I have no idea what I was listening to in 2000, but it wasn’t this. We Float was my favorite track. Radiohead/Tori Amos sound. Probably won’t listen again, but did enjoy the quality songwriting and complex arrangements.

Disintegration by The Cure
Dec 09 2025

What a great album to get immersed in! So well arranged and produced. Love!

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Dec 10 2025

Listening, I can understand how groundbreaking this would have been. Not something to repeat regularly, but I did enjoy!

In Utero by Nirvana
Dec 11 2025

I remember this music well. Back then, I tried to love it, but I’m over trying to enjoy things I don’t. I’m just not cool enough to like this music. However, it’s an excellent example of pure grunge, with punk and rock influences.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Dec 15 2025

My two favorite TP songs are on this album: Breakdown and American Girl.

Chelsea Girl by Nico
Dec 17 2025

Little bit beat neck-y for me. Didn’t listen to the whole thing.

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Dec 24 2025

Great example of what’s now classic rock.

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Dec 30 2025

This is quite compelling and I would like to know more of the story behind it.

Strange Cargo III by William Orbit
Dec 31 2025

This was cool. Listened to it twice.

The Nightfly by Donald Fagen
Jan 01 2026

Somehow, quality yacht rock almost always is appropriate.

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
Jan 08 2026

What a fun version of Psycho Killer!

1999 by Prince
Jan 09 2026

Sooo sexual and fantastic.

It's Blitz! by Yeah Yeah Yeahs

This was fine. Good background music.

She’s the queen. That is all.

Green Onions by Booker T. & The MG's
Jan 20 2026

Would love to hear a story about this album and all it has inspired.

Everything Must Go by Manic Street Preachers
Jan 21 2026

This gives $5 Solo Cup 1990s keg house party in a college town.

Jan 22 2026

Never heard any of these songs, but really enjoyed this album. Although I don’t know much about music, the arrangements, writing, and production all seemed excellent.

Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Rós
Jan 23 2026

Great background music. Maybe I need to re listen and immerse.

Home Is Where The Music Is by Hugh Masekela
Jan 26 2026

This was a whole weekend ago! Totally forgot, but giving 4 stars be it was probably good.

Jan 29 2026

Spotify wouldn’t load the album so I listened to Mothership instead. Still giving 5 stars because I love funk!

The Visitors by ABBA
Jan 30 2026

Appreciated it more than I expected, but still not a fan.

Feb 03 2026

I appreciate that the date is included in the description. Not my jam, but appreciate what it influenced.

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Feb 10 2026

This brings back middle school thrill. I later had this album…entire Beastie collection, in fact. Love.

Nick Of Time by Bonnie Raitt
Feb 11 2026

Brings back my dental office working days. All the middle aged folks were listening to this album back in the day. Some quality easy listening.

Seems influential on Foo Fighters and other 90s music.

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Feb 19 2026

Really enjoyed this metal relic! So influential!

Play by Moby
Feb 24 2026

Torn on this one. I think I loved it back in the 90s, but am so tired of the songs now. Talking with Brian K about it gave it another star for me.

Not my thing. Listened to first half and gave up. I’m sure was cutting edge for its time!

So cheesy, but I liked it. I want to see a biopic starring Jack Black.

Apr 16 2026

This gives middle aged horn-dog woman. Which explains why my preteen sons hated it passionately.
