Blood On The Tracks
Bob DylanHave never been a big fan of Dylan's music. Was already famiiar with several of these songs. Knowing the background of this album now, though, I found all the songs more affecting than they were in the past.

As great an album as when I first heard it in 1979.
An amazingly rockin' album. The weakest points are the jams; 13mins on "sex machine" is particularly belabored. Otherwise, a fantastic album.
A unique sound for the time. Hits hard in many areas. Sounds way different from the Stones and Beatles at the time, maybe even much different than the Yardbirds. It even sounds like an influence on Jimi Hendrix' early work.
First time hearing this album. Didn't meet my expectations; despite the modern beats and approaches, this is truly a jazz vocalist's album. Interesting layered arrangements. Enjoyed it.
My first exposure to a full White Stripes album. A few good cuts, but overall I'm not really into it.
First time hearing a Kid Rock album. It definitely hits hard and has a lot of influences I recognize: Rage Against the Machine, Alice in Chains, and early RHCP. Lyrically amusing, but it’s all a bit manic for my tastes.
Too heavy, too manic
Somewhat accessible, but too much dance club noise
Surprisingly, for me, really du gtgis album. Some very soulful sounds and sampling.
An okay album.
Much too stylish for me. Meh
Some good grooves; however, in general, a bit too experimental for me.
Fantastic guitar tones. I didn’t realize until hearing this album how much of a two lead guitar band TL was.
Too much electronic drum and soft sounds.
Probably the most cohesive awesome album by Santana. Always worth a listen.
Old school rap. A lot of great funk on this.
Great album. I can see where this is the start of "folk rock".
Too much commercial disco/soul music for me. Can't get enough of "Good Times" though.
Definitely has a Pink Floyd feel. A few great songs, but the rest seem a bit noodley.
Fantastic thrash rock album. If I'd heard this when it came out, my musical tastes might've been greatly altered.
Classic album
Fantastic vocal stylings and band arrangements.
While I can get into his lyrics, I can’t take a whole album of spoken word singing. The late-80s synth and e-dryms don’t help either
Really nice stuff, but it all starts sounding the same. I can’t imagine someone buying this record and playing it on repeat.
Neat pop music. A bit too synth-ey in places for me.
Just can't get into Springsteen. Especially when thinking about this being written and recorded after 9/11, it just feels like I'm being hit over the head with most of the songs.
Awesome stuff. Great voice and harmonies. Great guitars.
Great album, but for some reason one that I'm not into
Great grooves here. For me, though, it suffers from the soundtrack issue of "interstitial" songs. "Do Your Thing" is a great groove that turns into an Allman Brothers jam.
Some great tunes
Awesome grooves.
Great album, but some of Sir Paul's pop aesthetic is not what I'm looking for.
A great Hifi album
Didn’t realize what a solid reggae band they were
Some good grooves. Reminds me of Charlatans UK. A bit repetitive.
A bit too much G-funk for me
Too much noise
Awesome grooves and a lot of soul.
Great great album!
Enjoyed the techno beats but at some point it all sounds like the same spacey ballads
Another awesome album, full of doo wop, soul, and Motown influences
As much as I enjoy Mingus, this one's difficult for me to access. Maybe if I listened several more times?
Great rootsy punk
Kick ass punk rock. Sorry I didn’t hear it back in the day
Amazing first album for a band
Interesting music. Can definitely hear influences on most rock of the early 90s, from Smashing Pumpkins to Drive By Truckers
Great easy listening album.
Great “live” album. Fun listen
Some good moments. Starts to sound a bit the same throughout
Some great grooves. Solid original “non gangster” hip hop
Nothing but top notch Soul
A few solid tunes, but mostly sounds like SD was feeling out what they’d like to to be as a band.
Lots of great highlights on this album, but it bogs down a bit in places.
Fantastic album
Great songs. Sometimes gets a bit outside
