Woah!!! This was actually really really cool. Reminds me of a bunch of contemporary artists — like Sylvan Esso (male + female duo, less dance my though), Portis Head, and even gives me Billie Eilish inspiration vibes with the eerie vocals. Also a hidden Kanye sample in here. Really enjoyed this actually haha.
This was actually pretty cool! Really liked the first song and seems like some funny/cool old country to have in your lexicon.
Absolutely amazing. These dudes continue to be one of my favorite classic rock bands. I’m not sure why, but something about the swamp rock style is really appealing to me. Maybe it’s nostalgic? You know, the war.
This was great! Some killer 50s-60s “Back to the Future” vibes. Good find
I didn’t find any favorites here, but a very classic country sound with lots of steel and slide guitar. Cool find, should know the artist at least.
A little too long and chaotic for me, but I definitely have more respect for them now.
Solid! Some classic for sure. A bit early for some of the tunes, but greats nonetheless

Found a few classics on here — a good intro to Dylan
Prettt iconic sound, pretty out-there. Definitely an influence for modern synth pop stuff
Killer, but not my favorite album of theirs I don’t think. Think I prefer In Rainbows but need to check
A little annoyed to have to listen to this whole album because it was prett long and I’m not a huge fan of his. But I’m glad I did, there are some classics on here, and there is no doubt that he makes beautiful music, his vocal style just misses a bit for me. Found some other greats of his off the radio ssssion though.
Ok, not my favorite, but definitely a pretty important sound. They sound like an influence for Tame Impala ona. Few songs with their binaural tuning and stuff, same with some guitar bits. Went to their artist page and found some iconic 80s tunes of theirs and saved them.
This album has crazy range, some obvious Neil Young, some classic rock, some bluesy stuff. Killer overall.
This was a wild ride. Not crazy about it but found a great song. Cool concept album
Some classics on here. Would be great for an 80s party.
Dope reggae album. Want to keep track of this one so I’m giving it a 5. Good music for hanging
Another amazing one! Loved Santana as a kid but don’t think I realized he was making this stuff back in 1970. Killer
Was due to listen. Classic sound but not my fav
Not for me. Found like one song. They do a few cool sounds, almost like Real Estate and then the occasional reggae sound
I love me some Wilco but this wasn’t my favorite. Easy listening for sure but not many standouts.
This was great! Some killer 50s-60s “Back to the Future” vibes. Good find
Kinda a cool sound haha. Her lyrics are super over the top but a decent listen.
Didn’t love this but tried. I know they’re iconic but aside from this hits I haven’t loved much else
Big improvement from the first album of theirs this list gave me. It’s wild how much they can sway between being outstanding and me finding them totally average. This album has some of their all time classics so it was a great listen.
Blue eyes on this album, which you already liked. Didn’t find any other favs but a cool and unique sound. Solid but not stellar for me
This was actually pretty cool! Really liked the first song and seems like some funny/cool old country to have in your lexicon.
Killer album, should listen more often. Even the songs that aren’t hits are really pleasant. I’m not sure I ever gave enough credit to her band and co.
Obviously has some classics. Funny they sounded so 80s before the 80s. Not my fav sound anymore but again, a classic
Very cool and obviously legendary, just didn’t find more than the hits that I loved.
Definitely legit and a few classics on here. But ultimately still Lorde and not exactly my style. Still solid
I didn’t find any favorites here, but a very classic country sound with lots of steel and slide guitar. Cool find, should know the artist at least.
Ugh, obviously a pretty iconic band but started to all sound the same toward the end. Was not my favorite but worth listening to for the classics
This was actually pretty great! I thought of him as like an 80s artist, maybe for the makeup look etc, but this came out in 72 and is pretty classic rock oriented. Couple great songs and has a West Side Story twinge
This was a tough and long listen, not gonna lie. But I gotta give the man credit he had a couple classics I totally forgot about. BowDiddyWowDeBangDeBangDiggyDiggy!
Meh, didn’t like much. Sorry, pretty sure this is a Velvet Underground Guy… got another one coming up…
Ok these guys have some solid stuff but kinda fuck that album. At least the end — I ended up literally about to smash something during European Son. That shit ain’t music. Sorry I’m in a bad mood but that song honestly might’ve been the reason haha
This was good, enjoyed it. Some classics and the rest pretty listenable, not outstanding to me but still a keeper
Pretty solid but not my favorite. Wild how different / more melodic ‘Maps’ sounds in comparison to the rest of the albums but maybe I’m biased
Damn! This was a beauty!
Not my favorite, but a cool southern/western sound. Tons of steel guitar, would be fun to listen to at a camp sight or something haha

This was a solid classic rock album. Seems like a cross of like Jackson Browne vocals with a somewhat Boston esque sound, but a little calmer. Some decent tunes but idk why but it didnt really stand out to me.
I tried to give this a chance but it was definitely a pretty rough listen for me. Ciao.
This has some classics but I actually didnt enjoy the whole as much as I expected to
Also wasnt wild about this despite the fact that its such a cult favorite. Maybe next time...
This was pretty good! IDK really what it reminded me of, kinda like some of the Steve Windwood's solo career stuff? Sent to Dad but didnt find anything specifically that I loved
Didn't enjoy this as much as I thought I would. Hes still a legend but nothing stood out to me as a favorite. A couple classics but I dont think I'd need to return
Didnt do much for me unfortunately
Ok not gonna lie -- this was another TOUGH one for me. I am sure they were influential and have a unique sound, but to me it sounded like a far worse, more repetitive version of like the Talking Heads (which I like). Not a keeper for me. Looking forward to the next.
I mean, just insanely good. Bangers only. Outstanding, top top top top stuff.
Another one that wasn't really for me. Sounded almost like a tears for fears but without many of the redeeming qualities. Moving on!
Not my favorite but I feel like I could see them being influential. Can hear like hints of the more rock-heavy Stones but these guys take it further. End of the last song had me rip my headphones off haha.
This was killer! great find, would be a great thing to play in the kitchen while cooking dinner or something. Pleased with this one for sure.
Sounds wildly similar to Joni Mitchell's stuff. In one song she even says 'circle' and it immediately made me think of the Circle Game. Pleasant enough but none of it really stuck out to me. Learned that House of the Rising Sun is essentially on old folk tune that's been adapted by many
Influential, im sure, but was tough to get through the whole thing as its pretty long. Was also listening at work to be fair. Still legends.
Hahaha ok I know the Smiths are iconic but I wasn't quite able to appreciate this as much as I should I think. Still some really important 80s sounds (guitar) and classsssssic 80s vocal style. Also last song and the album name are hilarious -- imagine pitching that to your entire band? "Ok what do you think if we write the last song and name the album about being vegetarian?".... Ill have to come back to some of their hits to be converted.
While I really like the best hits of the Strokes, I didn't find the entire album to be as listenable as I thought I would. Still enjoyed it, especially w/ someday and the modern age -- just expected to love it given how iconic the strokes are.
Another pretty heavy 80s sound. Tried to keep an open mind but wasn't really for me.
Wasn't crazy about this one -- a little too indie for me I think. Almost sounded like Wilco but I didn't find as many songs I loved. Cool cample of that Gladys Knight song that Atmosphere samples -- and I didn't hate the two songs at the end.
Obviously a familiar name but realized I had never really listened to him. Only really recognized Allison, but regardless he has a pretty cool style. Like Billy Joel but with more Guitar and rock pizazz
None specifically grabbed me but they are all listenable. Pretty killer stuff and should revisit.
Outstanding. Loved it as a kid -- like it even more now. Blue Ridge Mountains is a damn near flawless song and the album has some killer mystique. 5/5
Haha damn, man, I feel like this has to be the most popular genre on this list. Seems like every other album is a British punk-rock band. I'm trying to give it a fair shake but finding it a bit tough admittedly.
This was pretty cool -- would listen again to have on in the background in the kitchen or outside or something. Approve!
Actually really enjoyed this -- in the past I've tried to give Nirvana a go and was kinda luke-warm. But this album is killer and its funny to hear a bit of his personality.
I mean -- Do I even have to? Not my favorite of his first three, but so damn iconic.
Enjoyed this way more than I thought I would. They are a real embodiment of the 80s. Random thought, but the last song "The Chauffeur" has a really cool sound and seems like its just begging for a modern remake with a big drop on the chorus.
I mean this dude is just an absolute legend. Have hardly ever heard a bad song and this song is just full of jams. 'Imagination' and 'If you think you're lonely now' are incredible.
Pretty cool -- like little beats and tunes with no lyrics. Pretty solid work music and I liked it
Awesome -- great music all around. I'm not sure I realized what a big band musician he was. I always kinda figured more of his stuff was kinda stripped down, but it really sounds like classic 50's-60's big band music. Great for weddings, dinner, and cooking.
Some killer songs on here but think I prefer that live album before this. He definitely goes pretty wildly grunge on a few, but still picked up a few tunes -- Big fan of All Apologies, Rape Me, and of course.... Heart Shaped Box
Solid and I really like the hits but wasn't a fan of all of it. Still an iconic group and Sunshine of your love is obviously a banger
Haha pretty wild. A pretty classic 80s sound with all the synths even tho its a 79 album. Has some classics like "Here in my Car" and was fun for a bit but ultimately got a bit repetitive.
I really owe it to myself to get more into The Who. I listened to this while trying to work (with covid) so I don't think its a really fair shake. Adding it to my "come back later" playlist. Its funny I haven't been able to pinpoint why I prefer other rockbands of the same era more -- maybe they were so early/innovative that it shows a bit?
Maybe it’s Cuase I was working but was not a fan
