Nice jams, the hits and Janis' voice are great to be reminded of. Turtle Blues is one I'll add to the playlist, whole album worth another listen soon. Repetitious vocals at times annoyed my wife during dinner (stir fry).
I like Neil Young, and this album was a pleasant experience from the start. Loved the 60's sci-fi story in After the Gold Rush, silver spaceships. Only Love was a soothing slide into the force of nature that is Southern Man, raw and unapologetic. Highly recommend Neil Young and Crazy Horse Live at Fillmore East, Down by the River and Cowgirl in the Sand specifically, if you have a half hour to lose yourself in this kind of Neil.
Liked Don't Let it Bring You Down, and loved When You Dance, made me think of my daughter. I Believe in You swelled into a rich full sound and transition into Cripple Creek felt great.
Had a good time with this one, will listen again soon.

Didn't know what to expect really, but was surprised the journey this one took me on. Three Babies was moving, Emperor's Clothes and Jump in the River interesting. Nothing Compares I feel like I never hear the original. That Night Nurse is now the definitive for me, so cool.

Really liked it, the whole way through. Planet Caravan, Hand of Doom, Electric Funeral - all the songs that weren't big singles I liked a lot, rhythm of bass and drums was dominant across the album. Love the cover art as well.
After the opening classic ran a little slow for me surprisingly, up until the amazing Superstition. Second half I liked better and closed strong with I Believe
Tame waiting room reggae - meh. If you want a suggestion, try 10 Ft Ganja Plant for some contrast. I listened to them instead and had a blast

This album is an achievement for sure, really full sound that at times was like a Wall-of-Soundified R.E.M. Really liked Boys Better and Every Day Should be a Holiday, Good Morning. But at the same time, made 1hr feel like much longer and dragged late despite the rich production value. Very interesting album missing something for me.
Buffalo Stance is such a banger, album overall gives me a nostalgic feeling, like she could rap on Captain Planet or Darkwing Duck or something and be awesome
Amazing album, huge Pixies fan now. They clearly influenced either directly or indirectly a ton of bands and music that I loved in the 90s/00s growing up. And not only that but these songs are GREAT examples of the style. Love Wave of Mutilation, I Bleed, Debaser, really all the tracks are good, short and sweet bites of goodness, No 13 Baby, Hey, etc.
Really good stones album, the huge single stand outs that bookend of course but Let it Bleed and Love in Vain are favorites of mine

Freewheelin folk from Bob - I still like the last Dylan album a lot more than this, but this was ok. I think it is really hard to appreciate Dylan for me especially with a small child. He just drones lines. Harmonica parts were good
Strange experience, but now I know what Tom Waits is at least at this point in his career. Some funny discourse on this album, and there is a Ruby song, but overall not the best. Jersey Girl is fun as the hit single, just belting it out

Pretty solid classic rock. Loved the opening track Waitin, 5 stars on that one, the rest 3 and 4.
I actually liked the first two tracks well enough, it was trending toward an enjoyable but forgettable 3 stars but it just dragged on at some point. I could see how many would have seen this as an incredible album at the time, just being exposed to different things that were big elsewhere - but to me many tracks felt so bland.
Liked Yo Mama, and Passin Me By is an all time classic. Oh Sh*t and On the DL were fun in the same way, a lot of fun rap circle lyricism on this album, and some really amazing beats that stand the test of time
Maybe my favorite Eminem album, there are some other greater ones in many respects. My mind goes here first though I think, so many listens while commuting for like a 2-3 year period. Awesome to re-listen and get a taste of that time while cleaning the gutters.

Incredible album, so smooth and clean. Sultans has always been great but I loved even the least-played tracks on this one, really enjoyed it.
Pretty interesting although the covers were hit and miss, the stones one I didn't like so much and the doors I was into - but that's covers for you. The rest I liked and liked the finale Raghupati a lot. Kind of an iffy unsure 4 here.
This was very cool background music to the morning but since I'm not a jazz guy everything kind of bled together at some point and then it ended. Was great though and probably deserves a more serious listen
Enjoyed the album, but not much really stuck with me. 2 songs in particular did strike me to the next day: Desire Lines, and the final He Would Have Laughed
Pretty cool album and definitely one that's got to be on the list for "history of notable music happenings" reasons. The songs are good but the environment and effortless charm of Johnny are what cement this one
I really liked the start with Victoria, yes sir no sir was ok, then kind of meandered between not jumping out to me and some gems. Brainwashed and Shangri-La were good in different ways, Princess Marina and Mr Shoemaker's Daughter gave that wacky rock vibe that is fun for me, but at other times just didn't land.

Really liked I Might Be Wrong, Knives Out, Dollars and Cents, and the jazz departure of Life In a Glass House. A very broody, yearning/lamenting kind of emotion behind everything here, has a rainy day feel but it was sunny out, maybe that hurt the rating here
Amazing classic of the curated rock-opera Floyd era, and Waters in full force writing. Always loved this one great to go through again. Manages to capture so many feelings while having a direct story/message at the same time. True masterpiece

This one was hard for me to get into but there was a haunting theme throughout, and I will say I gained some appreciation for Bowie on this listen: he was definitely an artist. Specifically Lazarus and I Can't Give Everything Away were great. I have a feeling this is a 5 star album for a certain time of life, and I haven't lived enough yet. But a 3 is like a 5 for me on Bowie scale
Interesting collection/project/dedication album, I guess California Stars was supposed to be the big one here but just ok for me. I liked Walt Whitman's Niece and Way Over Yonder. There were some silly and some duds.
A fun room with Queen where they took off with their sound I gather - Killer Queen is really good of course, I liked In the Lap of the Gods both versions, and Flick of the Wrist, and Leroy Brown, and Stormtrooper in Stilettos
80's English rock with a bit of attitude, overall not really my cup o tea, mate. All of This and Nothing at the end was ok, Dumb Waiters was really fun and my favorite, cool use of horns. Also, "I'm into you like a train" as a line sticks with me and I find it very funny for some reason
So commenters said Ozzy was a huge fan of this album interestingly. As for me, it is not really my kind of music, and peter gabriel tends to blend all together for me. The little flute part on Sledgehammer into the final part was cool. I'm Your Eyes was the only one I had heard much before from radio, and it isn't even one that I'm that close to. Peter Gabriel music has a beautiful quality to it and it's not bad, but I still struggle with it.
Super fun funky album, Le Freak the super hit but liked every song, I Want Your Love also really great
Kerosene was the standout to me, and many others it seems. Very cool, hard almost like a electro-punk sound at times, I am glad to have heard, and will be coming back to a couple songs at the least.
This one is pretty grating not gonna lie. There is so much more in 'American Rap' as this album is classified. I get that it's probably included because it is innovative or has a distinct sound. Lyrics a mix of whiny/horny to me that was off-putting and kind of forced, and the sound somewhat forgettable to boot
This is an interesting one, a little dated was my first impression, but as the album went I thought more of it as a good representation of a time period, and the beats were growing on me. Specifically Louder Than A Bomb, Night of the Living Baseheads, Caught - Can We Get A Witness?, and Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos
Pretty big flex to make an album this good, and name it Bad. Just wall to wall hits, maybe better than thriller

Liked this one a ton, lot of great tracks and beats, wordplay, already liked Fugees but gained some more appreciation with this listen. Fu-Gee-La in all versions is fun, Ready Or Not is insane, that was '96. Fugees stand out as unique for sure
Definitely a unique experience I wasn't expecting, but pretty good overall as well - kind of reminds me of some stuff I listened to a lot except the subject matter is much more worldly and significant than petty personal relationship drama. Probably not coming back to most of this though
Cool punk/goth punk - started really cool, liked Into the Light, Halloween, Monitor, Night Shift - then took a shift with the Yorkshire ripper song, a severed head song, and voodoo dolly - overall very distinct and interesting vibe
This one was better than the last PE album, there are some great hits but Chuck D was very much in form here. You can feel a real energy and momentum behind the album.
Greetings to the New Brunette had me thinking this guy was secretly writing really good, funny, layered lyrics - but then I felt like I only got that a few more times over the course of the album, though it was ok. Voice hit me a little grating a here and there, and found myself rolling my eyes quite a bit
Most of what I knew about Radiohead going into this list was that someone I disliked in highschool was obsessed with them so I veered away and never really tried it. I kind of like them though, but it varies track to track quite a bit. There is a vague annoying quality but I can see that possibly fading with repeated listens. It's weird I like it but don't desire to go back to it. Bodysnatchers was good. All I Need was cool. Reckoner was cool. Much like the last one, probably a great album for a certain mood. Beautiful moments throughout, slow builds
Super cool new orleans psycho trip-hop blues or something. So weird but I loved it, not constantly, but there's something to be said for a vision coming together in less than 40 min so clearly
Another super cool album - Meat Loaf is awesome and Paradise by the Dashboard Light by itself would earn a lot of filler a 5 star - but this album has a ton to love. I liked the ending with For Crying Out Loud as well
I'll always think of Weird Al when I hear LAST NIGHT (wudja do?) - his polka has ruined so much - but honestly reviewing The Strokes, the album is fun, peppy and still a depressing enough tone to be cool. A little one note I might nitpick. I liked When It Started, Someday is the classic go-to I feel like, Barely Legal and Alone, Together were good, Take or Leave it to close was solid

Really solid album, and always found Lou Reed to be an interesting voice, interesting writing. Creates an atmosphere that is very much his own, there's a sense of detachment that adds to the cool, but also an energy/humor to everything that draws me in. Always thought Velvet Underground was cool but never listened to this album
Awesome instrumental pieces are what put this on the list I have to think. I thought they were cinematic and epic to the point that they were almost produced for film score. Pepita was where I perked up, and surprise it is instrumental, then Close Behind, Attack El Robot! and Dub Latina all great. Guero Canelo as well. Crumble again so cool, totally unexpected.

It really delivered on its promise of being Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs. Ultimately that is how we remember it, an album unapologetically propping itself up on one song. Good song though

Wow some really great stuff here - This is the Day was awesome, but HOT DAMN that Uncertain Smile delivered on a jaw dropping display on the keyboard - something I thought we would get more of in this list in general. The Twilight Hour also very cool, Soul Mining had some fun parts - I can see the list maker choosing this as it's like Bowie but better in my opinion. The lyrics hit more directly, the music very interesting, good stuff.
Really like Fogerty's voice and Proud Mary is an all-timer - fun and concise album. Really liked Graveyard Train and Keep On Chooglin'
Loved it - the opening side mega song was great for working and actually seemed to slide on by, loved Twilight Zone and Lessons as well. I should really listen to more Rush, such a fun vibe

Amazing album, really need to add this group to the rotation. This album at the least was great start to finish, loved just about every song. Really cool mix, production and vocals great. Somehow very beautiful and elegant with a lot of raw energy and heavy when they wanted to be. Gave metal vibes in a great way. So cool.
