Not really my thing. Very unique though, so credits for that. Also, reminds me of Parkitect music, the game I was playing while listening. Highlights: Stillness Is The Move and Useful Chamber.

Faves: Gimme Danger, Raw Power, I Need Somebody.
3 stars, but 4 with the bonus disc with the live version of Maggot Brain and P.E. Squad/Doo Doo Chasers!! Fav tracks: One Nation Under A Groove, Maggot Brain (live), P.E. Squad/Doo Doo Chasers
Pretty chill funky album. Nothing too special (to me, anyway), but good vibes throughout. Faves: Summer Breeze (pts. 1 & 2), What It Comes Down To, Listen To The Music
What can I say. It's A Night At The Opera. Faves: Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon, '39, The Prophet's Song, Bohemian Rhapsody
Chill old school hiphop. Great beats. I can see how it's very influential, but it's not that much my thing. Faves: N.Y. State of Mind, One Love, Represent
Good album but I can't stop thinking about how Janis Joplin sounds like Marge Simpson. Faves: I Need a Man to Love, Piece of My Heart, Turtle Blues
Great for doing dishes to. A bit too fast/noisy/hard to understand for my taste right now though. Faves: I Against I, Re-ignition
Love the melodies. Love the synths. Love the German accent, even. Ahead of its time but still as good as ever. Faves: The Robots, Spacelab, The Model
Goes hard from the get go. Must have hit like a truck back in the day. A lot of filler on the album though if you ask me, but Child in Time being THAT good tips it into 4 star category. Faves: Speed King, Child in Time, Living Wreck, Black Night
Great album. Feels like older Bowie but is newer Bowie. Faves: Dirty Boys, The Stars (Are Out Tonight), Valentine's Day, I'd Rather Be High
Neat. Love how unique all the guitar, bass and drum lines are. The more you listen, the more you notice. Faves: Venus, Friction, Guiding Light
Beautiful chill jazz. Really well produced. Not really something I'd actively listen to, but great background music. Inner Crisis aside - that's a banger. Faves: Part Of A Whole, Inner Crisis, Ingoo Pow-Pow (Children's Song)
Good vibes and some clever lyrics. A bit front loaded though if you ask me, except for Mr. Tambourine Man. Faves: Subterranean Homesick Blues, She Belongs To Me, Mr. Tambourine Man
Nice old school hiphop. Faves: All I Need, Release Yo'Delf (special mention: I'll Be There For You/You're All I Need To Get By
Biased because this was one my fave albums in my uni days. But whatever, I have to give it 5 stars because it's Dookie. Faves: Burnout, Longview, Welcome To Paradise, Basket Case, She
Michael Stipe's haunting voice, orchestrated alt rock backing and understated but catchy meldies melt together perfectly on this one. Put it on and float away. Faves: The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite, Everybody Hurts, Find The River
Chilling in a smoky café right now in my head fr fr Faves: The Girl From Ipanema, Só Danço Samba
Very dated, very 80's, but if it sounds this good, I'm not complaining. Faves: Red Rain, Sledgehammer, Don't Give Up, That Voice Again, In Your Eyes
I can hear the influence on later Britpop acts like Blur. Loved some tracks, especially the combination of danceable beats and quirky guitar riffs, but there's quite some filler on this too. Faves: God's Cop, Step On
Makes me want to chug a tankard of ale and mosh on a ship. Faves: Sally MacLennane, A Rainy Night in Soho, The Body of an American
Thought this was boring, easy listening background music at first, but after a few listens I could only have it in the forefront of my mind. Faves: Don't Know Why, Cold Cold Heart, One Flight Down
I get that they're punk pioneers, but I just don't like most of these songs that much. Faves: Blitzkrieg Bop, Beat on the Brat
Very 80's, but pretty good. Faves: Jump, Panama, Hot for Teacher
Why did this remind me of Queens of the Stone Age? Although I guess it should be the other way around. Anyway, I like Queens of the Stone Age. Faves: Strange Brew, Sunshine Of Your Love, Dance The Night Away
Peak 90's dance music. Great beats, inventive sampling. Smack My Bitch Up, Breathe, Diesel Power, Funky Shit, Firestarter
This exceeded my expectations. Really cool, experimental psychedelic rock for the time. Great variety too - from acoustic folk songs to instrumental synth soundscapes. And a satisfactory amount of cowbell too. Faves: Nature's Way, Animal Zoo, Why Can't I Be Free, Mr. Skin, Space Child
I can appreciate the ambition, but I think it's not that interesting to listen to, and goes on for a bit too long. Faves: Overture, It's A Boy, Pinball Wizard, Go To The Mirror
About as good as a Christmas album can possibly get. Shame I'm once again reminded of the existence of Phil Spector. Faves: Sleigh Ride, Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)
Made me remember to sign up for Lindy Hop sometime, so that's worth a lot. Not my thing to just listen to on its own though. Faves: Flight of the Foo Birds, Whirly-Bird, Splanky
It's competently made and performed, it's just not really my thing. Faves: Born to Run, She's the One
Props on them for sounding pretty 90's in just 1990, but hiphop got a lot better later on imo. Faves: The Humpty Dance, Doowutchyalike
Hard to describe some of these tracks as 'songs' - they're more like soundscapes to me. Really good at that, though. Faves: Porcelain, Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad, Bodyrock, Natural Blues
Pretty nice, chill, old school country Faves: Honky Tonk Heroes, You Ask Me To, We Had It To
Not as great as their later work, but there's already a hint of it in here. Faves: Regular John, If Only, You Can't Quit Me Baby
Amazing soul/jazz influenced beats, great flow (in all senses of the word). Even the interludes are good. Faves: For Free? - Interlude, King Kunta, These Walls, Alright
Not usually my kind of thing, but Janis' voice is unique and full of expression, which makes it worth a listen. Honestly, prefer this over the 'Big Brother' stuff. Faves: Move Over, Me and Bobby McGee, Mercedes Benz
Better than I expected. And I actually prefer this over the Brian Johnson years. Still not my thing. Faves: Highway to Hell, Shot Down in Flames
Amazing guitar work and tone. Very psychedelic, too. Pure vibes. Faves: Spanish Castle Magic, Little Wing, You Got Me Floatin', Bold As Love
Not my fave R.E.M. album but there are some bangers on here. And amazingly nonsensical lyrics. Faves: Stand, World Leader Pretend, Orange Crush
Not the most diverse or well-flowing album imo, but there's far too many bangers on this one disc not to give a 5/5. Faves: All I Really Want, You Oughta Know, Hand in My Pocket, Forgiven, You Learn, Head over Feet, Ironic
Really glooped my shmorp. Faves: Give Up The Funk (Tear The Roof Off The Sucker), Night Of The Thumpasaurus Peoples
Crazy back-loaded, funky, soulful album. Not the greatest songs I've ever heard, but with a voice like that, do you even need them? Faves: Games, If You Think You're Lonely Now, Where Do We Go From Here
Didn't like this right away, especially as there's little in the way of hooks, but the more I paid attention to the lyrics the more I enjoyed it. Totally unserious, ridiculous, but kinda wholesome actually. Faves: 4 Better Or 4 Worse (Interlude), Oh Shit, I'm That Type Of Nigga, Officer
Nice old blues, live. Idk what to add. Faves: I'm Your Hoochie Coochie Man, Tiger In Your Tank, I've Got My Mojo Working
Competently made and definitely just ahead of their time, but not my thing. Faves: Let It Slide
Not every song strikes a chord for me, but there are some beautiful melodies and lyrics here and there. Faves: Sunflower, Country
Sounds older than it is, but in a good way. Faves: Mannish Boy, I Can't Be Satisfied,The Blues Had a Baby and They Named It Rock and Roll
Crazy how much noise two people can make. Love Meg's no-nonsense drums, Jack's impassionate vocals, obviously the riffs, and overall, how unique their sound is. Faves: Seven Nation Army, I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself, Ball and Biscuit, The Hardest Button to Button, The Air Near My Fingers
Interesting textures, nice variety and competently made - but no songwriting that really hooks me. Faves: Double Vegetation, Soldier Blue, Beautiful Love
I don't know what they're saying at all, but it sounds very pretty. Faves: Tudo O Que Você Podia Ser, Dos Cruces, Um Girassol Da Cor Do Seu Cabelo Paisagem Da Janela
Fast, energetic tunes about the grim underbelly of grey drab concrete British living. I like it, but then it's a bit nostalgic for me too. Faves: The View From The Afternoon, I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor, Dancing Shoes, When The Sun Goes Down
Almost every song on this is a banger honestly. Great production too, and lush theatrical instrumentation. Faves: School, Bloody Well Right, Hide In Your Shell, Dreamer
Relaxing and a little rough around the edges. Faves: Cinnamon Girl, Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, The Losing End
Pretty nice, but nothing special aside from the title track. Faves: I'm A Lonesome Fugitive, House of Memories, Skid Row
Experimental, but really cool. Love the variety of song structures and instruments, and the drumming in particular too.
Americana isn't really my thing as I'm writing this, but I'll have to say this isn't half bad. I doubt it gets any better than this, if anything. Faves: Lookin' Out My Back Door, Who'll Stop The Rain, I Heard It Through The Grapevine
Very 80's indie. All a bit the same. But pretty good to listen to nonetheless. Faves: A Trick of the Light, Hometown Farewell Kiss, Holy Water
Pretty nice Neil Young album, if with a bit of filler. The guitar tone on the 'alternative' version of My My, Hey Hey was a pretty cool surprise. Faves: My My, Hey Hey (Out of the Blue), Sail Away, My My, Hey Hey (Into the Black)
I know it's a well-respected and highly influential album in terms of its themes and overall production... but it's not really my cup of tea. Faves: Crowd of Love, Wake Up
There's beautiful songwriting, musicianship and lyricism on this. But stylistically, it's not my thing at all. ANOHNI's super-vibrato-y vocals sound like a product of its time. I almost wish there was a different recording and style to these songs that to their core are very strong - but that's not the place they came from of course. Faves: Hope There's Someone, For Today I Am A Boy
No real standouts, but all pretty good songs. Faves: A Rush and a Push and the Land Is Ours, Girlfriend in a Coma, Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me
Surprising (to me anyway, very unfamiliar with Jack's solo work until now) amount of variety and beautiful instrumentation, melodies and song writing on this one. Love it. Faves: Sixteen Saltines, Love Interruption, Blunderbuss, Hypocritical Kiss, Weep Themselves To Sleep
Really feel like I'm in a mix of a jazz club and an Edward Hopper painting right now. Surprisingly humorous too. Faves: Eggs And Sausage (In A Cadillac With Susan Michelson)
Good vibes. Great drumming, too. Not really something I'd relisten though. Faves: Let's Start, Egbe Mi O (Carry Me)
Wow, this is full of bangers that I'd never heard before somehow. Love the varied instrumentation, especially the organ. But the vocals are great, too. Faves: Twentieth Century Fox, Alabama Song (Whisky Bar), Light My Fire, Take It as It Comes, The End
Very soulful. Good vibes. Faves: Chain of Fools, Money Won't Change You, (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman
Wasn't expecting to find this album this... mediocre. Aside from the hits, I found it had a lot of filler. That said, those hits... are really, really good. It's gonna get a good rating from me for those alone. Faves: One Way Or Another, Sunday Girl, Heart Of Glass
Exceeded my expectations. Bit of a big anxious melancholy wall of sound, with some beautiful melodies mixed in. Faves: The Fear, Help The Aged, This Is Hardcore
Maybe I'm just feeling melancholic because I just kind of broke someone's heart, but these songs got me feeling sappy. Faves: Patterns, Homeward Bound, The Dangling Conversation, 7 O'Clock News / Silent Night
Not an album I can be objective about, since I used to listen to this all the time in uni. Still, I can try: the mix of absurdist dark humor yet at the same time chillingly personal lyrics, so many catchy hooks, and beats that fit it all seemingly - this is obviously a classic. Faves: Kill You, Stan, The Way I Am, The Real Slim Shady, Remember Me?, Marshall Mathers, Criminal
This was a lot more calm and diverse of an album than I expected, based on his earlier work with the Stooges. Not half bad, though I think it's a little aged. Faves: Hello Hooray, Raped and Freezin', I Love the Dead
Very experimental and competently produced, which is respectable, but does it sound good? Not to me, honestly - aside from a few moments. Faves: Little Red Riding Hood Hit The Road
They're decent songs, but to me it's just all a bit the same. Faves: Only You Know, In and out of the Shadows, Runaway Man
Much more bluesy than I expected beforehand, having known only the Stones' biggest hits. Faves: Rip This Joint, Tumbling Dice, Sweet Virginia
Enjoyable little country folk album. Faves: Guitar Town, Hillbilly Highway, Fearless Heart, Down The Road
Such an intricately orchestrated and diverse album. Doesn't work well for me to listen to songs separately, but as an overall experience, it's pretty nice. Faves: Come On! Feel the Illinoise!" (Part I: "The World's Columbian Exposition" / Part II: "Carl Sandburg Visits Me in a Dream, Jacksonville, Chicago
Very funky, very chill. Faves: Le Freak, Savoir Faire, I Want Your Love, At Last I Am Free
Very Britpoppy, but not very catchy. Some nice moments, but overall it lacks interesting melodies and progressions if you ask me. I think the British bias of this list shows in albums like this. Faves: I Hang Suspended, Wish I Was Skinny, Barney (...and Me)
Very Y2K, almost Frutiger Aero. Chill listen, but a bit dated and repetitive. Faves: MJ FM Interlude, I See, Sincere - Re-Cue'D,
One of the chillest albums ever made, surely. Very relaxing and beautiful. Faves: La femme d'argent, All I Need (feat. Beth Hirsch), Kelly Watch the Stars, Ce matin-là
Leave it to U2 to front load an album. Great production, unique style, a few amazing classic songs, and a lot of filler. New Year's Day and Sunday Bloody Sunday alone make it worth a good rating. Faves: Sunday Bloody Sunday, New Year's Day, The Refugee
Incredibly innovative album, self-produced, influential - but something about the wall of sound production and melodies on here just doesn't do it for me. Faves: International Feel, Just One Victory
Huge double album with some bangers and experimentation, that even when it isn't good, is at least interesting.. I prefer André's side though - for how weird and personal he dares to be, and the funky instrumentation throughout. 3 for Speakerboxxx and 4 for The Love Below for me - guess I'll round it up. Faves: The Way You Move, Flip Flop Rock, Last Call, Love Hater, Hey Ya!, She's Alive, Take Off Your Cool
What looked like a front-loaded album on Spotify streams, I actually found to get better and better. There's simply not a bad song on this album. Well produced, full of catchy hooks and tight grooves. Faves: Jet, Mrs. Vandebilt, Let Me Roll It, Mamunia, Nineteen Hundred And Eighty Five
Good production/singing/instrumentals, but the lyrics and melodies just don't stick out to me. Faves: You Tripped at Every Step, Sulky Girl
Very ambitious album that combines many things I love. Funk, sci-fi synthesizers, psychedelic guitars, theatrical orchestrations and magical melodies. Most of it works perfectly, but it has a few lulls. I just slightly prefer Dirty Computer over it, which would easily earn 5 stars from me but isn't part of the 1001 Albums list - a huge shame. And we're ranking ArchAndroid here, so alas, I'm giving 4 stars with a heavy heart and hope that I'll be able to one day give Dirty Computer 5 here. Faves: Faster, Cold War, Tightrope, Oh Maker, Come Alive (War of the Roses), Mushrooms & Roses, Wondaland
This music, while quite competent, transports me to a time and place I'd rather not be. Faves: How Could I Be Wrong
Nice music to vibe to. Nothing particularly memorable, but I was shocked to see how old it is - yet how good it sounds. Faves: Wild Jungle, Holiday
Sounds well ahead of its time for 1979, but as a listen nowadays, I find the music (that it likely inspired) more enjoyable. Faves: Damaged Goods, I Found That Essence Rare, At Home He's a Tourist
Great concept album that contains some of my favourite songs of all time and tells a story along the way. That said, I don't think the whole thing adds up to more than the sum of its parts, and it goes on for a bit long. Faves: Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 2, Mother, Comfortably Numb, The Trial
Well ahead of its time in 1988. Great unpolished garage rock record that still holds up today. Gigantic especially is a criminally underrated song. Faves: Gigantic, River Euphrates, Where Is My Mind
Pretty alright 90's British alt rock. Aside from the banger that is One to Another, not too special though. Faves: One to Another, You're a Big Girl Now
The soundtrack to my life for a little while as a 20-and-a-bit-year-old. Hard to rate this objectively. But for me, it's among the best ever. Faves: The Bends, High and Dry, Fake Plastic Trees, Just, Black Star, Sulk
Very Blues-y, American-sounding album for a British band, I feel. I'll be damned if it doesn't pull it off though. Also, Sympathy For The Devil is an absolute banger and alone makes this a worthwile album. Faves: Sympathy For The Devil, No Expectations, Jigsaw Puzzle, Street Fighting Man
I wish the 1001 Albums list was more like this - some of the best music from around the world. This is completely new to me and not my usual cup of tea, but includes some great songs that shine even through the language barrier. At times it even gives me a slight City Pop vibe. Faves: Tiro Ao Álvaro, O Que Foi Feito Devera (De Vera), Aprendendo A Jogar
The concept of this album alone is gold. So much stage presence, interaction, and atmosphere that it's almost as if you're there. And the songs are decent and at times even funny, to boot. Faves: Folsom Prison Blues, I Still Miss Someone, 25 Minutes to Go, Orange Blossom Special, Dirty Old Egg-Suckin' Dog
After a bit of exploring, I'm conviced they put the wrong White Denim album here by not including Corsicana Lemonade. Ah well, I have to rate D now. This is really impressive and cool music, that blends so many influences and has much more variation than I expected beforehand. Great drumming too. That all said - it didn't make me *feel* that much. That said, this must've slapped live. Faves: Back at the Farm, Street Joy
This album doesn't sound like anything I've ever heard before, nor does any song sound like any other. Not something I'd place on regular rotation, but weirdly interesting enough to make for a nice change of pace. In The Neighborhood is a wonderful, catchy gem too. Faves: Underground, In The Neighborhood
I don't know what it is about the production on this album, but it sounds uniquely balanced, treble-y, restrained. Whatever the case, while I don't care for every track, it's overall a really nice indie garage rock record. The title track especially is an absolute banger. Faves: Is This It, Someday, Last Nite
I'm not sure if this album is good. But I like it, and its typically late 80's-early-hip-hop drum machine breakbeats. Most of the album is worthy a 3-star review, but Manchild is such a fantastic song with a beautiful chord progression that it just barely chucks the whole album in the 4-star category for me. Faves: Buffalo Stance, Manchild, Kisses On The Wind, Heart
A few standout tracks (especially funky Barbarism), but overall not my favourite collection of Smiths songs - and it truly does feel like just a collection of songs. Faves: The Joke Isn't Funny Anymore, Barbarism Begins At Home, Meat is Murder
Catchy, no-nonsense garage rock music. Just can't go wrong with it. Faves: Hotel Yorba, Fell In Love With a Girl, The Same Boy You've Always Known, We're Going to be Friends, I Think I Smell a Rat
Pretty cool, ahead of its time for 1980 and I can imagine it must've been a blast live. Not particularly catchy or interesting songwriting-wise though, and a bit dated. Faves: Dog Eat Dog, Antmusic, Feed Me to the Lions
Creative and very personal set of songs. Liability in particular, is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in a while. Great album cover too. Faves: Green Light, Hard Feelings/Loveless, Liability
One of the most boomer-rockiest albums I've ever heard. It's practically a perfect cliché. Damn if it doesn't sound good though. Faves: More Than a Feeling, Peace of Mind, Rock & Roll Band
Interesting production and amazing vocals. The songwriting and overall style isn't really my thing though. Faves: Take Me Apart, Blue Light, Altadena
ABBA generally just seems to know the right chords and melodies to make the dopamine in my brain go brr. This isn't their best outing though. A shame Voulez-vous and Super Trouper are not on the 1001 list, but I have to judge this album on its own merit. Faves: The Visitors, Head Over Heels, When All Is Said And Done, One Of Us
Relaxing album with some nice melodies and harmonies. Faves: Wooden Ships, Helplessly Hoping, Song with No Words
Enjoyable soulful album. Exactly what it says on the tin. Faves: Cry To Me, Goodbye Bab (Baby Goodbye), If You Need Me
Some amazing bangers on this. Cyndi goes all out with the vocals, too. Faves: Money Changes Everything, Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Time After Time, All Through the Night
The highlight of this album is clearly the full, long version of Papa Was A Rollin' Stone, but it has a few other tracks worth listening too as well. Faves: Papa Was A Rollin' Stone, Love Woke Me Up This Morning, The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face
I knew I was going to give this 5 stars halfway through the album. Beautiful melodies, harmonies and orchestration. Absolutely masterpiece and right up my alley. Faves: Bridge Over Troubled Water, El Condor Pasa (If I Could), Cecilia, Keep The Customer Satisfied ,The Boxer, Baby Driver
Very well produced, cohesive concept album that sadly has aged all too well and is still very relevant. That said, for all its fame and recognition, I found the songwriting a bit repetitive and not melodic enough for my taste. Faves: What's Going On, Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology)
Damn, this thing's got some pretty pretty songs - even at its gloomiest. Faves: willow, gold rush, no body, no crime, happiness, right where you left me
Very futuristic for its time - a songwriting reminiscent of the 80s, but production is surely entering the 90s. Dark brooding synthesizers work well with the these slightly cheesy, but catchy melodic songs. Faves: Personal Jesus, Halo, Enjoy the Silence, Policy of Truth
Every ringtone Samsung has made in the 2000's tried to recapture the magic of this album's sound, but never quite made it. Very trance-y, clubby, Y2K-y, and just right. Really, Frozen alone makes this worth a 4-star rating, criminally underrated song. Faves: Drowned World / Substitute for Love, Ray of Light, Frozen
It seems that if it's a classic 80s pop album, I just can't hate it. Yeah it's aged, but it just sounds so good. Glorious, velvety smooth cheese. Faves: Faith, Father Figure, Kissing a Fool
There's a sense of melancholy and prettiness to this one. And beautiful instrumentation and production to boot. Nothing that I really love though, but every song is at least decent. Faves: Femme Fatale, Holocaust, Nature Boy
One of the most no-skip albums of all time. A classic for good reasons, if you ask me. Every song is just good. Faves: Second Hand News, Dreams, Never Going Back Again, Don't Stop, Go Your Own Way, The Chain, I Don't Want to Know
I guess slow, electronic R&B just isn't my thing. There's a few songs on here that I like, and SZA has a great voice, but as an album it feels repetitive and sleep inducing. Faves: Supermodel, Doves In The Wind (feat. Kendrick Lamar), Normal Girl
The barrage of noise and audible violence is perfectly balanced by a couple of atmospheric instrumentals and ballads. I enjoyed this more than I expected, really. Faves: March Of The Pigs, Closer, Hurt
Very chill, classic 90's hiphop. But the variety in instrumentation, songs, and even a few really good covers make it a much nicer album experience than most of the sort. Faves: How Many Mics, Ready or Not, Killing Me Softly with His Song, No Woman, No Cry
After a few listens (and comparisons to the studio recordings), I'm convinced this is the best way to listen to many Van Morrison songs. Faves: Warm Love, These Dreams of You, Bring It on Home to Me, Saint Dominic's Preview
Like vanilla ice cream on the beach on a hot summer's day. Nothing particularly spectacular, but always good. A bit front loaded too, if you ask me. Faves: Walk On, See the Sky About to Rain, Revolution Blues, Vampire Blues
Not my favourite album ever, but it feels really ahead of its time for 1988, so that gets some bonus points. It goes really hard at points. Faves: Had a Dad, Standing in the Shower... Thinking, Jane Says, Pigs in Zen
Pretty satisfying minimal production, with very interesting instrumentals here and there. Overall not the most interesting songwriting melodies though - it gets a bit mechanical after a while. Faves: Intro, Crystalised, Islands
Competent songs that sound very good. Some daring diverse and long songs, too. I bet this would be fantastic in a live setting, but as an album it didn't really grab me. Faves: Knowledge of Beauty, The Waltz
Starts off very strong, but gets too repetitive for my liking in terms of timbre and melody. But how do you even rate an album like this against the others? Faves: Acknowledgement
He just does not miss. This album is a spiritual experience. Faves: Living For The City, Golden Lady, Higher Ground, All In Love Is Fair, He's Misstra Know-It-All
It's so bad but it's so good. Very front loaded, but then again, this isn't meant to be some connoisseur fine dining soundtrack, just classic glam rock. Faves: Runnin' with the Devil, Eruption, You Really Got Me, Ain't Talkin' Bout Love, Jamie's Cryin',
Very energetic, catchy, creative, danceable indie pop rock. It just works. Faves: Jacqueline, Take Me Out, The Dark Of The Matinée, Auf Achse, 40'
Some beautiful melodies, soundscapes and passionate singing. Björk's voice is a major selling point. It's a bit front loaded however - I lost interest at the end. Faves: Stonemilker, Lionsong, Notget
A few really good tracks, but as an album, it has too much filler to stand out. Faves: Mother's Little Helper, Lady Jane, Under My Thumb
A beautiful, psychedelic, melodic set of songs with incredible orchestration and a minstrel-like, cartoony atmosphere. Surprisingly enjoyable, if you're down for that kind of stuff. Faves: Only Dreaming Now, Triangle, The Worlf of Velvet Fortune, Old Kentucky Home
Not Bob's best showing if you ask me, but it has a couple nice tracks on it. Faves: Tangled up in Blue, Simple Twist of Fate
