1001 Albums Summary

I was pretty far into life before I began to appreciate live albums. This is one of them that helped me to understand how great they can be.

Wait, See No Evil by Joe Jackson is a cover? This band is awesome. Immediately started listening to their other two albums.

A full album of James Bond songs. I see the appeal, and am glad to listen, but can't picture myself wanting to listen to this routinely.

Don't mind me, just dancing at my desk. I will say, it's easier to have a classic album when it's only 9 songs. I can appreciate the musicianship, but I'm a songwriting guy, so not speaking Spanish puts a limit on my appreciation. Hard for me to place into context.

I know this album so well that it's hard to listen intentionally. God, Keith Moon was awesome.

Hot diggity damn, I needed something like this for my mood this morning. Perfect album.

Just not my style of music (heavily produced and mixed).

Again, not my favorite style of music, but I'm getting the appeal of this more than most.

If Kanye had died in 2011, he would be considered one of the greatest artists who ever lived. It's truly incredible how somebody this introspective has become what he has. In hindsight, though, there were some clues there.

Dammit, now I have to get into The Zombies.

Reminds me of a better Cold War Kids.

A death album in line with The Wind (Warren Zevon) and Blackstar (David Bowie)...the title track is outstanding.

I really think this may be my favorite single album ever. What a singular talent.

I just don't get reggae.

I very much enjoyed listening to this, though I don't know when I would want to go back and listen again.

Much more sonically inventive than the Joni Mitchell I was previously aware of.

Feels like the songs are as good as any later Costello, but the production is slightly off.
