Some cool stuff outside the hits but kind of forgettable

I like it a lot more than last time I listened. Repetitive but with a purpose and if you go in expecting that it helps

About the fourth time I've tried to listen to this. It's good music but really not for me. I don't know what it is but I can't get into it. I can appreciate it for the impact it had though

Although it's silly and goofy at times, the compositions, arrangements and vocal harmonies are all reminiscent of the best aspects of the beach boys. A lot of great stuff here

If I had been alive in the 60s I think I would have loved this. A lot of cool musical moments and nicos voice grew on me but I think it's best in smaller doses like on the velvet underground albums. I enjoyed it but probably won't listen again

I really just couldn't get through it. I like instrumental jams but I think the reason I don't enjoy the grateful dead is weak songwriting

One of the greatest rock albums ever. I haven't listened in a while and it is just as good as I remember. A perfect blend of rock and roll, blues, folk and a glimpse of harder rock styles that were starting to emerge.

I had never heard of this album or band either but wound up loving this one. Reminds me of television a little bit. Some tracks feel like they would fit in well in a Tony hawk soundtrack

Probably my favorite pixies album

Such a cool unique Bowie album. Love this one. Feel like it could be the soundtrack to a Bowie video game

Really cool stuff on here but not an album I can listen to all the time. There are other Tom waits albums I enjoy more. I do like it a lot and I think it's one everyone should hear at least once but since I can only listen to it sometimes I feel it's probably closer to a 3.5

I really like blur and much of the gorilaz other music but this album didn't do it for me. Besides Clint Eastwood there really aren't many memorable tracks. I respect the diversity and attempts but too many songs went on longer than they should've and too many misses for me

I listened to this when I was younger and I definitely appreciate it more now

Really really cool. I feel as though this pulled off what the Gorilaz album was trying to do in some ways. Not much here in the way of songs but very atmospheric and so many cool textures. I don't know how much I'd listen to it again it would have to be a certain mood, but I do really like this so probably very high 3 or lowest 4.

I enjoy it a lot remind me of a bunch of different artists. The slower songs sometimes feel like Nick drake

Really great live album. A lot of the songs are essentially blues tracks but the production and performances take this to a 4 for me

There is not much here in terms of traditional songs. Whether or not there's much music here is an entirely different debate. There are a lot of cool ambient sounds over random conversations. It takes about four or five tracks before we even hear an instrument. When there is actual music it is quite cool. Kind of a difficult listen for me. Something like this has its merits but I'm not sure if it's on this list

Not every song is perfect but the amount of perfect songs on this album is too high to give it anything less than a 5

Definitely some bangers on here but all the beats are very similar and the album is a bit too long I think. If it were shorter would be an easy four potential five. Hard to argue the impact of this and straight outta Compton. These records defines the sounds of the following decade. High three low four for me

Interesting to hear non experimental/electronic/ambient music from Brian eno. This was kind of like hunky dory David Bowie mixed with the talking heads

I have never listened to husker du but I can see this being an influence on a number of bands like R.E.M., goo goo dolls, gin blossoms and others. Cool songs but I would've liked better mixes. Probably like a 3.5

This album is really good. I have only really heard beautiful day prior to listening to this but I liked this one a lot.

This album is also too long. Love Hendrix and these songs and jams are overall better than are you experienced (as well as better mixes) but it's just too long to give it anything higher

This album rocks. Its so cool to hear Zappa's songwriting in the traditions and styles of the 50s and 60s especially compared to his later music. Loved this

Definitely cool but way too long. I only listened to the first album which is an hour and already went on too much but the second disc is another hour. Cool music but definitely should've been condensed

My problem with this album has always been that it's too long and I stand by that. Double album or not. Still though, some amazing musical moments and songs on here.

I don't really understand the cult status of this one. Musically, there's not much that's interesting here. And when something is interesting it's not really developed upon. Almost every beat is a 1-4 bar loop on repeat. Sometimes the beat drops but the arrangements almost never change. I can see how it was influential and important, but like most early 90s hip-hop I feel it doesn't hold up well today. A few song do, but as an album there were a lot of skips for me. Everything also sounds way too similar. Barely a 3

This album is right up my alley I really enjoyed it

Very cool album but songwriting is not as interesting for me as Megadeth or Metallica. Still some great stuff here though

A classic album. Really struck an amazing balance between catchy hooks and heavy songs. A couple of tracks that are weaker than others but all still very strong

I was trying to think of why this isn't a 5 star but I can't. I love this album and it has so many good songs. Coldplay did great things after this (as well as bad things) but this album is a no skip classic
