1001 Albums Summary

There were some good tracks on there but there were also some experimental ones that I wasn’t ready for

Great fun to listen to. A couple of crazy bits which repeated too much and would drive you crazy but overall definitely one of comeback to

Some good songs on here but a lot of weird choices and terrible songs

Fantastic album, this one is a keeper

Great fun, very Tarantino esque

Didn’t make it all the way though. Enjoyed the hits but the album tracks didnt hold my interest

Fine pop album just not something I want to listen to

Not for me but not bad

Great album, very easy listening

Standard white stripes stuff

Not one I'll go back to in a hurry but I enjoyed it

Standard Hendrix stuff. Loses a star for the opening track

Didn't love it but it was ok

Started out good but got pretty forgettable by the end

Brilliant album, going into the library

Better than I remembered, a bit too jangly for my tastes

Pretty standard Beatles stuffs gets a higher star for that but I can’t say I was massively excited to keep listening

Cracking opener and good songs following it

Not for me but a good example of the genre

Great album, takes me back

Good hits, mediocre rest of the album

Meh

Excellent album and my first full listen through

Top album!!

My first Maiden album and it was great!

Loved this at the time. It’s just a load of nothing now. Singles are still good though

Really interesting album and a new find

Absolute dull pish

Great album

Too 80’s for me

Pleasant album but in not sure I’ll go back to it

All very samey

Lovely album, I’ll come back to it but only in specific times

Ok, interesting but I didn’t love it

Pish. Absolute pish.

Loved it! Something really different that I’d never have found myself. I didn’t think I’d like it at first but I had a great time listening

Really enjoyed this. Will come back to it again

I can’t tell if this is hilarious or twee self indulgent bollocks

Good album just not something I want to hear a lot of

It was fine, just not for me. Couple of great hits on there though

Enjoyed it more 20 years ago but I might have been pretending then

Absolute pish

Some good tunes on here, couple of stinkers. I would’ve loved this at 17/18

Loved this, very relaxing album

Only listened to a bit, quite enjoyed what I heard. Potential for 4 stars but I didn’t hear it all

Fun album but probably not listen again

Bit of a mixed bag, I almost liked it but it got a bit irritating in parts

Very chilled album, won’t get played a lot but I enjoyed it

Quite good, like Neil Young

Not for me, couldn’t get past the first few songs

Good album, a little bit samey at times but great for the right kind of setting

Pish! How do these albums keep making the list?!?!

Great album

Very much of it’s time and a very distinctive sound

Bit too poppy for me

Cracker album

Not bad but I couldn’t finish it

Probably the best stones album so far

Loved this. Very chilled album

Just noise but not bad for what it was

It was ok my I much prefer their later stuff

Middling 90’s album. Didn’t get through it

Fun pop rock but I didn’t finish it

Awful noise

Great tunes but a bit oppressive

Quite fun up tempo music

Probably 3.5. I liked it but likely won’t return to it

Absolute pish

Pretty good but made me want to listen to Neil Young more

Watery pish

Cracker! Never listened all the way through before

Solid conga album

Not bad but not for me

Bit of an odd one. Sounds a bit like really early PF and finishes sounding like the Doors. Might return to it but I don’t love it. Probably 3.5

Ok background music

Not as good as pink moon by a long shot. It’s too over produced

Not bad, some good tracks but it’s definitely not rock music by anyone’s standards

Not for me but not a badly produced album

Standard Byrds stuff, nothing I knew. Nothing amazing but nice enough

Pish

Easy listening, not as good as rumours

Not the best Radiohead album but decent. Might get bettwrbeith more listens

4 stars for psycho killer. The rest is fun but not up to par. Might improve with further listens

Good but a bit too heavy for Jet lag

Not bad, well produced but just not what I wanted to listen to

Not a bad album, just not for me at all

Not for me but not bad

Actually not bad

Some high nostalgia here which boosts the score but it’s not as good as I remebered

Pish

Not bad but not for me

Not bad but not for me

Great title track, probably would have loved this in my teens

Not for me at all

Much better than I expected but it’s still Van Morrison

I wanted to hate it but actually it was quite good

Some crackers but some very samey music. Probably 3.5 stars

Not as good as everyone says

Not bad and it could grow on me with more time

Good but not amazing

80’s pish

Pish

Pretty generic 60’s jangle with a couple of fun tracks but not enough to raise it higher

Apart from the opening track, this was pretty good

Not as bad as I was expecting out not great
