I don't "love" Boston. Not for any real reason but mainly just fatigue. That said, this album is pretty much banger after banger and each song elicits a special memory or lack of memory like getting black out drunk at various south bend bars and watching shitty dude-centric movies in the aughts where the director was probably like 'I dont know... lets just play more than a feeling over this scene'
While Johnnie Rotten has given up his Punk Roots and gone full MAGA (or maybe that IS punk now), I was really blown away to hear this album for the first time realizing just how much it inspired later musical acts in the 80's and 90's. While a completely different genre, it reminded me a lot of the Beastie Boys. I am very unfamiliar with Sex Pistols besides their biggest hits and enjoyed this album much more than I thought I would.
I don't have anything intelligent to say about this album. It was honestly a very enjoyable listen and one I will listen to several times when I work
I first listened to this album in 2004 when a member of the cross country team, Grant Hepler, recommended it to me. It quickly became my favorite 'sad' album and I listened to this like, 5 times straight when Lauren Dickerson (a Senior) was going to ask me to prom but some stupid ass Mormon kid asked her while I was in Florida visiting friends. She ended up banging Matt Dara who was honestly a very cool and nice senior who invited me to a lot of shit when I first moved back to NJ. Unfortunately he later developed a pretty bad opioid addiction after fucking up his back deadlifting. Good album though
I don't love TWS as much as I wish I did. This album is pretty emblematic of that
Just a pleasant listen

I have never listened to this album but have probably heard most of these songs individually many times. Fantastic collection of music
I don't think I can name a single song by this band and having listened to this album, I still think that is true. I liked it though
I don't have anything intelligent to say about this album. It was honestly a very enjoyable listen and one I will listen to several times when I work
I strongly considered giving this a one, but it was a very unique album that sounded like a weird mashup of pop, ska, and soul. I'd add 'Geno' to a playlist but otherwise I'm not interested in revisiting.
Prog rock sucks. Prog Jazz sucks just as much. (Kind of Blue whips ass but this aint it)
Not familiar with this band very much at all. The lead track was quite good and I was very surprised to see they from NYC. Solid
Wow, I really really enjoyed this album. I have never heard of this band unless they moonlighted as communists in China. The electrical guitar and bass kicked ass and reminded me a ton of Bloc Party
Not my cup of tea, but found myself tapping my pen to the rhythm on a few songs on the back half of the album.
I was originally down on this album but it grew on me and as the album played through spotify took me to some very cool punk bands with a similar sound that I enjoyed. Pretty neat.

Running out of things to say about Albums where I basically go 'this is fine'
NIN has definitely grown on me in recent years as they have created tons of music and scores for tv/movies that i really like. I don't think I have ever sat down and listened to an album by them, but I did genuinely enjoy a few songs on here, particularly the very famous last track - Hurt.
Not in love with the idea that my Spotify is now like 'Here are some fleet foxes, queen, phoebe bridgers, mroe queen, the strokes, and even more queen' but I liked this album significantly more than the previous one we listened to
I don't love albums that really demand my attention lyrically, but I did enjoy this more than the ABC - Love album we listened to earlier. Favorite track - The curse of millhaven
Nothing I love more than an 11 minute song in the middle of an album.
'Dreaming of you' was a solid track, but there was way better music that came out in 2002. Come onnnnn
Misfire was a track I never heard before that I liked. But please no more Queen.
Enjoyed this much more than I thought I would. It was really crazy listening to very early Leonard Cohen after listening to this album.
I do like the Pixies, but not this album as much as Doolittle. You can definitely hear how this album inspired Nirvana, Weezer, and tons of other alt-rockers.
I've listened to daydream nation quite a few times but never listened to this album. It whips ass
Not as good as Penguin Orchestra Cafe, but I liked it and the album cover was dope
Gotta get up slaps. Good ear worm song from the (very good) netflix show Russian Doll. Had no idea he also did 'Coconut'
Some good hard rocking on this album. I particulary enjoyed Human Cannonball. I was going to give this 3 stars until I heard 22 going on 23 and dropped it a star. What an awful song.
Listening to the first track I thought 'man I may give this a 4 or 5'. Then I listened to the rest of it.
If I came of age in the mid-90's, I definitely woulda been the type of guy who was asked "hey you listen to this new killer track by the wallflowers?" and I would have responded "ugh that shits garbage. And not the good kind of garbage like the debut album by the band of the same name". But I didn't come of age in the 90's and this album really doesn't do it for me.
I was very impressed with this album and realize how influential it was to the DJ scene in the late 90's and aughts. I used to love a lot of this type of music and it heavily influenced my pandora playlist back in 2009 or so. Midnight in a perfect world is a great track.
Very solid 3. The first track - Race for the Prize was probably my favorite. I enjoy the instrumentals and sound mix a fair bit more than lead vocals, but that said, I do genuinely love their big bits and his odd vocals are a big reason why
One of my favorite albums that helped get me through a lot of my emo highschool days. I still listen to it every so often when I am in the right mood. Fave Track - Decatur (or something something step mom)
He sounds like Bob Dylan's son except not as good.. like Bob Dylan's actual son. Album was fine
About what I expected. Some great bangers like White Rabbit and Somebody to Love, but if I had to pick another track I liked I'd go with 'Plastic Fantastic Lover'
I don't think I ever listened to the entire straight through. It's definitely fantastic and it feels like a real album instead of just a collection of tracks. Some of it aged poorly the day it was released and the last 20 years have been slightly less kind. Still very good.
Obviously song 2 is the slapper, but I also really liked 'Look Inside America'. Bigger fan of the Gorillaz but still a good band
I do not love U2 and would go so far to say that they get a big eye roll from me, but I like the more muted rock from this album compared to their hits from the aughts.
First time I listened to this all the way through - legendary
It was fine? The last track is obviously the star of the show but overall I was hoping for more.
Definitely grew on me the more I listened. I enjoyed this quite a bit and ended up checking out some of their other big hits. Some really good solid rocking, and quite frankly who doesnt enjoy good head
Not a big metal guy, but I didn't hate the album by any stretch
I'm very much a Dylan guy and was really impressed with how much he sounded like his studio recordings during this concert. Great set list.
Fine. The guitar riff in 'Set the House Ablaze' sounds a lot like Helicopter from Bloc party so that song was p neat
Maybe for the 1950s but certainly not the wildest today. (Still good!)
Perfectly fine and enjoyable album, although "if you want to be my woman" may get ol Merle cancelled today
Never heard of the album or the band but I really enjoyed this. Short and Sweet. Would listen to again.
Everytime I listen to them I just go 'this is fine'. I appreciate David Groh's ability to ONLY be able to make slightly above average music
4 Good album, but Crosby is still a little bitch
I've listened to this album a few dozen times and love a lot of it. Power and Monster are incredible tracks
You will never find me consuming the devils lettuce with other dead-heads
Ok - these dudes grew on me a ton from the first album
I feel like a broken record (heh) on these, but I have loved all the instrumental albums not by Miles Davis. I've heard a lot of these before but never as an album. Great stuff.
I'm sure this is an amazing album for a lot of people but it just didn't do it for me. The title track, Savane, was probably my favorite.
I was pretty determined to give this a high rating given its a seminal album in hip hop and music in general, but I feel that would be overly performative. I do like some wu-tang.. particularly protect ya neck but this really doesnt do it for me overall.
Woah, this one caught me off guard. I didn't realize ready or not came from this album, nor the cover of killing me softly. Really enjoyed this.
So we've had Abbey Road, Revolver and White Album. This one I am the most conflicted on - I love while my guitar gently weeps and blackbird then there is a LOT of crap I really dont like. Honeyyyy PIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HONEY PIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Great band. Saw this album played in person in Dallas. Still love it.
I saw him in concert when he toured with Ben Folds and I kept thinking 'get this fucker off the stage'. Hes way better than I gave him credit for.
I think the non-singles on this album are all fairly weak even if they are catchy as hell. The singles, however, are all-timers. I'm on fire is probably my second favorite Bruce track.
Wow- this album was fucking awesome. Just loved it.
Probably the first time I've given this dude an extended listen. Around the Way Girl is a classic.
Inspirational of all the riddly diddlys out there, this was a fun hard rock and metal album.
Sounds like a better version of Phil Collins who sucks butt. Album was interesting and it definitely had 'welcome to the 80's' vibe but without all the coke
Its like if Depeche Mode made a halloween album that sucked.
Nolstagic but I like this one a bit less than the other Oasis album. BECAUSE MAYYYYBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I thought this was pretty good and was genuinely surprised I hadn't heard of it given that I like the Knife. I wasn't in love with it but see it growing on me over time.
More like shitgarden. JK i used to hate these dudes but this album has grown on me.
Love this album. Haven't listened to it in years but it still slaps.
The title track and the first few off the top slapped. The rest of it was okay.
A surprise 5 for me. I really really liked this and I can tell how much it inspired future alt rock / chill wave of the aughts.
A better version of Coldplay. Still shitty, but better than Coldplay
I feel like giving this album a 5 would be too performative, but I really loved this album in college and there are some really good bangers on it. It's also pretty pretentious
The first track is 20 minutes of not a whole lot of anything but green museum was very good.
Very interesting sounds from these dudes, but im not a huge prog rock guy
Very high 3. Lot of great songs on this album like Lump and Peaches but the back half was largely unnecessary. Stranger was the underrated hit for me
I have never heard of these folks but this was some catchy shit from the mid 60's. Caught me off guard - real fun
Solid - I am getting a bit sick of music specifically from the late 60's but I would also admit its a crazy ass half decade for music
Lead track - Alone Again Or - was quite good but the rest bored me to tears
I enjoyed this more than I expected. I had generally associated these dudes with a lot of bands and 'sounds' I hated growing up but I think I outgrew that. Good stuff
Damn, lot of my instrumental favorites are on this album. I didn't like it AS much as the other instrumental albums but it was still really really good.
High 3 from me. Very interesting album that I liked quite a bit. Very reminiscent of Joy Division and chill wave which I like quite a bit. F it- gonna give it a 4
I feel like if I was a gay, into theater, came of age in the 80s and loved Tolkien then I would have loved this album. It was alright
Im pretty conflicted. I really like this album but it lags pretty far behind lt col pepper and his band. There are very few duds
It's like listening to an important historical album. It was fine.
Fred makes a convincing argument
Legit put me to sleep but I guess thats the point?
Solid album, interesting to listen to but nothing to write home about
Fun album. Feels like the end of a rock era and the introduction of a new one.
I really liked some of the more instrumental heavy tracks (surprise). Pretty solid album from the boys.
I don't know too much about Bowie besides his biggest hits. I thought this late in his career (semi-posthumous?) album was really interesting with some good tracks. I enjoyed the title track the most.
I dont mind this type of music, but it's pretty boring after a few tracks
High 3 from me. Genuinely enjoyed this album. Joni could fucking get it man
Damn I loved this. I knew so little about Van Morrison besides the title track of this album. Definitely an album I'm glad I heard.
This would be great music to have in the background if I wore a trenchcoat and was invading the industrial district of a city trying to find an underground criminal network. Jokes aside it's a solid instrumental album - industrial techno sounding and it really sounds like the music in tons of videogames I played growing up. I have a preference for some of their later work which is more vocal heavy (aka they exist).
I'm not as big into Radiohead as my other musical inclinations would suggest, but this album has grown on me a ton since it's release. I enjoyed this thoroughly and will likely add it into my rotation
Probably not my favorite Pop album- but they've been so rare on this list that it was quite refreshing
Some enjoyable tracks on this bad boy. Still tough to really enjoy a foreign language album
Man a lot of this I like... but im starting to understand Fred
Fun harder rock album. Cult of Personality slaps of course. Really enjoyed this
Very fun live album. Some obvious hits Ive heard a lot but enjoyed the whole thing
I come awake with a gift for womankind You're still asleep but the gift don't seem to mind Rise on this occasion, halfway up your back Sliding down your body, touching your behind You look so self-possessed I won't disturb your rest It's lovely when you're sleeping But wide awake is best Wake up and make love with me, wake up and make love
Not my cup of tea as far as prog rock and instrumental albums go but obviously the title track is amazing
Getting a little burned out on the Bruce Juice - great opening and ending track but the middle was w/e
Absolutely the most irish / english album of all time
I want the rolling stones dead and so does kev apparently
