I really enjoy Dark Side of the Moon and Animals. This album is overblown, too long, and boring. I couldn't finish it. Some of the songs are good, but the whole thing is too long

Wow. Did not know this album. Great funky jazz from 1972. I feel like this album has a similar feel to what Herbie Hancock did with the Headhunters.

This album has been surpassed by the Smile Sessions release.

The beats and samples on this record are still super tight. Great use of jazz samples. Solaar opened up the world to non-English rap.

Some absolute classics on here. A couple haven't aged as well. Great album

What do we do this album? Some many genre-defining tracks on here. Some filler tracks. So much baggage.

I was behind in my reviews, so I reviewed two albums back to back. The other album was System of a Down. The whiplash my spirit experienced! These albums are only 41 years apart, but they sound like they are from different universes.

I'm not angry enough. I live a comfortable middle-class life. My days of rage are over.

Pretty wild stuff for the time, I bet.

Overall the album is a 3, but A Spoonful Weighs a Ton and The Spark that Bled are fantastic.

This was already one of my desert island discs. I've listened to this album many times. The poly-rhythmic interaction between Coltrane and the other players in his band means that I can listen to this album many, many times and never get bored. I wish that I could give this a 6.

This album was played in every restaurant and lounge in Vancouver in 2000

Solid album. Anchored by Papa Was a Rolling Stone. It is strange to hear "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" and the voice is so close to Roberta Flack. Also, "Do Your Thing" not the Isaac Hayes version.

I am a big fan of Outkast. I own their first 3 albums. This album made them blow up, but I don’t think it is as good as the earlier albums. So Fresh and So Clean and Ms Jackson are classics

This album has some amazing bangers: Wanna Be Starting Something Thriller Billie Jean Human Nature Solid 80s RnB: Baby Be Mine lady in My Life Never Liked: Beat It Crazy funky, but hard to listen to today. Who is he singing this one to? P.Y.T.

This is the type of album this list is good for. An album that I should have listened to a long time ago that is really good. Solid album with some great songs

DJ Muggs production is amazing on this one. The blues and soul samples are killer.
