The magnum opus of one of the best punk bands. Despite its length. The album goes by like a breeze. Great track after great track with no drops in quality. Brilliant album.
Sounds like a continuation of the type of songs Syd Barrett was making while in Pink Floyd but even more chaotic. It's a wild listen.
A fantastic rapper and one of the best producers create an album full of brilliant, classic hip-hop tracks.
Brilliantly eccentric and creative. All the energy of punk with added zaniness.
Wasn't sure what to expect from pre-disco Bee Gees. What I got was a very pleasant baroque pop album.
Interesting album. Very wistful and emotional. The synths have aged better than you'd think. Great vocals.
I rarely listen to jazz but even I can tell this is something special.
Pleasant enough folk album. The instrumentation works really well but the vocals take some getting used to.
The magnum opus of one of the best punk bands. Despite its length. The album goes by like a breeze. Great track after great track with no drops in quality. Brilliant album.
Stevie Wonder at his best. Not a weak track. Very smooth album.
Solid album from one of my favourite artists. Does exactly what the title suggests and more.
Sounds like this album was a major stepping stone in the creation of britpop. It's well worth a listen if you like jangle pop or folk rock.
Sounds like a continuation of the type of songs Syd Barrett was making while in Pink Floyd but even more chaotic. It's a wild listen.
My least favourite of the four main Simon and Garfunkel albums but still a great folk album regardless
Le Freak is a disco classic but it's also easily the best song on the album. The other songs aren't bad but they don't hold a candle.
Good late 90s alt rock sounding album
I get how important this album was in the history of punk but I just don't think it's aged very well. Most of the tracks meander about the album is very samey.
Personally, this is my favourite Led Zeppelin album. Introducing folk elements makes a great band even greater.
The best prog-rock album ever made. Brilliant writing and instrumentation across the album. Just overall brilliant album.
Beautiful vocals, and the live setting makes it so much more intimate and atmospheric
Brilliant fusion of jazz and rock. One of Zappa's very best
Of its time but one of the best of its time. Pop rock with a mastery over both parts of the genre
One of the most fun hip-hop albums I've ever heard. Fantastic beats, lyrics and no filler make this one of the best in the genre.
I can tell this album was very influential but it's aged poorly and sounds cheesy today
It's aged poorly and other artists did this but better. That being said, Morissette can write a half decent pop song
A mixture of funk, Punk, and a very British sense of humour make this a must listen of the late '70s.
A fantastic rapper and one of the best producers create an album full of brilliant, classic hip-hop tracks.
There's good songs here and Femi is a talented musician but the production hasn't aged well at all. Could definitely use a remaster
Brilliantly eccentric and creative. All the energy of punk with added zaniness.
Muddy Waters was a legend and I respect that but this kind of blues I find difficult to sit through for a whole album.
Wasn't sure what to expect from pre-disco Bee Gees. What I got was a very pleasant baroque pop album.
This has gotta be the funkiest album I've ever heard. If you like funk at all, this is a must hear.
Haven't heard much Frank Sinatra or Bossa Nova beforehand but it sounds like combining the two makes some beautiful music.
I really don't think I get this one. I enjoyed it in parts but it mostly felt like it went over my head.
I really like Brit-pop and this has got to be one of the most energetic and fun albums in the genre.
I love Steely Dan so I'll take any excuse to listen to them. I think they have better albums than this but this is still a great album.
The peak of grunge and one of the definitive albums of the 1990s.
I'm usually not a metal fan but I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would.
This album has some of my favourite singles of all time and the album tracks are way better than they're usually given credit for.
I gave it a go and it wasn't for me. There were some good songs but most of them are forgettable and sound the same.
40 minutes of the craziest glam-rock to ever be recorded. One of Bowie's best without a doubt.
A fun mix of rock, pop and music hall. The best opera I've ever heard.
Some alright songs but there's way too many interludes which absolutely kills the pacing of the album.
This is another one I didn't expect to enjoy but did. ABBA are a hit or miss singles band to me but this album of theirs turned out to be halfway decent.
A great in-between point of shoegaze and Brit-pop.
A solid album if a little front-loaded. Still contains some of their best songs.
I'm more a fan of her second album but still, Bjork's debut is one of the best debut albums I know about.
One of the strangest albums of the 60s. S mix of doo-wop, psychedelia and music concrete to make an album like no other.
Second Chic album to come up.The first album had one great song and a lot of filler. This album also has one great song but the rest of the album is pretty good too
A very good Links album but not their best. This album would be the start but not the peak of their golden age.
Their second album blows this out of the water but if you look at it on it's own, it's still a very good album.
It's a fairly enjoyable mid 60s rock album.
The first two thirds of the album are good but the last third of this is fantastic.
Very different from her other album that showed up for me earlier, but equally as good.
I know this came out before it but this is just a worse version of Graceland with some dodgy rapping thrown in for good measure.
The best album from the king of reggae. An album full of genre defining songs
Close to the Edge is their magnum opus but this is a really close second.
It's been a while since I got a Parliament or a Chic album. This just proves you can never get enough of some good funk.
One of the best songwriters I had never checked out before I started this challenge.
The Doors at their absolute best, making fantastic music one last time.
When it's not boring, it's irritating. A few decent tracks hidden in a bloated tracklist full of filler.
It's like a mixture of the Beach Boys and blue eyed soul with a bit of garage rock thrown in. I like it.
A brilliant mix of psychedelic rock and folk. It's Rubber Soul, what more can I say?
Good singles, but the rest of the album could put me to sleep.
40 minutes of generic blues music. I'm indifferent towards this one.
Wasn't expecting too much from this album but ended up feeling pleasantly surprised by it.
Really good blues rock and bluegrass for 70 minutes.
Strong start and middle. Wanes a little towards the end but not too much.
You can tell they were having fun making this because the feeling rubs off on you.
I like Ella Fitzgerald as much as the next man but three hours night be pushing it.
Nothing new they did could ever beat Loveless but this is a decent attempt.
I heard this album before a while ago but forgot how great it is.
Elton John is treated like royalty in the UK. Thus album shows why it's deserved.
A modern, singer-songwriter interpretation of crooner music. Works better than you might expect.
Sounds like a wittier and more sarcastic Elton John.
Elvis never wrote any of his songs but he definitely knew how to sing them.
Later UB40 is very annoying. Early UB40 as seen here has a few decent songs but is mostly forgettable.
If you can get past the occasional preachiness then it's a very enjoyable and underrated hip-hop album.
I really enjoyed her singles beforehand and ended up enjoying the album tracks a decent amount as well
One of my favourite new-wave albums.
I know this album was quite influential but this was a boring listen for me.
I'm not sure what to say about this album but I know I liked it.
Terrible lyricism to the point where it sounds like a parody, but it's being played straight. Every song sounds the same as well.
Dumb fun metal music. Emphasis on fun.
Didn't love it, didn't hate it. There are better punk albums but this one isn't bad
Lou Reed was a brilliant songwriter
There's nothing quite like a good rock live album
Curtis sure was one funky guy
With the exception of the title track, every song on this is excellent
There's something to this but a fair portion hasn't aged well.
It's good but probably could've been a little shorter than it was
As far as classic rock 'n' roll goes, it doesn't get too much better than Buddy Holly
A lot like the Velvet Underground but different in interesting ways
There are some pretty good songs here but it's about 25 minutes too long
