This is a weird one for me as this reminds me of other artist I like more. Like to me it sits weirdly between bands with more edge, like the The Clash, and more weirder bands, like Talking Heads. I do enjoy the lyrics, and the song writing is solid, standout track for me was Goon Squad.

Not a lot of musical variation, but what an absolute vibe of an album! I think this is the perfect album for a romantic dinner, etc.

As a millennial who is a big metal fan, I honestly haven't given Metallica much time, as the songs I have heard haven't done much for me. I always thought the no bass thing was just a joke, but darn if it's not! James Hetfield's singing is excellent, and the rhythm guitar playing is some of the best, but overall, the album is just kinda flat and one-dimensional.

First time I have listened to this artist, and my goodness, it is fantastic! Stunning songwriting, immaculate melodies, and a very high-quality, yet somewhat comfy production. It feels exactly what a modern folk album should be, with a vast amalgam of influences and modern sensibilities. You do kinda listen to it with some high-quality headphones or speakers, as it is very nuanced, and I am not certain it would translate to a phone speaker or a TV.

This was my first time listening to this album, and in some weird way, I almost think of this as punk rather than what it is. I very much enjoyed this, but I can see it not being to everyone's taste. It has such a wide range of musical styles and self-references to other genres that it honestly feels like a lover's letter to the music that influenced them.

The first song is kinda lame, but once it gets started, it is excellent. I get the negative reviews, as the album doesn't really shine until it's played loud with a system that can handle deep low bass. Most of the musical counterpoint is down very low and relatively clean, so if you cannot properly project those frequencies and it is not loud enough for contrast, it just kinda sounds like bad Muzak.

If 70s brown was a sound, It would be this.

I am certain that if I were into this type of music, it would be a 5-star. The Lyrics, melodies, and instrumentation were all excellent, but it just doesn't hit me.

The whole album just sounds the same, and the sounds quite close to a few bands I like, so all it does is want me to listen to them.

I am a punk fan, but this whole album feels like i am 15 and this deep.

I was not looking forward to this one, never been a huge fan. It was better than I was expecting, but all of the albums just sounds the same to me.

I have loved this album since I was a moody teenager, so I cannot take out my bias with this one. The songwriting and guitar work is absolutely stunning, and I think the album is very well paced. That being said, Morrissey is still an asshat.

I feel like this would be an amazing album if it just had some more work done to make it more concise, the bones are spectacular, but it just feels like everything goes on for far to long.

This is an experimental almost to a fault, I really enjoyed it, but I could see why it is so divisive. It really sounds to me like it was just a bunch of people having a bloody good time making weird music.

It really is amazing that I have never heard of this band, I can hear there influence or so many artists I am a huge fan of. If you are into varied textures and non standard song structures this one might be for you!

What a surprise this was, I really only knew of any Santana from the 2010's collaborations and thought that was it, how wrong I was, this album was amazing from start to finish!

This was a lot better that I expected, but still pretty repetitive after a few song. The highlights for me is the great mandolin playing, and the match diction.

Solidly below average, just like Morrissey without the other members of The Smiths

This was a real surprise, I don’t know why, but I assumed it to be cheesy 60s and was surprised by the amazing singing and almost proto punk or garage vibes!

At first I found out his album very boring and repetitive, but then it just clicked. It was interesting to hear how many future bands they influenced.

What a huge surprise this album was. I came in honestly thinking it would be very average, but it was great songs from front To back.

This is not my usually style, but this is bloody close to a perfect album!

I get them confused with The Black Keys, and I am always disappointed when it is not the real The Black Keys.

The whole album is a wild ride on genres, but I am bloody glad to be on it!

I gave it an extra point because the production is excellent, and the musicians played amazing, but god what a bloody boring album!

This should be something I love, a little new wave, a little jazz influenced, great performances, and amazing production. But it just comes out like Muzak. It only gets two stars as there is nothing wrong with the album, it is just boring.

I’m not usually one for country music, but my goodness, this is as close to a 5 star country album as possible for me. Solid 4.75 stars!

What an absolute fun album, the title sums the album up perfectly!

As a bit of a metal guy, I am pretty used to not understanding the lyrics, but I feel that with this, I am really missing out. That being said, it still was an enjoyable listen.

I cannot explain why I am not a fan of this one, the songwriting and production are great, it has some great motifs, but overall it feels so beige.

It’s is beautifully chaotic, noisy, has a hardcore edge, and is an utter joy to listen to.

10/10 songs, but as an album, it is just too long.

This was a surprise to me, as someone who is into some heavier genres, I can hear the influence this has had on a lot of things I love, and the hits are exactly that.

As someone who loves post hardcore I am really surprised I have never heard of this album before. I can clearly hear where they have come from, and where the genre has been taken, all while sounding like themselves. I get why this is divisive, it’s odd, kinda unsettling, and incredibly pretentious, but I absolutely love it!

Really a 4.5/5, but adding an extra bit to counter all the weird xenophobia.

This is some amazing song in this album, but as a whole, it’s just too long. If it was edited down, I could easily see this as a 5/5.

Never would I have thought that I would rate a bloody u2 album 4/5. This list reveals parts of yourself that you may not be ready for.

What’s weird album, there is nothing wrong with it, the production is great, there is some great guitar lines and drumming. But as a whole, it is just so boring!

This album has great production, but is so boring it is pretty much just Muzak. Only reason it is not a one is that is ok to listen to.

If this was edited down to 10 or so songs it would be an instant 5/5, but it’s just so long.
