Interesting album. Thought it was really good. I haven't listened to the Kinks a lot, but I see their appeal. I really liked Australia and Victoria.
Interesting. Not a huge fan of Blur, but it wasn't bad. I didn't hate it, but not sure there was anything that was going to make my favorites list.
Really liked this, listened several times.
Wow, not familiar with Faces. Didn't realize this was Rockin' Rod. The initial impression is great bluesy rock. Definitely some similarity to the Doors.
I like it. It will be interesting to see if all the tracks are like this.
I've never been a Tom Waits fan. This is an interesting album, but can't say I enjoyed it much.
Kinda weird, but I liked it.
Not bad, a little too vintage for my taste, but some good songs. I liked She's Got Everything.
OK, this is weird, 6 songs, but the first track is 20 minutes long. Plus, I've never heard of this, not even sure what the genre is.
This is one of my all time favorite albums. I love it.
Not really my genre, but this was pretty good.
I was kind of over Kate Bush. Running up the Hill has been overplayed and overcovered over the years, but I found this album to actually be pretty enjoyable.
Not really my genre, but Ice T is great.
Don't love Korn. This wasn't great.
Gotta love some classic Alice Cooper
Ugh, Bob Dylan is so hard for me to listen to.
Actually, I found this better than I thought and quite enjoyed it.
Never heard of this one. Seems like there are a lot of those.
Vintage Cure is always great.
I always think of David Crosby as some kind of Wilford Brimley type fat old guy. Like the quaker oats guy or something. This is really pretty good, and good to remember that he was a big deal back in the day, both solo and with Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young (or the variations thereof).
Oh, I didn't realize Crosby as in the Byrds.
Not a huge Metallica fan, but that is a good album.
I'm not a huge Beatles fan, but it's iconic for sure.
Wow, this is weird. Prog rock, lots of vintage keyboard and other weird sounds. Some of it almost symphonic. Not really my jam.
Really strange. Some cool guitar, but not really my things.
More punk than I thought, so that was kind of cool, but couldn't get behind the lyrics.
Pretty sure I'm going to like this more than I used to like Chicago.
Really cool. Some of it got a little jam bandy, but really liked the horns in the band and it being lest soft rock than the later Chicago.
A friend introduced me to the Pet Shop Boys in college, and they have been one of my favorites ever since. I'm not sure I've ever listened to this whole album by itself, but Being Boring, So Hard and Jealousy are great tracks, so I'm sure the rest will be good too.
Again, not really my jam, but hey, I'll listen.
Really interesting. The first few tracks I thought really sounded muddy and like they were recorded in a garage or something. The later tracks seemed better. Not sure I love it, but it wasn't bad overall.
Interesting albumn, not really my thing.
Whole thing isn't on spotify. I'm not sure why. I actually enjoyed what was on there more than I thought I would.
I like Leonard, but some of these are depressing and hard to listen to.
I'm not a fan of folk in general.
Weird. Reminded me of The The
Not bad for metal. I'd listen again.
Never heard of this, but it's an excellent album. Really liked it.
I'm surprised that there are two Alice Cooper albums on this list. I didn't think he was that influential, and I didn't realize this work was early 70s. I would have thought it was late 70s or early 80s.
I love EDM, so this will be great.
This was really interesting.
More electronica! Yaay!
Pretty good, but I wasn't overwhelmed.
Pretty good vintage reggae
It's not bad, but I just don't like Lucinda Williams. I can't even put my finger on it.
Meh, I like the electronica, but this didn't impress me.
It was OK, but I'm not a fan of the Dead
Ugh, just don't care for Bjork. it's interesting, but not my jam.
Interesting, great indie rock feel, but I'm not sure any of the songs really hooked me.
Interesting that almost every song on this album is prison-related and dark. It wouldn't seem like prisoners would want to be reminded of their escape, but maybe it helped him connect with them. Seemed different from the San Quentin album, darker somehow.
Honestly I'm a sucker for anything edm
I like the genre, but too grating for me. I'm not even sure why.
It was OK, none of the songs really connected with me.
I enjoyed this and I don't normally like folk.
Meh, it's not bad, but Roxy Music has never hooked me.
I like the music, but can't really stand Manson and his religious/political views.
Meh, there wasn't anything on this album that impressed me.
Very different than later Aerosmith.
Great songs on this, I'd give it 5 stars, but I've always found some of the piggy stuff distrubing.
One of my favorite bands. Love it.
I like electronic music, but this was tough to listen to.
Good early new wave, but didn't really hook me on any of their songs.
I've never been a Flaming Lips fan, but this album was pretty good.
Trip Hop is one of my favorite genres and this is a great album.
A couple great songs on here, but a bunch of cringey stuff.
He has such a great voice. I don't love every song on this album, but his guitar and voice is just so great makes it worthy of 5 stars.
I really like Fela Kuti, but this is mostly really long jam tracks with Ginger Baker hammering on the drums. I appreciate the significance, but trying to listen to it wasn't great.
This is just a really great rock and roll album. So good.
This album is amazing. Great from end to end with fantastic production quality.
I've always loved this band. This is a great album.
I'm always a Chili Peppers fan. Lots of great songs on this one, but some of it gets a little weird so only 4 stars.
I don't really love that old folk rock sound, but Peter Gabriel's voice is amazing.
Ray Charles is brilliant.
OK, good music, but I'm not that into Jazz
Johnny Marr is great, and Morrissey has a fantastic voice. I could do with out the social justice message.
One of my all time favorites
A few really great songs on here, but most of it doesn't appeal to me.
I've never really been a Bonnie Raitt fan, but this is a great album.
This was surprisingly really good. I've never been a big fan of ABBA but this a major departure from their previous work.
It's Frank's world, we just live in it.
Way too weird for me, but I've never been a Bowie fan outside of a few of his hits.
Not really a fan. Musically I could probably enjoy it, but I do not like the vocals.
I could seriously listen to Sade all day long.
I love electronic music of the early 90s. This wasn't an amazing album, but it's pretty good, and a fun listen.
Love the talking heads in general, but other than psycho killer wasn't anything that spectacular here.
The sound of this album is amazing. Lyrically I didn't really care for it that much.
Not really my favorite, but it is iconic.
I like Leonard Cohen's later stuff, but this was a little tough to listen to.
This was really interesting. I liked it.
Meh, I'm just not a big Gorillaz fan. It's kinda quirky and weird concept album, a couple good radio tracks, but other than that, I don't love it.
I'm not a huge Elvis fan, but I really enjoyed this album.
This album is iconic. I remember how big it was when it first came out.
Interesting, I never really listened to Wilco, but it was pretty good.
I love Frank, but this was just a little depressing.
I want to like this, but too ethereal.
I'm not a big folk fan, but that was really good.
This was pretty interesting. Something I hadn't heard before.
Love some vintage Talking Heads
Interesting but a little tough to listen to.
I had this CD when I was a kid and it was great then. Still great.
I like this kind of music typically, but this was a little weird. The song with the dolphins was over the topo.
I forgot how much I liked t his. It's so good.
This album is so great, not only because it's such high quality, but it's amazing to listen to his final work. One of the best albums every in our opinion.
I'm not a big Beatles fan, but that's a really good album.
I love Dinosaur Jr., and this is a great album, especially the cover of Just Like Heaven.
Papa Was a Rolling Stone is a great song.
Overall, I'm not a big Stones fan, but I have to say I do like this album quite a bit.
Sympathy for the Devil is a great classic song, but the whole album is pretty great musically, especially the guitar.
A couple good songs, but I've never been a big Pixies fan.
Better than I thought. I've never really been a Radiohead fan, but I actually enjoyed this.
I just don't love this style of Jazz. Listened to some Miles Davis recently and loved it, but Coltrane isn't my favorite.
That said, I can see why this is important to listen to.
This is one of my favorite albums of all time. The Killers had such a great sound and were so tight on this album. There's a reason the first 5 tracks on this album are not just hits, but an iconic representation of the era. It's so good.
This was hard to listen too, maybe I just wasn't in the mood.
This is better than I expected.
I'm not a huge fan of Dylan, but this was a really good album.
Interesting stuff, but I don't care for the Indian music.
I just love this triphop stuff.
Definitely one of the all time greats.
This would have my vote for best album of all time. Back in the day we listened to this a LOT. I had one friend who claimed that he wore out the CD and had to buy a new one, that's the only time I've ever heard of that happening. I'm not sure it's even possible, but he played it enough that it might have happened.
I love Janis. She was an amazing talent gone too soon.
Not really my thing, but it was pretty good.
Not really my genre, but this was classic and pretty good.
I'm not a Tom Waits fan, but it wasn't bad.
Some of this I really liked, some of it not so much.
Love the Cardigans and this album.
One of the all time best.
It was OK, but hardly one of the great albums ever.
I love downtempo trip hop, this is great.
