Here's another artist that is objectively great but has ALWAYS turned me off. This album doesn't grate on me the way other 1 stars do, so it gets a 2 star rating. Please don't make me listen to another Bob Dylan album though. Please.
I don't enjoy Dylan at all, and never have. A poet, maybe, but I find his melodies uninteresting (and often near non-existent) and his nasal tone and delivery painful. Also, why is the harmonica always so high in the mix? As if his whiny vocals weren't bad enough, you then get assaulted with equally obnoxious mouth organ in almost every song. I listened to the whole thing, and hope that I never have to again.

Great stuff!! Not my favourite but really good
Peak Dylan
What an icon. I love hearing his influence in all who followed him.

Great album, added to my collection
Bob Dylan probably just isnt my thing. I might enjoy it more if I try focusing on/reading the lyrics as I listen.
Just one of the greatest.
I'm inclined to give Dylan a 5 just based on the fact that his name is on the album, and I acknowledge this bias. The thing is, nothing he does here disabuses me of the notion that he's a genius. Every track oozes with meaningful allusion and evocative imagery. I keep looking for a reasons to give a demerit, and I'm coming up empty. Best track: Mr. Tambourine Man
It grew on me quite a bit, didn't love it but it was pretty good.
Took a few listens to get into, but I’ve come to think it’s great. I really love Robert’s vocal phrasing here; actually, I think his vocal performances in general on this album are quite good. The blending of the folk and rock elements on this LP provides wonderful texture.
Dylan Magic!
Bob Dylan doing archetypal Bob Dylan. It’s a great album.
