel like so many of these songs sound the same oh wait shit some of these songs are in here twice

The White Album by Beatles
Oct 22 2023

Day 2: This album is a fuckin classic so idk if I'm going to write any down. Ob-La-Di is the prob my favorite of the album Blackbird holds a special place in the heart <3 Mother Nature's Sun How could I objectively review one of the most well known album of all time. prob gonna give 4/5 cause there is some weird duds in there but still an album deserving its fame.

Beautiful Freak by Eels
Oct 24 2023

Mental is Okay IDK what the fuck I just listened to. unremarkable is the only word to describe

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
Oct 25 2023

I Zimbra is groovy as hell. Paper Air Need to relisten but really vibed with this album. Honestly would be a 4/5 off of gut feeling but there were some duds in the end so likely a 3/5

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Oct 26 2023

Safe from Harm I like but it is 2 minutes too long :(. Unfinished business is "good" but it sounds like a song that would play in the end credits of a cheesy 90s action movie that took itself too seriously. Blue Lines is a straight BOP Five Man Army

Vanishing Point by Primal Scream
Oct 27 2023

I straight up dislike this Star MAYBE otherwise this is a hard pass fam

The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths
Oct 28 2023

The Queen Is Dead Frankly My Shankly Cemetry Gates Bigmouth Strikes Again is weird, like, I like how it sounds, it rocks imo, but I don't like the vocals Boy with a Thorn In His Side Vicar in a Tutu There Is a Light that Never Goes out This album was a delight. Other reviews were talking about how this album was "sad boy music" and I must be dumb or something because I got a lot of joy from this. I'm considering a 5/5 to be a perfect album and let me tell you those 3 songs on this album I don't like are really weighing down this score

Stankonia by OutKast
Oct 29 2023

Spaghetti Junction I'll Call b4 I Cum Humble Mumble starts so strong and then I just dont care after the beat change Stankonia (Stanklove) Im Sorry Mrs. Jackson WOOOOO I AM FOR REALLLL I NEVER MEANT TO MAKE YO DAUGHTER CRY I APOLOGIZE A TRILLION TIMES Just like my other in my group, this album is already guarantied a 3/5 just for Mrs. Jackson alone and also for reminding me I don't have it in my main playlist.

Oct 31 2023

So I cheated a lil in that I didn't closely listen to every song/had this on a background music. Which I've done that to a few of the previous albums and I would always have to go back. But unlike previous albums there would be songs that would make me pause and go "what the fuck did I just hear". I wasnt keeping track of specific songs or titles but I was jamming out to every single one on this album. I'll likely go back through this album *multiple* times to be decisive on my favorites. but for now the entire album is in the library. Sorry the Smiths "The Queen is Dead", but this album was a joy the entire way through, while you had some duds.

Infected by The The
Nov 01 2023

Eh? stereotypes are a thing for a reason. and this is definitely 80s Granted I didn't try very hard with this album. sry im lazy

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
Nov 02 2023

Christ. Like ok its not bad, and straight up good musically, and I wanted to like this album. I genuinely see the appeal, I've heard many worse songs/albums, I just........... dont care? His voice is good, the musicality is good, the songs aren't too long, and yet I already forgot what I listened to, it is not sticking to me whatsoever

Tea for the Tillerman by Cat Stevens
Nov 03 2023

Dude this album is frickin ridiculous. I get it if its not your taste or something like that but you can't deny the musicality of this album. The only song I don't like is Sad Lisa but even then it is still seeping with talent. This is exactly what I wanted from this 1001 albums "you must listen to before you die" because I have never heard of this person or album and I was blown away at how varied and unique the music was.

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Nov 04 2023

Good Golly Miss Molly Proud Mary Eh its a vibe, but there are much bet Creedence albums Proud Mary is the only bop here.

Nov 05 2023

The Prince "EH" on Guilty of Love got an LOL out of me. Honestly up until that song I was bopping along pretty hard with this album. but this, Paris four hundred and the title track are hard duds. Oh my god what in the fuck the intro to Rikki made my ears feel super weird and idk if I like it or not? that was crazy. I'm probably not gonna add any of these songs but I'm glad I listened to it 1001 albums thanks. It reminded me of Kaytranada's 99.9% album so just for that it gets an average rating....

If You Can Believe Your Eyes & Ears by The Mamas & The Papas
Nov 07 2023

Monday Monday and California Dreamin are bangers 1000% but for the rest of this album, its the definition of the 60s music. Not a full on Beatles clone but if I wanted to listen to this type of music I would listen to the Monkees Greatest hits.

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Nov 08 2023

I'm not saying I ever will, BUT if some how some way I am convinced/drunk enough to do karaoke, One Way or Another is a top 3 choice for me. This Blondie album is a certified classic of the 70's and 80's cementing their place among the greats of the generation. Absolutely must listen to before you die FUCK YESSS is all I have to say.

White Blood Cells by The White Stripes
Nov 10 2023

Dead Leaves and Dirty Ground Fell in Love with a Girl Expecting The Union Forever We're Going to Be Friends Fuck yeah early 2000s garage punk music. love The White Stripes but never listened to a full album of theirs so this was cool.

Songs In The Key Of Life by Stevie Wonder
Nov 11 2023

Mother Fuckin Stevie Wonder bro. This is his 18th album?!!?! Christ. GGs boys time to go home, homie won the game. 5/5 Village Ghetto Land Sir Duke I Wish Knocks me Off my Feet PastTime Paradise (did you know Gangsta's Paradise wasn't original) Summer Soft Ordinary Pain Isn't She Lovely I kinda lost track after this point but I was vibing the entire time

Bone Machine by Tom Waits
Nov 12 2023

I'm sorry Tom Waits, I just simply don't care.

Aug 31 2024

Starlings - so gorgeous The Bones of You - kinda rocked, super good (prob not gonna add but still cool) Grounds for Divorce - BOP Weather to Fly - fire, instant add The Fix - !!!!!!!! HOLY SHIT One Day Like This These are all so gorgeous, this is the kind of stuff I started this challenge for, thank 1001 albums, super cool. GGs will relisten multiple times

Sulk by The Associates
Sep 01 2024

This album came out 4 years after Parallel Lines, and 14 years after the White Album, yet this is by far has the most cheese and campiness of them all (not just those 2 ofc). It is 100% just pure 80s cheese and I hate it. Only reason its not a 1 star is bc Skipping and 18 Carat Love Affair are actually kinda cool. I'm sorry B-52's perhaps I'm too harsh on you for your campiness because holy shit these guys burned the camp down.

Alien Lanes by Guided By Voices
Sep 04 2024

Kinda just vibed, wasnt bad. had some hard duds, others I was tempted to actually write down. Ok background music

Electric by The Cult
Sep 05 2024

Eh not bad but definitely the type of music my dad would have on his playlists and ask "you ever heard of this band?" Love removal machine Born to be wild (lost points bc its a cover of the original and the original is better, but its still a *good* cover)

Sep 06 2024

2 out of 5 just because this fool legit has a song called "The Paw Paw Negro Blowtorch" gtfo ok this album as actually kinda a bop but Im still not gonna add anything 3/5

Gorillaz by Gorillaz
Sep 10 2024

Fuck yea gorillaz, prob my favorite band tbh. but really only know of their hits. Never listened to this all the way through. Tomorrow Comes Today New Genius (Brother) Clint Eastwood is a Certified banger, there is no argument and if you don't like this song, I don't like you Man Research (Clapper) Sound Check (Gravity) !!!!! ok Rock the House is sick except fuck that recorder in the background lmfao 19-2000 Get the cool shoeshine motherfuckers!!!!! certified bop.... or rather a day doo de bop!!! Slow Country !!!!!!!!!!!! This album was already a 4/5 but holy shit I don't think there is a single dud here?! no wonder this was their breakout , theres so many bops

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Sep 12 2024

Well I wonder is gorgeous but otherwise I don't really care for this album unlike the previous Smiths album

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Sep 13 2024

Fuck ya Jazz! Herbie is a legend and I've been wanting to listen to more jazz anyway so automatic 4/5

Since I Left You by The Avalanches
Sep 14 2024

Jesus this a long one Ok this album is so meticulous and EVERY sound you hear has thought and purpose behind it. The transition from Radio to Two Hearts in 3/4 Time is insane. Summer Crane Thoroughly enjoyed this, fuck yea edit/ im cheating, this edit is 1.5 years later and this album alone was in my top 5 most listened to in 2024. I listened to this back to back to back constantly and I still come back to it all the time. 5/5

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Sep 17 2024

Just for legacy purposes this is an automatic 4/5. However this is probably one of the only 4/5s i will never come back to listen to (besides maybe the jazz ones?) Theres just something about this album, that idk, feels quiet to me? This is the chillest "rock" album I've ever heard. But the musicality is insane and should be recognized. Its great don't get me wrong, but I just would go to so many other albums or bands before thinking of going to this one. Songs of note: Another brick in the wall pt. 2 Goodbye Blue Sky Hey You Is There Anybody Out There? (strictly only bc it sounds like it would be fun to play on guitar) The Trial I'm also gonna use this album to note other albums that need their rating changed/updated. "Peter Gabriel 3" 3 -> 2 "Since I Left You" 4 -> 5

Miriam Makeba by Miriam Makeba
Sep 18 2024

Afropop Jazz?!?!?!? Fuck yes absolutely the type of unique stuff I want from this challenge!!!! The Retreat Song The Click Song (WHAT THE FRICK THIS IS AWESOME) Mbube (this is one of the songs that gets remade all the time apparently, TIL) Naughty little flea

Fulfillingness' First Finale by Stevie Wonder
Sep 21 2024

I said it before Stevie Wonder has won the game. I personally vibed with Sir Duke more but this is still a masterclass of how it is fuckin done!!

All Directions by The Temptations
Sep 22 2024

Fuck yea the Temptations rock Run Charlie Run (this song is actually hilarious and a bop) Poppa was a Rollin Stone fire

Olympia 64 by Jacques Brel
Sep 23 2024

Its alright, def not bad so it gets and average rating. Its french. I will say it made me go down a rabbit hole of famous Opera performances on youtube which is something even tho thats def not related in any way musically

Phaedra by Tangerine Dream
Sep 26 2024

This a scifi horror movie soundtrack tf? not bad tho just will never listen to it ever

Chirping Crickets by Buddy Holly & The Crickets
Sep 28 2024

I acciedently rated the wrong album when trying to rate this........ Roxy music I didn't listen to you.... Buddy holly yall are a vibe ily

Live At Leeds by The Who
Sep 29 2024

one of the better live performance recordings I really vibed with this as background music

Pretenders by Pretenders
Oct 01 2024

Personally I preferred Parallel Lines if I had to pick between those 2, but this was still really cool. Thank you 1001 albums very cool

Oct 03 2024

Its a classic. some weird songs and bits but maybe the real slim shady just needs to stand up

Group Sex by Circle Jerks
Oct 10 2024

its 80s trash punk music that would play in the background of those reality tv talkshows that had way to much camera editing and bad haircuts, and probably coke. best part about this album is its only 15 minutes long

The Bends by Radiohead
Oct 11 2024

*sigh* Radiohead..... you have some of my favorite songs ever but I haven't gone and gave you a proper listen, bc imma be real yall kinda scare me with how many music snobs slob on your knob..... It not because I don't like you, Creep is in my top 5 songs ever, its just the added pressure of "what if I don't like you?" But here you are and 1001 albums gods have determined its time to listen. Kowabunga Planet Telex The Bends High and Dry (fake plastic tree was alright I just dont want to relisten to it) Just My Iron Lung Street Spirit Hell yea Radiohead, good music... 4/5

C'est Chic by CHIC
Oct 12 2024

Le Freak is a god damn classic. This album makes me want to be at the party in "The Nice Guys" and just be drunk and dancing with the mermaids.

Cheap Thrills by Big Brother & The Holding Company
Oct 14 2024

Summertime is super cool Piece of my Heart is a classic, I didn't know it was this band that sang it TIL Turtle Blues (theres blues on this rock album?! hell yeah!) Ball and Chain is crazy Roadblock hellyeah this was rad

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Oct 15 2024

I already had a ton of respect for Iron Maiden because they are some of the first to make music like this. It's not everyday you have bands like this birth an entire new genre that becomes as popular as metal. They're legends and I haven't given them a proper listen. Running Free Phantom of the Opera (BANGER!!!!!!) Like another review said, I appreciate the musicality of this. Its not just "loud" music that metal sometimes devolves into.

Oct 16 2024

nah sorry Ill give a 2 for the benefit of the doubt bc I didn't try with this album

Headquarters by The Monkees
Oct 17 2024

Ok so I fucking love The Monkees. Their greatest hits album is a certified banger for road trips. That being said I haven't tried to listen to any of their main albums. These guys are the OG Big Time Rush but they're actually good LOL They are a specific vibe of upbeat, hopeful, and cheery music they just aims to put a smile on your face. They remind us that its okay to just be happy without having a reason; sometimes you can just *be* in a good mood. If you want a song that exemplifies this the best (even tho it isn't on this album) listen to Pleasant Valley Sunday. This album is just more of that... Being pleasant and bright :) You Told Me I'll Spend My Life with You. You Just May be the One !!!!!!!!! (this is a monkees song?!?! how did I not know) For Pete's Sake (Closing Theme) BOP Mr. Webster Sunny Girlfriend No Time! Randy Scouse Git!!!!!!!!! The Girl I knew Somewhere A Little Bit me, a Little Bit You I thoroughly enjoy the Monkees fuck yes

Ace of Spades by Motörhead
Oct 18 2024

nah, somehow sounds more dated than Iron maiden even tho they came out the same year

Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Oct 19 2024

Fuck yea Bob! Natural Mystic Exodus Jamming Waiting In Vain Three Little Birds!!!!!! One Love!!!!!!!!!! The combo of those two bangers is insane together

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Oct 20 2024

Its a vibe, super Tracy Chapman vibes but alot earlier than her. Super cool

D by White Denim
Oct 23 2024

Over all this is super unique and completely just a vibe from a band I've never heard of. I really appreciate this music Back at the Farm is fucking wild Sweet Joy Anvil Everything Is and Is and Is !!!!!!!

If You're Feeling Sinister by Belle & Sebastian
Oct 24 2024

This was cool, not bad by any means just personally not my jam. Glad it was shown to me because I respect the talent and musicality, just personally not gonna add any of these songs.

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
Oct 25 2024

FUCK YES LOOP ZOOP I always describe, if you want to listen to heavy-ish 70s rock just always go for Led Zeppelin, all these other fuckin bands just sound like them and trying to copy their style, but Led Zeppelin did it first and did it the best. (LOOKING AT YOU GRETA VAN FLEET FUCK U) Immigration Song Friends (this song is so cool and bluesy wtf Led?!) Celebration Day Since I've Been Loving You Out On the Tiles Bron-Y-Aur Stomp Hats off To (Roy) Harper Super cool and more blues than I thought it would be? Some small duds so thats why not the perfect score but still fantastic.

Oct 26 2024

Well well well, here you are again Beatles, a lesser well known album of yours but still in your Certified bangers list. This is gonna be hard for me to rate, its probably an automatic 4/5 because how could I objectively review one of the GOATs that is the Beatles and one of their best albums. With a Little Help From My Friends: super fun tune that I didn't know what Ringo singing gg Lucy In the Sky with Diamonds: YAY LSD admittedly the only song I knew about on the album before. She's Leaving Home Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite! super fun carnival music?!

Sail Away by Randy Newman
Oct 27 2024

I'm so confused about this album, First off have get around that I'm totally expecting a "You've got a Friend in Me" every other lyric, but then, the musicality is actually awesome but then I get super confused about what this dude is actually singing about? Its painfully american but then am I like is this just proud to be an american type of vibes or is this downright the level of ignorance and pride of america that became maga? I'm glad I got this album bc I totally would have never listened to it otherwise, and its good. But at the same time I think its probably negatively dated. 1972 man, I could totally see this have came out recently. Lonely at the Top is a bop Also side note I really love the photo of this album cover.

Little Earthquakes by Tori Amos
Oct 28 2024

Sorry but no immediate dislike but not bc is bad, just straight up dislike for me

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Oct 29 2024

Wait this is actually sick?! Carry On (the beat change is actually nuts) Teach Your Children Helpless (this one is weird in that there are parts I don't like but the harmonies are GROGEOUS) Woodstock Deja Vu !!!!!!!!!! The beginning of this song is just ridiculous and im really upset is slows down. Our House 4 + 20 (jesus this song is sad but gorgeous I almost don't want to add it because of how sad it make me feel ggs) Country Girl Everybody I Love You This album was ridiculous, genuinely enjoyed this front to back. This album embodies everything I enjoy about Creedence Clearwater and I was smiling ear to ear (except for that 1 sad song) GGs boys EXACTLY the type of thing I wanted from this challenge

Traffic by Traffic
Oct 30 2024

immediately kinda fun sounding but oh yea so far this is just 60s boomer rock. You Can All Join In It was alright background music? Nothing caught my ear like the other albums but it wasnt bad by any means. Just nothing that commanded I pay attention to it. Ironically this made me relisten to T.Rex and that album is just plain better so

Grievous Angel by Gram Parsons
Oct 31 2024

I just dont care bruv. Like another comment said, the story of the lead singers widow disliking the other lead singer so much that she removed her from the cover and reduced her writing credit on the album is more interesting

Play by Moby
Nov 02 2024

Porcelain Why Does my Heart Feel So Bad Natural Blues Machete Run On Inside (?!?!?!?!?!?) Ok theres like a 5 song span of not much "exciting" happening but it is just pure musicality and gorgeous. Ends at Flower But Flower in its own right is a BOP Spirit Running Ok this album is crazy what the flip?!?! Maybe I'm just a fanboy for these DJ types who just mix the shit out of a bunch of different music to make something their own, but this guy, The Avalanches, Daft Punk, Chinese Man; They all just know what music they want to make and the take bits and pieces from other music to make it. It blows my mind a bit because every... single... sound... is meticulous and put in its place for a specific reason and as a result we get something beautiful. Sometimes in the form a blues, or in the form bumpy bangers, or in my favorite form in full display in this album, the almost ominous but beautiful soundscapes that can be seen in songs like "Inside" The only reason this isnt a 5 star is because there are so many songs, and not all of them are amazing, but those songs that are fantastic (and there are a lot of them) are truly incredible

Nov 03 2024

At first I was super Cuckoo cocoon was cool In the Cage Counting Out Time is disgusting, sry this song just single handedly knocked a point off this score nah sorry I gave you a good shot, there were some decent stuff but other than those select songs this aint great

Ananda Shankar by Ananda Shankar
Nov 04 2024

Sitar covers of Rolling Stones songs?!?!?!?!?!?!?! No

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Nov 05 2024

YAY Creedence!!! The dude approves to hard. I love these guys and I had hoped to hear one of their better albums like others have said, many of the Creedence's greatest hits are all just on *this* album so I'm happy SO GOOD Ramble Tamble Before You Accuse Me Travelin Band?!?!?!?! Lookin out my back door certified BOP Run Through the Jungle UP AROUND THE BEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Baby Left Me Who'll Stop the Rain Heard it Through the Grape Vine?!?!!?!? Fuck yea Credence!!!

A Hard Day's Night by Beatles
Nov 06 2024

Ok I know im not the biggest Beatles fan, but I know their renown is well deserved, but I'll freely admit, I have never heard of this Beatles album or a single song on this album before. Some how this album was just completely off my Beatles radar, so that makes me question, is this album just mid? We'll find out I guess Yea no I was right this was mid sry Beatles, It wasn't bad by any means but its the fuckin Beatles, they are legends The most solid and probably definitive 3 I've ever put It wasn't bad, its wasn't fantastic, just right down the middle of enjoyment

Maggot Brain by Funkadelic
Nov 07 2024

So I haven't ever listened to this album but I know of its fame and how it probably is one of the best album covers, but we'll see how this funk and soul album goes. Maggot Brain Super Stupid Super groovy, funk ya!!

Hot Shots II by The Beta Band
Nov 08 2024

Ok so this band seems painfully early 2000s but they don't sound too bad so far? They seem to know how to make good music that also is technically impressive. Squares Al Sharp!!!!!!!! Dragon!! Alleged! Eclipse This album is kinda nuts?! I thoroughly loved a lot of these songs and am super glad 1001 gave me this to listen to. There were some duds but over all super cool and unique

Different Class by Pulp
Nov 09 2024

Ok so when I heard 90s british indie rock I sighed expecting the worst but this was super enjoyable! It makes me think of Arctic Monkeys if they were in the late 80s early 90s instead of the 2000s. I mostly listened to this as background music but there wasn't a single song that I disliked. Relistening more thoroughly to see if I want to add any to my personal lists but this was fun! Common People Disco 2000!!!!! F.E.E.L.I.N.G.C.A.L.L.E.D.L.O.V.E. Underwear Monday Morning

A Little Deeper by Ms. Dynamite
Nov 10 2024

I've never heard of this lady but so far so groovy for early 2000s hiphop Wait she's British?!?!?!?! nutty Dy-Na-Mi-Tee Put Him Out?!?!?!?!?! Brother Its Takes More This is pretty sick honestly, some weird duds but not bad at all

Survivor by Destiny's Child
Nov 11 2024

Ok so im already a Queen B fan so im a lil biased but ive only ever heard the hits from destiny's child so we'll see how it is Independent woman Pt. 1 Survivor Bootylicious Apple Pie A la mode

Seventeen Seconds by The Cure
Nov 12 2024

The Cure?! Weird but ok im down 1001 gods Play for Today It was aight nothing too special

Nov 13 2024

Ive heard of every single one of these songs but ive never heard of this dude GG legacy Streets of Laredo is NUTS

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Nov 14 2024

This reminds me of Big Thief but ik this dude came before them. hmmmm interesting Its good, I just don't care? sorry bro good songs but not my style.

Sunshine Hit Me by The Bees
Nov 18 2024

This album was delightful, nothing too exceptional but the vibes were great. Music is meant to be enjoyable and I really enjoyed this. This Town is the favorite. Like another review said, this album is like sitting by the pool with a margarita. just a super chill nice vibe

The Pleasure Principle by Gary Numan
Nov 22 2024

the birth of synth pop deserves at least a 3. otherwise I dont really care for it. super inspirational you can tell tho

Odelay by Beck
Nov 26 2024

alr its been awhile but I miss finding new music I like Beck? idk i've listened to him some but never more than like 2 songs lmfao Devils Haircut Hotwax The New Pollution?! Where its At Sissyneck!!! Ramshackle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This album rocked?! it was such an odd mix of rock, punk, hip hop, and then some melodic acoustic comes in from the top rope?! Crazy Work GG Some songs were weird and this wont be a constant front to back relisten but it absolutely deserves a spot in this list

Want Two by Rufus Wainwright
Apr 01 2026

Ok so we got another one for the books of "really frickin good but idk if I'm going to add any of these songs to a playlist" Like insane quality, great writing, musicality is THERE. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this album, would rec to give it a try. just I don't think i'll listen to any of these songs ever again. The only song I outright didnt like was Old Whore's diet The One You Love Little Sister (Sounds like some English castle royalty music but isn't cheesy?!) Hometown Waltz Crumb by Crumb (GG!!!)

Queen II by Queen
Apr 02 2026

Ok so Queen is my favorite band. thats just that. So I have just a teensy tiny bit of bias. BUTTTT admittedly I really only listen to their like 20 biggest hits? So seeing only Seven Seas of Rye the only song I recognize surprises me and makes me excited to try out new Queen music. Lets Go I honestly didn't care for the first few songs Some Day One Day is delightful?!?!?! Ogre Battle (this sounds like some King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard shit but this was prob some of their inspo xD) March of the Black Queen Seven Seas of Rhye Obvi GG I have fun Queen is legendary, and this help cement their legend status. They are the GOATS Out of the regards that this isn't their best album I'll keep this as a 4 but it was very good.

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes
Apr 03 2026

The only part of this band I have heard is Pentatonix did a cover of White Winter Hymnal and that is my favorite song of theirs so lets see how this goes? White Winter Hymnal (Yea GG this song is still a banger) Tiger Mountain Pleasant Song Quiet Houses (just specifically for the little riff and the ooohohoooo part that is INSANE) Your Protector! Oliver James This album probably has a TON of nuance and hidden meanings but imma be real I was writing a paper with this as background music and this was DELIGHTFUL 1000/10 do need to listen before you die. loved this prob gonna have it on rotation alot bc its just SO pretty and there wasn't a single song I disliked. GG upon relisten this is reminding me of Tea for the Tillerman and I ADORE that album so i think this is getting a 5. there isn't a single miss on this album

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder

ANOTHA ONE We already stated Stevie has won the game. One of the strongest musicians of all time. Sir Duke was his 18TH Album and it was the best. lets see how this number 16 does? Living for the City (YOOOOOWHATTHEFUCKKKTHISROCKSBUT HOLY SHIT 1973?!) Good shit Stevie, beautiful, awesome, wonderful. not as good as Sir Duke but still such a fantastic artist

If this was an English paper and its first few songs were its "Thesis Statement" this album would have failed remarkably. There is nothing about the first 5 songs of this album that get me to care about the rest of it. I will give this album the benefit of the doubt with 2 stars because I didn't even try with the second half; but "The End of the World as we Know it" is the only redeemable song here. Like I said 2 stars because it wasn't outright insulting on the ears but there is just no reason for me to care at all about this album

The Scream by Siouxsie And The Banshees

Bryter Layter by Nick Drake
Apr 12 2026

So this is really good dont get me wrong. Songs writing is great, its technically good etc etc. I dont care for some of the themes, as in like the songs dont impact me in anyway. Im not emotionally invested at all. Maybe just not my cup of tea? If this type of music is up your alley I could def see a 5/5 but for me; glad I listened to it but never gonna listen to it again. Gg

The Modern Lovers by The Modern Lovers
Apr 13 2026

So for the most part idgaf about legacy (some few exceptions) supposedly this band was super impactful, but I dont care. Im here to listen to music not a history lesson. While that might be a slap in the face for many bands and albums, it dont care if the music before or after this album just happened to be better than this. As I listen to this album now its...... alright? This singer sounds like he performs in basement bars, loses his shirt every show, and fucks hard. The music is good, but not mind blowing to me, like some of these reviews or even the fuckin band biography makes it out to be. Mid Get with the times old man

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
Apr 14 2026

my best friend in the world is a huge linkin park fan. and while these guys are great to headbang to. im sorry i just dont care. This is gonna sound wrong but its just too simple simple drum loop, basic chords, the vocals are the same in every song even if the words are different. "eh"

Apr 15 2026

eh it was alright background music. I could tell it was good because unlike my previous album in this list, every song sounded different from the last Slow start but strong middle, and meh ending not bad slag not bad Gold Soundz 5-4=Unity Range Life

more 80s brit pop.... sigh ok they aren't half bad, they remind me of b-52s but I actually enjoy this so far? My White Devil Heads Will Roll (this actually rips WTF) In Bluer Skies I honestly fucked with this pretty hard, mostly bc it is obviously well made but its unique! I haven't heard anything like this before. Like what do you mean 80s brit pop has ocean waves and a xylophone solo?! GG I would put this at a 3 in terms of personal taste but brownie points for being wholly unique. Exactly what I want from this challenge

Queen Of Denmark by John Grant
Apr 17 2026

hmmmmmm. this is 2010?! first song i immediately assumed was 80s again. Marz? (this mothafucka singing about a damn marz candy bar?!?!) It sounds cool but I actually hate these lyrics on this song I really fucking hate these lyrics. Like its actually insulting that this is very musically talented and the vocals are good but then the lyrics itself is DOGSHIT. I'm put it as a 1 because this offends me. And it is really upsetting because Chicken Bones and Silver Platter Club are fuckin BOPS to me ;-; ...... Jesus hates faggots, get the fuck out of here you silly fuckin butt crusty

Paranoid by Black Sabbath

Kollaps by Einstürzende Neubauten
Apr 26 2026

Aggressive lmfao Completely unlike anything ive ever heard ill give it that but like ouchy on the ears. Is it good? Idk? Is it something that you should at least experience in music" yea I guess so, just so you arent naive to know this type of music is out there. I hated listening to this but maybe thats the point? The goal of art after all is to make the cosumer have an emotional response; whether it br joy, sadness, displeasure etc. So 3/5 because simply put, fuck kid rock, he at very least needs to be below this album

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Apr 27 2026

Alr quiet beetle i see you, I genuinely forgot you wrote my sweet lord gg so far this is just delightful and I love it My Sweet Lord What is life I dig love, I totally thought he was saying I love Dick wtfff LOL Art of Dying is groovy as fuck Pretty good, not bad, too long, but otherwise unremarkable other than some hits

Apr 29 2026

10/10 just for atmosphere, like gg I 100% believe this was recorded at midnight in a dimly lit speak easy that smells of cigarette smoke. But it wasnt. The format takes a bit of getting used to and I see what the other reviewers are saying about the Mumble mumble mumble bass strum mumble mumble. But you learn that every song has an intro bit where he introduces the song and talks to the audience, and then the actual song comes next. This album is really only 10 or so songs long, not 18 While the stories may be nonsensical, and his voice is rough, the atmosphere is peak and the actual songs here are seeping with talent. I may not add any of these songs to my Playlist but it is very talented and 1 of a kind absolutely deserving a spot on this list. Eggs and Sausage Better off without a Wife Warm beer and cold women

The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter by The Incredible String Band
May 04 2026

Ok so I saw this album was got SHIT on and I was very worried going into this album....... and its good???? Jesus yall are aggressive Sure its not everyone's cup of tea; its psychedelic, experimental, and just straight up weird at times. But like, these people obviously know how to make music. This album reminds me of Lucy in the sky with diamonds Dont get me wrong there is plenty I didnt care for in the album but ho ly shit guys yall act like this album stole your first born. Like the other guy said in the reviews, this album isn't even in the bottom 100 The minotaurs song A very Cellular song (this song is god damn gorgeous in between the tangy strings and flute parts)

Astral Weeks by Van Morrison
May 13 2026

So theres this idea in music theory that every song should have a "shape". Basically a natural progression or flow that helps form the idea of the song. While I didnt know about this idea at the time, my entire life listening to music has been for the idea of listening to unique and different music. I cant stand the idea of listening to different songs but I cant tell them apart because they sound the exact same; and by extention I cant stand songs that if you close your eyes and pick a random timestamp you cant tell where in the song you are at. Not for this artist to catch strays but thats exactly why I dont like Tame impala, I have no clue where his songs are in beginning middle or end. And ll that to say that is what is bothering me about this album Van Morrison is incredible, extremely talented and this music is straight up good, but I have no fuckin clue what this album's shape is or where I am at in it at any given point.... it blurs together. The way young lovers do, its the best song on the album mostly bc its the most unique of the bunch

Songs For Swingin' Lovers! by Frank Sinatra
May 14 2026

Oh Sinatra we know just how hard you fucked king. Smoothest gangster in the game Only downfall of this album is all the songs sound the same but they are still delightful

Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
May 16 2026

CLASSIC im a rocker boy at heart so im excited for the legendary album Welcome to the Jungle (what i bop to kick off an album with) Paradise City Sweet Child O Mine This album is WEIRD. Its like it only exists for the popular songs. Like every other song is generic rock noise and then it leads into the popular songs. The prime example of this is Think about you into sweet child o mine. Think about you is rock song 9186 and then is leads it a song that is entirely unique and refined in its sound that is stands completely out, and then it leads back into generic. Imma give this a 4, bc legendary but there is plenty of forgettable, but it is alot better than many of the 3s ive rated

Is This It by The Strokes
Jul 09 2026

Oh fuck yes The Strokes. I already adore their music but i honestly havent listened to an album front to back. Lets ride The Modern Age!! How have i never heard this song? Ok love/hate Soma into Barely Legal, both songs are good but they sound the same and that transition between the 2 songs doesnt help at all. I think these 2 songs hurt everyone elses review of this album LOL Someday is just the best lets be real Alone together!!!! LAST NITE!!!!! The rest of the album unfort dies off but ggg was fun
