Popular Reviews

Rage Against The Machine by Rage Against The Machine

Don’t get the hype. Boohoo, life’s hard, get on with it.

Garbage by Garbage

Reminds me of a group of posh kids that’s went to Eton college together, but still think the world is against them because they discovered Nirvana shirts, so created this monstrosity.

Well I was checking out the lowest rated albums just yesterday and saw this. Now I’ve pulled it today unfortunately. Gone in with an open mind as always, but not getting it. Maybe I’m just not edgy or artsy enough to understand.

The Score by Fugees
Jul 03 2026

You know it wasn’t bad, not usually my style but actually kind of enjoyed it

Blur by Blur
Jul 04 2026

Wasn’t a fan then, still not now. Don’t get it. Very hard listen

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
Jul 06 2026

Yeah not bad. Don’t do drugs kids

Jul 07 2026

Still something about this band that doesn’t click with me. Oh look at me I’m classicaly trained but I make ‘rock’ music now. Ohhh I’m so edgy. Yawn

Homework by Daft Punk
Jul 08 2026

I listened in the gym so it wasn’t too bad, probably wouldn’t actively listen to it again anywhere else though.

Private Dancer by Tina Turner
Jul 10 2026

Yeah love Tina. No nonsense powerful vocals

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Jul 11 2026

As a drummer, very enjoyable, however can’t help but think it would’ve been better as a studio recording

Sincere by Mj Cole
Jul 12 2026

Alright if you’re a chav I guess but otherwise absolutely brain numbing

Superunknown by Soundgarden
Jul 14 2026

Ah it’s alright, just found it quite boring really. It’s the kind of music that the weirdo in year 7 was into, that later turned out to be a nonce

Jul 15 2026

Was ok for background music, not sure why everyone is such a critic here

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Jul 18 2026

Was ok. Get the impression Jeff liked the smell of his own farts only a few songs in. Chill out with the ad libs mate!

Foxbase Alpha by Saint Etienne
Jul 20 2026

Started off ok then got aggressively more stonery as it went on, which isn’t my energy.

Rage Against The Machine by Rage Against The Machine
Jul 21 2026

Don’t get the hype. Boohoo, life’s hard, get on with it.

I Am a Bird Now by Antony and the Johnsons
Jul 22 2026

Not bad. Voice for a little annoying after a while

Phrenology by The Roots
Jul 23 2026

Good fun squire. Enjoyed it with a glass of red and a cup of tea

Destroyer by KISS
Jul 24 2026

Never gave Smooch the time of day. Now I know why.

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Jul 25 2026

I remember watching iron maiden at download 2007 as my mates wanted to go see them. It was my first ‘big boy band’. I found it extremely boring and underwhelming. Was hoping almost 20 years later things would’ve changed, but no, still boring and very repetitive. Good drums though.

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Jul 26 2026

Enjoyed this. Always saw the name floating around, but never gave them the time of day. Will listen again

Garbage by Garbage
Jul 27 2026

Reminds me of a group of posh kids that’s went to Eton college together, but still think the world is against them because they discovered Nirvana shirts, so created this monstrosity.

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Jul 28 2026

Always enjoyed this album. Still do. Nice one Amy!

Heaux Tales by Jazmine Sullivan
Jul 29 2026

I’m beginning to lose faith in this list and I’m only 28 albums in. What even was this?

Jul 31 2026

Like the music, get the feeling Tommo likes the smell of his own farts though. First 15 minutes were ok, then his voice started to remind of the creepy uncle with a slight drink issue and incestual tendencies.

Station To Station by David Bowie
Aug 01 2026

I mean if drugs produce this, kids get stuck in! Not my favourite Dave album, but still enjoy it.

Your Arsenal by Morrissey
Aug 02 2026

Didn’t want to like this and I still don’t really. After living in Manchester I kind of got sick of Mancunians noshing this man off every 5 minutes and never gave him the time of day. I can see why NQ / Hackney / Bristol people would like it though.

Will The Circle Be Unbroken by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Aug 03 2026

Not bad. 130 minutes of it is a bit intense though. Had to split it throughout the day, found by the end of the day it wasn’t meant to be for me. Can appreciate the musicianship though.

Endtroducing..... by DJ Shadow
Aug 04 2026

Enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Relaxing and hypnotic in a way. An amalgamation of sound closing off the millennium. Enjoyed it. Yeah.

Aug 05 2026

Not really my energy. Glorifying gang culture is a bit shit innit bruv.

Band On The Run by Paul McCartney and Wings
Aug 06 2026

Enjoyed this daddy Paul!

Well I was checking out the lowest rated albums just yesterday and saw this. Now I’ve pulled it today unfortunately. Gone in with an open mind as always, but not getting it. Maybe I’m just not edgy or artsy enough to understand.

Disraeli Gears by Cream
Aug 08 2026

Liked this album way back when I listened to it. Sunshine of your love still grates on me though, no idea why.

Electric Prunes by The Electric Prunes
Aug 10 2026

I didn’t mind it. Not sure what the all the hate from the ‘pro’ internet critics is about.

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Aug 13 2026

Good fun

Gris Gris by Dr. John
Aug 14 2026

Feels as though Jonno likes the smell of his farts like that Tom Waits guy. Not really that enjoyable

Aug 16 2026

Great album for a Saturday this. Good energy. Little repetitive if you’re sitting and listening, if on the move, perfect.

Fishscale by Ghostface Killah
Aug 17 2026

Ah another rap album. I wonder what this one will rap about…definitely not bad rap, but glorifying gang culture and misogyny just doesn’t age well.

Aug 18 2026

I really like this era of Coldplay. Classic to me, especially the clocks riff. All these ‘edgy cool kids’ just hating to hate.

Deloused in the Comatorium by The Mars Volta
Aug 19 2026

As a drummer, impressive performance. Otherwise, reminds me of an indie Periphery. Forgettable songs with a whiney vocal. Songs dragged.

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
Aug 20 2026

Favourite album by Fleet! Happy to see this album after a few dull moments on this journey :) Love the demo energy to it.

Aug 21 2026

Bit weird this is an album to listen to before I die. Nice to chill to as background, but otherwise nothing groundbreaking.

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Aug 22 2026

First time I heard of him was last year when they put him on a headline slot for Glasto. Everyone was saying who is this guy, why is he playing the headline slot, blah blah blah. I thought no I’ll give him a chance. That was quickly confirmed when I watched him for 5 minutes, so boring. Never seen such a small crowd for a headline slot. Straight to Charlie xcx to prevent myself from committing suicide, which is saying something.

Machine Head by Deep Purple
Aug 23 2026

Takes me back to 2004/5 PMT days where every guitarist learnt that dreaded part. Good solid Dad rock album though this.

Microshift by Hookworms
Aug 24 2026

I mean it’s alright. Again as is the case with this journey. Why is it actually on here? Also reminds of a little of artic monkeys. I don’t like them.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Aug 25 2026

Listened before. Managed to see him live a few years ago at Glasto, which was my first experience. Enjoyed it!

Aug 26 2026

Spoken word automatically sends my head into loving the smell of your own farts territory, however the music is really noice. Again, an album to listen to before I die? Really? Oh f*ck this last song is 10 f*cking minutes!

Throwing Muses by Throwing Muses
Aug 28 2026

Usually rate these albums on a would I listen again basis. Probably wouldn’t with this, although it’s not bad. Gets another star for the use of cowbell though.

Back At The Chicken Shack by Jimmy Smith
Aug 29 2026

Yeah I like this. Reminds of a game I played when I was younger called Bad company. Great stuff. Better as background music I reckon personally.

Aug 30 2026

Honestly the most overrated album ever. Hated it ages ago, was dreading getting this album. Wanted to go in with an older mind, still hate it. Self indulgent, pretentious, wannabe ‘art’. The fact this is one of the top rated albums on here too blows my mind. Gives you an idea of the users on this site.

Rust Never Sleeps by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Aug 31 2026

Oh great. Another bore fest! Let’s hope this is better than the other one. Yea, it isn’t.

Power In Numbers by Jurassic 5
Sep 01 2026

I did think ah great another rap album, but actually this wasn’t too bad, especially as a drummer. Would listen again, maybe.

Deserter's Songs by Mercury Rev
Sep 02 2026

Average forgetful stuff really. Didn't mind it, didn't like it. 3 stars.

...And Justice For All by Metallica
Sep 03 2026

A lad in my school wore Metallica shirts everyday. He turned out to be a nonce.

Clandestino by Manu Chao
Sep 04 2026

Not sure why I liked this as I didn’t understand much, but I did. Took me back to dodgy backpackers like a lot of people it seems. Impressive it’s done on a laptop around the world too.

Queen II by Queen
Sep 05 2026

Not bad, more the musicians measuring their wedding vegetables than the Queen we know. Can see why the band relies heavy on its hits though, album is fine, but forgetful.

Like A Prayer by Madonna
Sep 06 2026

Growing up liking men I always felt like I had to like Madz, just never clicked with me. Feel it’s the hits or nothing with her.

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Sep 07 2026

Just not interested in this, bit of an identity crisis in the creative process I reckon, which I often find with prog. Not bad, just not good. And yes we say what we like, that flute needs to be murdered.

The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe
Sep 08 2026

Gonna go straight down the middle with this one, album was like a ramp, nice steady ascent, peaked in the middle, then declined to the end. 70 minutes was a bit too long.

Metallica by Metallica
Sep 09 2026

Oh ffs, not another one…I just picture a goatee cunt in a Land Rover defender who likes to lift occasionally because they feel emasculated by the dysfunctional family they’ve created. It’s just the most overrated shit ever isn’t it.

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Sep 12 2026

I own a Honda Jazz.
