Feel like they were polished grunge. Like they were purposefully trying to be mysterious and edgy but in a very clean way…? Had no idea they dropped in ‘87.

Vampire sex dungeon rave music. Its origin story.

This is the first album I’ve actually revised and rated and I’m glad I saved it for this one. 4.3/5. He is who the Beatles thought they were. I assume this album will be the biggest surprise for it least the next 300 albums we listen to on this journey.

Rap is crap type rock music

Very very cohesive album. Fun hearing Kanye rap like the rents due instead of rapping like the landlord. 8.7 but a great reminder how great MBDTF and DONDA are and his growth. Also late registration > college dropout .

Okay, David Bowie today. Happy New Year. I high key might dive into more DB after this. I’ve always wanted to, and never have… even though I’ve seen Labyrinth. This album was made in 1975 and for me that’s personally ironic because I just watched the first episode of SNL ever and that was done in 1975… and it kinda just makes me feel there was this dope sort of anti culture thing going on in the mid 70’s. Also the intro track’s intro sounds like it was the intro theme for SNL (and still is). Like this jazzy upbeat joint. The rest of this album reminds me how much DB must’ve hung around niggas. The song “Fame” I think we all know.
