If this was slimmed down to it’s 12 to 15 best songs it would probably score four or five stars. Too much stuff in it that is just there for the sake of it.

5-Star Albums (12)

I started listening to the lowest rated album on this whole project with some trepidation. Now, don't get me wrong, this isn't good. But... it wasn't boring, and it didn't outstay its welcome so It avoids a 1 star rating from me.

An album about as substantial as the band’s name. May have been a good soundtrack, but boring as heck as a standalone musical experience.
Some nice 60s psychedelia. I’ve heard of the band before but couldn’t name a song, but suspected that I’d recognise something from this album. Turns out I was right.
Some legendary songs on this, but perhaps Michael Stipe’s maudlin angstiness hasn’t aged all that well.
I love my blues rock as much as the next guy, but I think my will to live vanished when I saw the last track clocked into at over 20 minutes. I know this is an iconic band, but I was frankly bored listening to this.
Boring.
This album is like a Led Zeppelin outro extended to fill a full album. Bloated and unfocused. There’s an occasional glimmer. of an interesting idea, but they inevitably meander into more pointless noodling.
Atonal garbage.

Her voice is immaculate and and musicians are incredible, but you can have too much of a good thing.
There are some classic Beatles numbers on this, but some of the filler just doesn’t hit, so I can’t give this the full 5/5.
No notes. Just an awesome album.
Just fine. Inoffensive. Not so inoffensive to be offensively inoffensive.
Like Coldplay, but less shit.

Jingle jangle goodness.
