I always forget how good this album is when I listen to it, and I always wonder why it takes me so long to go back to it. I've only listened to this album all the way through like 3 times, and it's a banger.
I wasn't really interested in listening to this album, and it was a pleasant surprise. Very catchy and hooky pop rock and a solid album all the way through. I don't know if I'll regularly seek it out, but an enjoyable listen.
It's a nice album, very interesting singing style Nina has. Definitely not my style, and I don't see myself ever listening to this album again, but it was well done and soulful.
I mean... I don't need this album recommended to me :) I've listened to this thing 5 billion times already. I know it's a five star album.
This one was yet another pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting much from this one or for it to be for me, and was surprised by how much I liked it. A very wacky, very fun listen.
Not my bag. Maybe it's just not what I'm looking for right now in my life, it was just a bit too hokey-folky for me right now.
Yeah, I’ve tried and tired and Gorillaz just aren’t for me. A couple decent songs though, liked it more than I thought I would. 3.5 stars.
Listened to this a few times already, a 5 star album for sure. Aside from that one darn filler tracker, Mother, it's a perfect album.
Another one I had never listened to before and a very pleasant surprise. Never had really listened to Elton John and was surprised he could rock this much. Excellent classic rock album!
Kind of disappointed in this recommendation, honestly. I haven't heard much REM outside of their singles and have always been somewhat interested in doing a deep-dive into them, and even I know this album isn't considered anywhere near their best releases. And after listening to it, it's pretty bland. Maybe I won't like the rest of their albums either but this was pretty ehh.
Another great choice, and an album I'd been meaning to get to, since I've always liked Ice Cube and West Coast gangsta rap, despite never really hearing much of his solo albums. I want to check out some of the albums right after this one, as I think they get more of the harder edge and less of the late 80's/beginning 90's slight cheesiness to hip hop.
Another one I hadn't check out before, heard of the band, and I'm glad I did. Very nice listen. I think I really like the beginning more and then it seemed to blend together a bit in a droney way but it might be one I have to go back and listen to more, which I definitely will.
Another very pleasant surprise that I'm happy I gave a go. I always wanted to explore Elliott Smith's music more and I'm glad this was the one, great album!
I've listened to a bunch of Neil Young and never heard this album. Kinda surprised this one's in here rather than Harvest or one of his all-timers. But then again, at least it got me to check it out, because it's real solid. Not his best, and there's no real classic track on here, but it's a solid all-the-way-through album, which I like. Vampire Blues was kinda lousy though.
Not bad album, glad I heard it. Almost like a sound of the poppier side of The Clash meets jazz/big band style. I don't know if I'll be going back to it a ton but an entertaining listen.
Did NOT expect this one! Pretty impressed that this list is covering everything. A little cheese in the recipe but I get why this one is influential.
Not a bad album, glad I listened to this one. I might actually like this one more than Pet Sounds, which I've never really loved all the way through.
Very familiar with this album and listened to it a bunch, happy to dive into it again. I'd probably go with 3.5 stars for this album. I think this album is best as background noise when you're doing something like working, or probably dancing at a party or something. It's good stuff, but a lot of the songs are kind of long without much reason as they get a little repetitive since there's not too much changing up in the song. But still, good album!
Glad to get this one! Love Nick Drake, but only listened to his Pink Moon album and have meant to get to this one. I think I still like Pink Moon more than this but I'll definitely want to go back to this one more to see how I feel about it over time.
Glad I heard a little something new and different. Was actually a little more jammy than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. I'm just not really a "soul" man, so I don't see myself returning to this album.
Umm. Not bad. Glad I heard it, I like his vocal style, sounds a bit like a more easy listening Radiohead. But all the songs seem a bit samey here with not much standing out. Also seems like this isn't his notably best album, so this is another one why I'm not sure this is the one featured on this generator?
An absolute classic and a banger from top to bottom. Easy 5 star album.
Not usually my go-to listening style, but a very solid pop album. I can see why she hit so strongly when she first started making it around.
Ehh. I've never listened to much ska and albums like this are making me realize it's probably just not my thing. Good vibes in the music and it's certainly not bad but I don't think I'll be regularly returning to this one. 3.5 stars.
Ummm. Decent music here, I like the chill western/cowboy vibe but this dude cannot sing at all. Really takes the songs down a peg. Maybe it's something you'd get used to over time but for the first listen the singing is really not hitting well.
Really back and forth between a 3 and a 4 for this one. It had its moments and I liked how it ended but a lot of the songs in the bulk of the album felt pretty drifty without much variety. I think this one could grow on me though.
Know this album VERY well, listened to it a billion times. Definitely still fun, but it's filled with a lot of dated pop culture references to stuff that isn't relevant anymore which kind of dates it a little. Still a fun listen years later though, 4.5 stars.
Not bad at all. Solid blues, which is what I expected.
Well this one was a pleasant surprise. This album's awesome! Only listened to a bit of White Stripes before and definitely not his solo work and discovered an excellent album here.
Okay, this one I think was just a straight-up miss for me. And it wasn't even like it wasn't potentially my thing or my style or whatever, I thought the sound had potential I just didn't like what they were doing with the songs. Didn't enjoy this one.
Haha this one took me by surprise. Was not exactly looking forward to this one but it turned into a very pleasant listen.
Ahh, jazz. Fun listen as good jazz often can be. What often ALSO can be with jazz, is a lot of it comes off as noodley and wanky, which this kind of gets at times. Not a big emphasis on hooks or refrains or anything. But that's jazz. I also say that as someone who doesn't listen to a ton of jazz, and probably like "mainstream" jazz, whatever that is.
I just don't think I'm in the place to enjoy this right now. This might be a "me" thing. Couldn't really make it through it.
Banger of an album. Pretty sure I've heard this album before, but good to get into it again, since pretty much all ZZ Top's hits are on this one. A little front loaded, since all the big songs are in the first half, but the second half songs certainly aren't filler. Great stuff.
It was a good listen. Surprisingly I wasn't as over the moon with it as I was expecting, considering this is considered one of the sacred texts for classic rocks albums.
Eh. I always had a feeling this album wouldn't be for me despite its acclaim and this listen confirms it. I know how celebrated this album is, I remember it being huge back in the day. I'm just really not into the more r&b influenced side of hip-hop.
