Loved the synthesizer instrumentation. Overall style (and vocal style in particular) wasn’t my cup of tea before but it grew on me a fair bit in this album.

A classic for a reason! Even the tracks that didn’t get radio play and I wasn’t too familiar with were blowing me away. Can’t believe I haven’t listened to it closer

The crowd added a lot of energy, but the recording definitely suffered from it. Tough mix at a lot of points. Still very enjoyable listen though

Great moody vibes. Another one where I knew twice as many songs as I expected from the song titles alone

Some really good stuff but I did have to pause for a while halfway through because it got a little grating. Was very excited to finish it off though once I was in the mood again

Liked it a lot more than I was expecting based on the other reviews! I’m into the early electronic stuff that pops up, and some of the voice clip/ambient stuff reminds me of GY!BE which I dig. Hard to rate an experimental thing like this with other more classically structured music though

This was my first listen but I’ve been aware of the album in pop culture for a long time, and I think higher expectations brought it down a bit (complete opposite of yesterday with D.O.A. where expectations were very low and I was pleasantly surprised). Still a solid enjoyable listen though

This one hit just right. Usually the slow jams on all these funk/disco albums of this era don’t hit quite right for me but even the ballads here were hitting the spot

Sometimes the inability to sing doesn’t hold you back

I’ve never been a huge fan of this British punk style with the singer doing that kinda lazy drawl, but turns out the drawl wasn’t the problem. Loved the other musicianship, I think this is my favourite I’ve heard of this genre

Nice listen, love how they get right in and out with 12 songs packed into 31 minutes. I am a cowboy now

Big highs and lows, I thought the Cisco kid and some of the faster ones were exceptional but some of the slow ones were a real slog

I think I’ve given them a fair shake but just can’t get into it, his voice in particular displeases me. Also maybe hard to separate the music from how much I’m aware of their personalities
