Alice In ChainsI liked it! one of my first grunge records, and it lived up to what i imagined grunge to be. Sickman was my favorite.

first country album. Took some time but I ended up liking it. I liked here i am
a favorite of mine. It's like the sunniest, happiest album ever made, with a dash of jingly-ness to it. Favorites for Only God knows and I wasn't made for these times!
Super Interesting. Leonard's voice is super gravelly and provides an interesting contrast to the more subdued production. The Writing however is fucking fantastic. Leaving the Table is genuinely one of the most beautiful songs ever. Fantastic album.
It was a little mixed. There was some filler, but inside there were some genuinely great ideas on here. Favorites were she's so loose, alright, and time to go. Prob an 8 or 7.
This certainly is an album.... By the Black Keys.... called Brothers. I keep confusing them with The Black Eyed Peas. It's Ok, but God, all it makes me wanna do is listen to Jimi Hendrix, or the Rolling Stones, or one of the hundreds of better Blues Rock albums that came before it. You'd think in the about 70 years since it's peak, The Keys could find something to "modernize" or do anything interesting with the Blues Genre, but there is little that really makes the album stand out or feel worth it. This isn't a project that tried something interesting and failed, It just feels so middle of the road and basic. There isn't too much wrong with it or anything, there's just little that it does right either. 4/10
Holy Shit I did not expect to love this as much as I did. The bass on this thing is so crunchy and big, and it makes every song sound massive in scale. Justice was apparently going for a "Opera-Disco" style similar to a Rock-Opera album, and it succeeds in strides. This album feels like a Electronic/Disco journey for lack of a better word. I was worried the energy would die down too much, but it never did and just kept on rolling. If I had a complaint, it's that I wished they played up the theatrics more with some of the vocals. The lyrics aren't taking themselves too seriously, mostly joking about partying. That doesn't really change much though, and the Theatrics in the production alone carry in that department. Honestly might be a 10/10, I'm super surprised at how cool this was. Nice job, Justice.
Loved it. Nick Drake is a fantastic songwriter and the rest of the atmosphere feels so warm and inviting. I don't have too much to say beyond that but I think it's an album that's better listened to then talked about. 9/10
Purple Rain is arguably the most acclaimed and best albums of all time, and you want to know the secret as to why? Because it is one of the best albums of all time. Yeah, no shockers here. I could straight up end the review at "It's Purple Rain" and everyone would agree. I mean, It's Purple Fucking Rain; Of course it's a damn masterpiece. For an album themed around purple, It's fittingly one of the most colorful albums I've ever heard. It goes from Rock to Pop to Soul and more. Everything here is so vibrant and awe-inspiring. I could keep going, but I truly don't need. It's Purple Rain, and those Three words are already enough. 10/10
Pretty Decent. I usually listen to albums for this at night so this was a fittingly calm album. I'm surprised at how much some people on this site hate this thing. It feels pretty inoffensive for the most part. 8/10
You know, I didn't really know what this was going in and I'm still not sure after finishing it. This was weird as shit and it was cool. It was a bit iffy in the first half but the second half is great. It gets some points off for the White person reggae but I did genuinely feel like I gained something from this. 8/10
Acoustic punk, huh. My teacher used to call me that! This website's been really in the mood to give me punk albums. This was good! I feel like I need to listen further to really grasp the album, but off first listen it was decently enjoyable. 7/10
Jangle Pop! My dad's a massive REM fan, but I've somehow never heard a song from them. Thankfully, It was great. Jangle pop as a genre is just so nice to me, and this is just a great example of everything it does well. I'm glad to have something new to connect with my dad! -9/10
Psychedelia is a Genre that's always appealed to me. I love music that keeps me guessing. Sadly, my experience with it hasn't been as in-depth as I'd want, though I've still listened to a decent amount. This is to say that I can't say for certain if this is truly unique and great or a whatever piece of Psychedelic Rock. I mean, 1967 also had the Doors, Sgt. Pepper, Jimi Hendrix, and more of the most beloved Psych Rock Acts. What if I just like this because I haven't heard better stuff like it? At the end of the day, though, I can't review based on a future possibility. In the present, I did quite enjoy this album. It's only around 30 minutes so it's short but sweet. I don't think anything could prepare me for Toonerville Trolley. That song was actually crazy. It's a super fun and interesting album Also I very much thought they said the N word during Toonerville Trolley, but thankfully they apparently were saying "knickers" 8/10, sorry if the first paragraph sounded pretentious.
First Tom Waits Album! I know he's a decently acclaimed guy and I believe has other albums on here which I'm excited for. The Obvious standout is the voice. It's the most Raspy and Gravelly voice I've ever heard and I love it. It's really something I don't think I've ever heard something similar to, It's crazy. Paired with some bluesy tracks and a couple piano ballads, it creates something super interesting. This makes me super excited for further albums by Waits since apparently this isn't considered his best, and was a great introduction. 8/10
She has a good voice. Adele is pretty odd. I guess the right would to describe would be adult contemporary? It's not really the same genre but it's so similar otherwise, appealing primarily to older audiences. There was some other review that pointed this out but she's writing at 25 about missing being young. That's really funny to point out, but Adele kinda just has the vibe of an older parent or something, it's weird. The album is itself is kinda a mixed bag sadly. This is pretty poppy in a way that undercuts the emotion at points. The songs can also blend together in a way that makes the album seem kinda... boring? One of the tags for this is literally "boring." There really are some great highlights, but the rest is just... boring. 5/10
I always get excited when this recommends me a country album since it's easily the genre I'm the least familiar with. Sadly the main audience of country tends to be straight white people and I am neither. That being said I really enjoyed this. Nanci (not Nancy surprisingly) Griffith has a really nice voice and the nice plucks and guitars are super nice. It blends together a little bit but the album's appealing enough for me to want to listen to it more and distinguish each song. 8/10
Brian Eno is so cool man... I'll just randomly learn about an older rock act and Eno almost always happened to work with them, including this one. What an awesome guy. Shout Out to him. Anyways, Glam Rock! It's a genre That feels like it would be less beloved than it is, but thankfully people like Bowie are some of the most beloved musicians of all time. This Album here is my first Glam rock album outside of Bowie's discography and I gotta say that It was actually fantastic. It feels like just about all you could want in a Glam Rock album with a dash of interesting production. The songs lean on the longer side, but it's hard to notice with how wrapped up you get in them for me. Genuinely loved it. 9/10
This was Great! The Band got a nice vibe to them and it feels like something I haven't really heard before. It's one of my new favorites so far! 9/10
I LOVE NEW WAVE OH MY GOD I LOVE NEW WAVE ITS SO COOL OMGHUIUFDOHDOIHOHF loved save a prayer and rio 9/10
Site deleted my last two reviews >:( Anyways, more roxy music! this time it's the self titled one. This was also great, though some songs kinda overstayed their welcome. 8/10
Charles Mingus was already probably my favorite jazz musician. Ah Hum is so good and is one of my favorite albums ever. So now I get to listen to his most acclaimed work! I'm gonna try and write this in real time too! Track A sets this off on a super high note. Those Horns are insane! And the climax at the end is fantastic. I cried to Track B. It's so good Oh my god. The Horns once again are out of this world, but the piano here is utterly perfect. The Speed-ups are crazy and the slowdowns are even better. Track C has a flute!?! And a guitar!?? Holy cow this is so good. Man I don't even know what to say, this is just perfect. Now the Medley. the guitar is back and better then ever. I genuinely am having trouble describing this. It's changing every second it's insane. It just keeps going it's like a forest of sound it's unbelievable. It just goes where ever it pleases and pulls you along for the ride. It's beautiful. Well, that is easily my new favorite jazz album and one of my new all time favorite albums ever. Genuinely Perfect, I have no complaints. 10/10
her voice is fun. This is surprisingly trip-hoppy. Obviously it's still primarily rock and it isn't every song, but there are so many trip hop sounds here. The harmonica is also pretty interesting. The lyrics combine with the vocals sometimes in a weird vibe that I'm not sure if I like. Otherwise pretty good. 8/10
More Country! This has a coat of many colors cover which is funny since that was my second album on this site. Also a good beatles cover. Idk if these are all covers but they're all good. It doesn't do too much beyond being some good country, but it's good for what it is. 7/10
I messed up and almost listened to metallica. Woopsys! :p Anyways, like many kids, I was exposed to a lot of AC/DC by my parents. When I was younger, I was kinda uninterested in music as a whole since so much of my childhood felt built to make you think music is boring (like why have a music class at a school if you only teach about classical music and play a recorder???). AC/DC was never really able to break me out of that boredom, which is fair, it's not their job to help ME specifically get into music, and now, I honestly still don't feel too much about them. This feels like a very people pleaser type of album. A lot of "Sick rock'n Roll™" and hard rock solos. Despite that, There doesn't feel like a whole lot here. Title track is still great, but the rest feels a little too derivative of it. It's good, but I don't feel a lot about it. 6/10
This is the second album on here that I’ve already listened to, and what do you know it’s another favorite of mine.
Grungy as hell and I'm here for it. There's a bit of filler but for the most part it's just some good grunge. A little simple but does well for what it is. 7/10
OMG BJORK Im a big Bjork fan, and this is in the upper echelon of her discography. Thank you to the person who introduce Bjork to Arca. They are a match made in heaven and make this one of the most interesting to listen albums ive had on this site. I'm not sure if it's a ten but its close enough to give it that on this site. 9/10
Very good. I don't have a lot to say cuz im tired but its pretty good 9/10
this was actually really nice. I kinda teared up at point. It feels very laidback and genuine, it's nice. they cover watergate which is fun. it was nice :) 9/10
Yooooo this is my first Bob Dylan Album! I like the look hes giving me. Looks like hes holding in a sneeze. I think I like this guy. These are some pretty great songs. Wonder if he was important or something. 10/10
Neil Young! Another generational songwriter. And just like the last I'm a fan. Neil's got a super captivating style. Despite the lengths, the songs all feel like they never go on more then they deserve to. I wasn't expecting to give mr. young a ten already but I think I am! 10/10
Smile is a legendary album with a few versions out, so just to be clear, I listened to the smile sessions version. I sobbed uncontrollably. This is one of the most beautiful albums I've ever heard. Despite technically being unfinished, It moved me in a way almost no other album has. Brian Wilson was a genius and insanely influential producer, and he perfectly created a lush, breathtaking experience from front to back. I read through his history while listening, and it was so much to take in. Creating something like this masterpiece in the face of so much tragedy is so unbelievable. Rest In Peace, Mr Wilson, I'm so sorry I couldn't appreciate your work to the fullest until now. 10/10
stevie sure is a wonder... 9/10
The quality is really bad in the one I found and desperately needs a remaster. The Album Itself though is alright. It sounds like an old jukebox. It's just really hard to listen to with the quality it's at though, sadly, so I can't really enjoy it that much. 4/10
It was nice. Pretty okay album, if a little un-unique at times. A lot of stoner themes which I can get down with. 7/10
I liked this! It was pretty good singer-songwriter stuff. Would Recommend. 9/10
Pretty good! There's a bit of fluff but generally the songs are pretty cool. 8/10
I really wished i liked this more. I love the vocalist and she's putting in her all, but the instrumentation around her is just super whatever to me. When it isn't, it's super cool, like Maps and Rich, but otherwise it doesn't really work for me. 5/10
GOAT GOAT GOAT OF ALL TIME HERE Joni Mitchell is a legend and this album is peak. Arguably the best Singer-Songwriter album of all time. It's awesome. 10/10
I've been tired of Mr. Brightside for about 7 years now. The Rest is really uninteresting. Reminds me of Red Hot Chili Peppers. 3/10
This is very of out my depth but it's pretty nice! 7/10 Sorry for writing less recently
a little whatever to me 6/10
I've been putting off getting into Mr. Wonder's music besides Talking Book and wow was that a mistake. This is actually Perfect, one of the best albums I've ever heard. How does an album this long be so consistently full of life? I could see any of the 20+ songs being someone's favorite and I'm not even sure mine yet. Genuinely fantastic, easiest ten of my life. 10/10
this isn't the love album everyone raves about, but it was pretty nice! 8/10
eh 5/10
songs are a but too long at times but otherwise its peak dad rock 8/10
VERY outside of my usual listening but it's pretty good. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan I believe is the vocalist and is incredibly impassioned and emotional in his delivery. It's actually pretty cool and I might try out more of this! 8/10
Can you believe the singer also made gorillaz? 8/10
this was actually super nice. Every song feels super cozy and peaceful. Super Nice for the night before my birthday. :) 9/10
One of the tags for this album is just "sex" lmao So D'Angelo is probably the greatest Neo-Soul artist of all time. Neo-soul as a genre is my quintessential "rnb." It was what I grew up think was rnb and while Rnb is a much broader and honestly kinda pointless grouping of genres, Neo-soul has always been THE rnb genre in my eyes. So when I say D'Angelo is the king of Neo-soul, that is a MAJOR compliment. Is it the masterpiece that is voodoo? No, but it is a fantastic album and an insane debut. I feel like I could do literally anything and this in the background would make it better. Great album 9/10
confusing but pretty good 9/10
it clicked halfway through. great 95/100 im ranking like this now
in between mentioning him in the electric prunes album and now I've actually listened to the other two Jimi Hendrix Albums. From that I've learn that Mr. Hendrix does not miss! This is probably the weakest of his three core albums and it's still insane. 95/100
A live album! and a hella good one at that. I need to listen to more thin Lizzy after this because this completely sold me on them. There is so much energy and awesomeness here it's sick! It avoids basically all the tropes I don't like about Hard Rock and keeps the best aspects. It never feels like it gets tiring and has enough variety to give each song. In short, it's awesome. 97/100
I don't think I can thing of many albums more legendary than this one, so I was incredibly hyped to listen to it for first time! Thankfully, it more than lived up to the hype. A lot of the album just sounds plain good. Like there is a lot of sounds that I just like. Every guitar tone just sounds great. Mr. Buckley is also famously a fantastic singer. The Whole thing is just super pleasing to the ears and it's great. 100/100
The Stones! Sadly I wasn't feeling this one too much. A lot of the songs are good but the ones that aren't are pretty boring and not my favorite. 68/10
Ah, a classic! London Calling is arguable the greatest punk album ever. One thing I've always appreciated is the length. Most punk album are pretty short. This one is willing to take around an hour which is fun. It's great 97/100
was ok 80/100
you know what, it was fun. I had fun with it. 70/100
I like Neil young 98/100
Lets go Janet Jackson! I've seen people argue that she's the Better Jackson than Michael, and While i don't agree atm, she seems awesome and album is sick! New Jack Swing is pretty cool and this is the best I've heard of it. There's just so many great songs here It's amazing! 94/100
I mean it definitely changed the game, but it feels outdated nowadays. 56/100
Fun but it slightly overstays it's welcome 70/100
