Bluesbreakers
John Mayall & The Bluesbreakersdon't like Eric Clapton so not gonna listen to it and give it 1 star out of spite
don't like Eric Clapton so not gonna listen to it and give it 1 star out of spite
Loved it, super boogie 8/10
Listened to this many of times, happy to give it another go Production is very nice but the songs aren’t exactly amazing
Nice vibe but most of the songs sounded very similar. Could feel the emotion
Kinda got a bit bored with this one tbh. Personal Jesus obviously a banger.
Totally rocking let’s go
Cool album with interesting stuff on it
also listened millions of times. would kinda hoping to get albums i ain't already heard millions of times
Listened a millions of times giving it a 5
Guess I gotta think about this album in context. I don’t think I’ll re listen to it any time soon.
Actually loved it. Pretty sure there’s a sample from sabotage by Beastie in this album
Thought it was kinda fun tbh. Don’t listen to much country, but cheesy I guess but I could feel some emotion. Nice cover of home of the blues. Just reminds me of walk the line soundtrack
Yeah i liked this one, it had some pretty cool riffs on it. That one song near the end was pretty fked up.
Prefer let it be
Awful but I hate Christmas songs so I’m skipping this one 😩
Actually loved this, listen to it whilst driving back from Olly’s place. The weather was wild, very very windy and rainy. Was a great vibe when driving over the Severn Bridge to Wales
Liked it yeah
Yeah it’s alright
Prolly ground breaking but the muted trombone in the last track was a sensory nightmare
Listened millions of times, prefer in utero.
Did kinda like it to be honest, nothing really in there that I’d listen to again in a hurry but I dug it
Actually bloody loving this
Alright, stay with me slaps but the rest is a bit meh. Never been much of a Rodhead
Loving this one, haven’t got tooooo deep into RadHed tbf. Feels pretty riffy which I like.
This should be good ... Can we seperate the art from the artist????!?!! K so i'm a few tracks in and i like the lyrics. The beats aren't too interestin compared to more old school kind of stuff. Guess he makes them himself rather than str8 up samplin. Not sure i will revisit this one, it's funny in bits. Just hard to take Kanye seriously now he's a nazi
Don't think i've ever listened to a Stooges album all the way through before. The production was pretty cool, could feel what they were going for. Never been the biggest Iggyhead either tbh.
Loved this one, was dancing around the flat like an antibody under the microscope gelling around for bacteria to munch. Have seen some footage of D-Punk back in the day mixing records and stuff and can hear in the album all the stuff they must have sampled and put together.
Bloody loved this. Thought the production was incredible and loved the stories in it. Such cool instrumental stuff alongside Isaac’s epic voice. Favs One woman By the time I get to phoenix Think I might give it a 5 Totally did Just well enjoyed this. Was playing mass effect while listening
Was quite nice listening but I can’t say anything really jumped out at me
Listening to this album in my bunk bed I do like some of these tunes, I’ve never really gotten into Rolling Stones so it is hard for me to rate it. Like yeah gimme shelter is a 5/5 song, and the last one. I need to listen to it more but based on the tunes I really like I’m going high
Really really liked this one, listened also in the dorm room. Groovy af and the production sounded really cool on my headphones. A lot of stuff panned hard to the left or the right making the stereo sound really pop. Giving a 5 cos I want to listen to it again
Was alright, think I enjoyed other hip hop/rnbs albums more. Killing me softly obviously is a banger
Deffo chocked full of bangers. Jimi is pretty wild on this one, lyrics are kinda alright but like the guitar stuff is mental. Robby picks - Fire - used to practice the drums to this track Manic Depression - always loved this tune for the riff, the drums have adhd in this one Tempted to give it a 4 cos it is quite long, the production gets a bit extra in places and the mix isn’t great. But it’s triply af and that’s probably how jimi wanted it Fk it it’s a 4 from me
First Radiohead album I loved and listened all the way through. Should have released this one first
Turned this off at the killed my wife song. Some of the guitar stuff was kinda interesting but the lyrics are an ick
Liked the riffage, First song reminded me of I don't live here anymore by War On Drugs. Just the little lick.
Weird music. My mum loves him so it gotta be a high score
Love arcade fire to be honest I know this isn’t that great compared to their first album But I feel so nostalgic when I listen to their albums and there are some solid chrome bangers on this one I know it prolly don’t deserve a 4 but it’s a 4 for me, love AF.
Always known I should dig into Sufjan, this album is always recommended as the jump off point. Have really enjoyed listening to it to be honest, really nice production and music Giving it a 5 cos I want to listen to it again and again
Weirdest thing I think I’ve ever heard in this genre. Loved the weird guy telling stories between songs. Felt like listening to Lydia telling a story or a Spag Cool guitar fx and riffage Giving 5 cos my mind is melted Recognised the neighbours song
First time I ever listened to this all the way through and I really liked it I get it’s like one long song but some parts I enjoyed more than others and it would be nice to have more track listing but it’s groovy I get it The second half of the first track really had me when they were introducing the instruments, that riff was tasty Production was really nice, really opened up the stereo image Banger for me was track 1
Relaly liked this one, sometimes I listen to some old rock and roll and every song sounds the same kinda thing. I IV V chord progression and that kinda thing. really liked how there was a lot of variety on this one even though Rock and Roll can be very samey. Also I think we got this album on the anniversary of Buddy Holly's death AKA the day the music died.
I did like this but not thaaat much. I understand the importance of it, pretty bananas that they let him do a show in the prison. some of the songs I really liked because they're classics but other songs were a bit of a drag. Giving it a 3 cos i ain't that bothered. Made me want to watch Walk the Line though
very nice liste, really enjoyed the chords and the instrumentation. This guy's going places
No mi gusta
I actually love this album personally so i'm givining it a 5 stars. Can listen to it again and again tbh even though it is a bit repetitive. Always thought he was doing a bit of a bob dylan voice but its grown on me and i love him now. Slave Ambient was also a great album
Enjoying this album, very different to the usual Nina Simone stuff I think i've heard. Production sounds very nice, very wide mix that packs a lot in. Nina's voice sounds well lush.
I liked it, had some cool stuff on it and a nice mix. Not sure if I’ll revisit it so giving it a mid score.
didn't listen to this one but then i changed my mind and went back to it. Was a lot of fun, i forgot snoop was kinda funny and actually a proper ganstga and stuff
yeah liked it
Don’t think I listened to all of it. Would rather listen to Vince Neil
was nice this one, slightly challenging. The acoustic bass is pretty special, just sounds like he's improvising all the way through. Prolly not gonna listen to it again anytime soon but giving it a 4 for the energy
Obviously a 5. Read the wiki and I didn’t realise this thing was pretty much all Brian Wilson. I listened to a stereo version which I thought sounded awesome, I struggle a bit with mono as I can find it hard to pick out instruments (even on my mega Sonys). Think the stereo mix really shows off the production and sounds he used. Deffo gonna b listening to this again. I listened to it on the train to Córdoba
Loved this album when it came out, can't be bothered to listen to it again because I had the cd in my car for so long. Deffo a 4 for me when it came out so i am going to put that
Not my fav led zeppelin album, think the first disc was weaker than the second.
Enjoying this album and his annoying the studio intro. Ballads aren’t too corny for me and has a nice amount of rock. One songs lyrics were a bit cringe cos he was dissing all his ex girls
Took me a few sittings to get through this beast. First one was while I was flying back from holiday and was going over Madrid, second one was whilst vacuuming and finally while making breakfast. Quite an overwhelming piece of work. I’m not sure I’ll be revisiting it but can deffo appreciate the work that must have gone into writing this goofy opera. FairPlay meatloaf for those pipes. I liked the 3 out of 4 song and the one where they’re gonna bang but she wants him to tel him he loves him first. Think I saw a video of them playing that on the old grey whistle test and it was fun at
Listen to half of it and i didn't really get going enough to finish it :/ DM me if i made a mistake and I need to revisit
Not the most exciting or interesting electronic music if i'm honest. Nothing really stood out to me, however it was a nice album to listen to on the plane while i was reading a book.
Loved this one, was listening to it on the bus form Birmingham airport to the city centre. I foolishly got on the bus instead of taking the train which cost me about half an hour extra of travel time. The production is really nice and her voice is lovely. Giving a 5 cos i'm deffo gonna listen to it again
Does have a nice production and all the instruments sound nice together. But it can be so god dam BORING. Trying to be an objective and clever reviewer bro but This is just too hard ot get through, got to The Scientist and just was like fk this
actually listened to this millions of times. Think it's darn good so jus gonna give it 6
don't like Eric Clapton so not gonna listen to it and give it 1 star out of spite
Liked it
Golden Years for life baby
Love this album, the deeper cuts are so nice too. Love the goofy lyrics at times and Flea’s bass guitarings. Production sounds cool and very 90s but not mentally loud 5 just cos I listen to this on the reg Wine dine 69 me 🙏
Didn't lsten
First song got cool bass but that's about it for me
Was slightly boring at times, Lorde always seems on the edge of being real cool but never quite lands. Was funny hearing the song from that meme, the one where she’s playing live and shushes the whole crowd from singing along
Moodiest thing i've ever heard and proper long songs. Sounded incredible though on my headphones, really nice production. Could've done with more up beat bops but i guess that's the whole point of The Cure back in those days.
Karen recommended me this album when i was working at BRI. Thought it was well good, giving it a five stars cos i really like the beats and the rap FLOW
