1001 Albums Summary

I don't know why I didn't listen to this before. So many good grooves.

Harder than I thought it would be, but also more like Train than I thought it would be. Hallelujah is still great, every other song sucks for a unique reason.

Wow so much Flava Flav! Pretty good shit though. High energy!

The hits are pretty good, the rest is kind of repetitive. Great musicians, though.

It's fine for background music, very consistent, no goofy shit. I was really happy when the hidden track hit.

It is awful, but there is a certain baggy, cargo-shorted charm about Fred and the gang not seen in their sterner contemporaries (looking at you Messrs Manson and Davis). So, one star, but without prejudice or hate.

These beats are pretty great, especially funky horns. But I don't really vibe with the old school rapper lyrics.

A lot more traditional 60s pop than I expected. The seeds are there, but they really don't have their voice yet.

My god this is so cheesy. The song about heaven being a bar and the one about money are especially egregious. I couldn't wait for it to end.

I contain multitudes. I can recognize this is a cool album while also praying for it to end every second I'm listening. Two stars.
