Someone's been in my room and taken my beers away from my room. I think that's exactly how I felt listening to this. Super early gritty black sabbath, absolutely gorgeous and I love how the guitars sound, especially in Under the Sun, just some great riffs.
I mean I am not a huge jazz fan and I DEFINITELY did not like all of the songs on this album, but I think if you want something that is good for like a Christmas party or get together with friends and you want something in the background for good noise, this would provide it
Considering there was songs on here that I actually knew it was an enjoyable listen. I never really listened to any other Springsteen songs other than the mainstream ones, but the full album was actually a good listen. I am sad that Jeremy Allen White didn't sing though.
Honestly, I have not really listened to all that many albums all the way through, and this was one of my first. On top of that, it was a classic blues album, which I have never really sat down to listen. This may be one of my new favorite cooking music genres, especially starting with this album, it was absolutely amazing. From the grungy vocals to the phenomenal harmonica, I found myself wanting more even after the 49 minute time of the album. If someone was looking for an album to start with in the blues genre, this is what I would recommend. Just blown away.
I mean personally I don't think I would every listen and like go out of my way to listen to an album like this, but it was still super enjoyable. I think the fun music throughout with the vibrant energy and the live track played into the enjoyment a lot. I felt myself humming along or bouncing with the loud trumpets and drums. Really solid.
It was pretty decent but kinda airy?
It was like ASMR but I wanted to kill myself the entire time
It felt like I was listening to a punky "The Clash: vibe sometimes, with other songs being like Johnny Cash but like he wasn't really trying and breathing heavy into the mic LOL but I did like it enough to listen, just wasn't the BIGGEST fan in the world.
I mean it was fine, honestly I was expecting worse when I saw some other reviews LOL. I think the songs for me kinda blended together too much, like I didn't even realize that the album ended when the songs continued. I think this can be a blessing and a curse, where if all of the songs are good that it can feel like its just banger after banger. I think in this case, all the songs were just like mid throughout. I felt like I was listening to a reaaaallly slow twangy blues country album, which is pretty much what I expected coming in. Overall, not my favorite country music but I think I came out happier than what I expected coming in.
I've never really listened to Joni Mitchell a lot. My mom always said she was a favorite when she was in college, and I can see why. This album was just a joy to listen to. I feel like the swells in the music, especially in Down to You were super enjoyable. I also love whenever strings or brass is in music, and the use in the album wasn't crazy to take over the song, but really complimented well throughout.
It was just punky and funky enough. It was a really enjoyable listen, with at least 3 songs I already knew and loved, but I definitely felt like I could come back and listen to it again without a problem.
This was a tough one to rate. I mean objectively I have never really heard of anything like it. It almost felt like I was listening to some pop from like Elton John, but if they also happened to run into the music from like Phantom of the Opera and they had a baby and played the music together. Super unique sound that I haven't really heard before. I don't think I would come back to listen to it again, but if it was on in the background of like a theater party it would be perfect.
I've only ever listened to mainstream songs from R.E.M. and I have to say this as a first album to get more into their discography was super enjoyable. I think one of my favorite songs was Catapult.
Unexpectedly fun to listen to. I don't think I knew any pixies songs BESIDES Where is my Mind, and I was super impressed listening to this. Big fan.
So I always heard from my dad that Madonna was the "it" of the 80s and 90s, but honestly I mean while it was good it wasn't my favorite. Maybe because it just isn't my favorite genre / style? It was a very close race between a 3 and a 4 but I think it was 1 song away from being a 4.
Yeah there was definitely sitar and some music was definitely played here. I would give it a 1 but the sitar playing was decent enough that it wasn't unlistenable.
LORD KNOWS I CAN'T CHANGE
Yeah I mean if you like music to listen to when you're high this is a pretty good listen, I really liked Broken Heart a lot and I think the mix of different instruments throughout kept me fairly engaged
