I love this record with all my heart

Comfortably the worst record I’ve ever heard. Managed three tracks and that was two too many

Had no idea what to expect from this beyond AOR but certainly wasn’t expecting such a mix of things on one record. Can’t really imagine listening to it again but glad I heard it once.

Big fan of The Jam. Big fan of the Style Council. Found this dull from start to finish when it first came out and a quarter of a century has done nothing to change my mind. Next!

I get why this made such a splash and they’re undoubtedly very accomplished but it’s just not for me and if I here Chan Chan again in my life it’ll be too soon.

A really good example of how familiarity with something affects your appreciation of it. This isn’t really any different, and neither better nor worse, than Core by Stone Temple Pilots, or probably ten other minor league grunge albums. But I heard Core at the time and love it still, while this is my first go on this one and it’s unlistenable heroin grunge nonsense

Easily 35 years since I’ve heard this and surprised at how well it’s aged and how much I remember. Not a bad surprise at all.

Three good-cos-they’re-nostalgic songs and a load of MOR filler.
