Has an amazing voice. Very vocally talented, and the songs are built around the vocals. Shows off his rock chops on a couple of songs and at one point I heard a note/tone that reminded me of Metal singers so that's a direction he could have gone. At the end of the day I appreciate the cd and it is an impressive work of art, but it isn't something I'd listen to more than very very occasionally. Sad that we didn't get to see a longer career from him.

Definitely hear how they influenced the Beatles and beach boys. I understand why they’re important but wouldn’t listen for enjoyment. Very short album, short songs.

Sting's Bass lines were the best part of the album to me. Several very good songs, but On Any Other Day didn't fit and took me out of it. I'd prefer to give it a 3.5 but it's closer to a 4 than a 3 for me

Songs I liked a lot: immigrant song, tangerine, that’s the way, bron-y-aur stomp. Loved the blue eyed Merle reference as a lover of Aussie shepherds

I really enjoyed the debut album from the xx when it came out in 2011. This album is a spiritual successor and the influence is undeniable. Two weeks was a standout song
