What's Going On
Marvin GayeVery chill and enjoyable
Very chill and enjoyable
I think probably the first album I've come across on the tour that I've physically owned. This is probably the peak of the Artic Monkeys before they started becoming lounge singers
First five tracks were very enjoyable, but I didn't feel like the latter 5 held up as much and felt like a tonal shift. Overall, a really good album.
Calm and chilling music, but nothing that seemed really memorable or notable.
Very enjoyable album, the better half of the Battle of Britpop which brings a more varied and distinct sound.
A fairly lowkey album, but very few memorable songs amongst the track list which leads to unenjoyable listening.
A solid radiohead album, but in comparison to their other work this feels less iconic and less memorable. An interesting listen, but not one I'll remember.
A very chill and relaxing album, gives me the vibes of being on a roadtrip
A very enjoyable album, brings the holiday feeling while introducing a sound I may not have listened to in the past.
Suede? More like shite.
Hard hitting and bringing funk-rock beats with a mix of rap that makes a unique and enjoyable sound
Very relaxing music, a breeze to listen to.
Decent, but nothing too memorable
Not surprising to see why they were a one hit wonder, the album has the few enjoyable songs but otherwise isn't too memorable
En klassiker
A relic of the 2000's, probably should stay there to be honest.
Decent, not entirely my cup of tea but I can enjoy it none the less and understand why its iconic.
Decent electronic, overshadowed by other giants of the genre
Easy Listening and relaxing
An enjoyable listen, which I didn't expect at first
Was somewhat enjoyable, but a very long album and dragged things out far, far too long
A decent album, but in a roundabout way the majority of the score only comes from one song
Very one track, same sounding throughout
Quite annoying, didn't really vibe with me
Very Chill
Think im coming down with a case of the hives
Bring back Micheal
Back in the saddle for some classic Who, doesn't blow me away but fairly enjoyable
Pretty mediocre kings of leon album imo
Enjoyable rock, lots of fun riffs that keep you interested
Bunch of bangers, with a few half decent songs falling below the par
Mostly reminded me of a 90s RPG soundtrack, very experimental but enjoyable
More like The Slits my wrists
Smiling politely, enjoying this album
Feels like an album the simpsons would parody
Short and sweet, some absolute bangers of songs on this album that makes for extremely easy and enjoyable listening
Forgettable, could barely finish the album
Didn't think I'd like it that much, but actually decent despite being very much of the 2000s style
Too long, too boring, too meh.
A classic, short and sweet.
Reminds me of a 90s PS1 racing game soundtrack
Didn't really wow me all that much
Interesting vibes, I liked it but it didn't blow me away at any point
The Album formerly known as "A banger"
Not my favourite Roxy Music album but still full of enjoyable songs
Maybe edit some of these tracks down a bit, you don't need to add everything
Fairly unremarkable
Not really my bag
Don't think im going to either, this was straight to Boringtown
If you enjoy the sound of a building site, you'll love this.
Went be very quickly, a good sign. Haven't heard of this band before but will look into more of their stuff
Some good, some bad. Overally fairly middle of the road
Not my usual type of music, but it mixed a lot of themes and sounds that lead it to be very enjoyable. Feels like an album that might benefit from a 2nd listen
Very relaxing, very chill, very chic.
Linko no worko
Fairly generic, apart from one song I recognised the rest blended together into a bit of a blur
Enjoyable but think this would really depend how many edibles you've taken for this to go to the next level
Started interesting, then dropped like a stone into some pretty generic hip-hop
I was blind to the knowledge about a lot of these tracks, compared to his more famous ones but it was still an enjoyable listen you should look out for
Tiny dancer is doing a lot of heavy lifting on this album, but overall was pretty decent and low key
Another album with one song doing a lot of heavy lifting, but as much as the other songs didn't live up to Sultans of Swing, it was still very enjoyable
Bit boring
Another one hit wonder, with not much substance outside of that track. Fairly underwhelming
Why is this here?
Didn't really vibe with me all that much, but didn't have any issues with it either
Chill and a good listen, but Mr Blue Sky is doing the real heavy lifting on this album
Real strong vibe, enjoyed it thoroughly and the live aspect only enhanced it
Pish
Some maybe good, some maybe shit
Much better than most modern hip-hop, but still nothing truly memorable
Flew by and a lot of fun to listen to
Chill music, but can get a bit samey
Very meh
Pretty chill, although a tad repetitive
Grooooovy
Only knew them for Valrie, but wasn't aware they had this in them
Need to rein in my blood pressure after all that headbanging
Fuuuuunky
Understated classic for a reason
Me Gustan
Felt like a bit of a copy of Fun Loving criminals, fairly unmemorable though
Cracking album, enjoyable back to front with some iconic songs among them.
Neither as interesting as Moby or as tasty as a grape
Very french
Fuck Oasis. This is real britpop
Was half expecting this to be carried by Hallelujah, but was genuinely surprised by the quality on display
Strong first half to the album, but drops off in the second half
Enjoyed this a lot more when it came out, although listening back to it now. There's only a few tracks that really stand out
Didn't really tickle my pickle
Think I used to own this album back in the day, has some enjoyable tracks but not as strong as other albums on the list.
Decent, but listening to the album a lot of it sounds very samey and seemed to blend into each other.
Very overrated
Listened to over half the album, and just got a bit annoyed at it. Sounds like something I'd make if I was bored with garageband.
Bit boring, didn't really grasp me all that much.
Gives me vibes of a 90s PS1 era racing game soundtrack, couldn't listen to it a lot but it had some catch beats
An enjoyable album, but has really suffered from its own success. Been very overplayed on radios and in adverts
The kinda songs that are very popular in places with loose familial relations law. Can't say I live in one of those.
Just a bit shite wasn't it
Not the Eagles best work, but an alright listen
Bit of a bop and a fun listen to
Pleasant but nothing really to write home about
The 90s party playlist, maybe a bit too hard for a school disco though
Very chill and enjoyable
Not too bad, but kind of blended together too much
A chill and enjoyable listen, not an artist I'd heard of before and surprised by the quality
Really great recording, with all the hits given a new twist
Fairly uninteresting, alright as background music but even then didn't really grab me all that much
Bit long, and missing a few hits on it. A lot of the songs didn't really grab me
Pretty timeless classic that showcases Johnny Cash's talent excellently
Bit bland, not really my cup of tea. Ps The Edge is bald, pass it on
Bit underwhelming from a fairly big artist, didn't really have the same energy or passion you'd come to expect.
Wouldn't say its Charles Mingus' best, but an enjoyable listen none the less.
Bit Bleh, nothing really interesting going on
For a star as big as Taylor Swift, I'd be expecting a bit more but a lot of this album felt very samey and didn't really grasp me at all
Experimental, didn't really love it but didn't really hate it either.
Chill and enjoyable, had a pretty relaxed vibe throughout without being boring.
Not a bad album by any means, but felt like it needed to do a bit more to grab me. One for a lazy afternoon perhaps.
Very high energy and optimistic, this album was a really enjoyable listen.
Can't really find much fault with this album, although its really not my cup of tea. So purely personal preference on the rating
One of the true classic bands of metal, this album does not disappoint at all.
Very enjoyable, I liked the vibe of it especially from a band I've never heard of prior to this
Un peu bop, c'était énergique et amusant
Very intimate and giving a real feel of true blues, a real showcase of an icon
Starting to realise that punk really isn't my cup of tea, can't really fault the album but it just doesn't tickle the pickle for me
Did this album really have to be on this list? Not sure its even Beyonces best album, let alone part of the 1001
Felt very meh, almost like background music designed not to be noticed
Just kinda meh?
Alright, but the tunes can get a bit repetitive and lacking in some creativity
For an album with a fairly iconic reputation, I didn't feel like it had the quality across the board which I would come to expect. It may be a victim of its own success in that regard.
Was about to give this a four star then there was an awful song about a bike
Not as iconic as other Led Zeppelin albums, but still one or two bangers
This is my jam, some really iconic tracks that really show off how gifted Depeche Mode are at transforming the 80s electronica into a whole different kettle of fish
Quirky style but Rock Lobster is doing a lot of the heavy lifting here
Very chill. Very groovy. Very Zen
Pretty unoffensive but a lot of very samey sounding songs across the album
I've got a case of the blues, and Fred Neil needs some creativity in naming his albums
The only way to make Manchester bearable is to be on copious amounts of drugs, and I think the Happy Mondays encapsulate that. The music is alright too.
Some primo shit
Don't really get what they're going for here, seems a bit all over the place and is a struggle to get some enjoyment out of
Proof that cheating on your partner is the key to making good music
Not had enough reefer to think this is revolutionary
The bookend songs are very strong, but I can't say the same for everything inbetween. A decent album, but feels like it could do more.
Pretty standard prog rock, didn't really do anything to impress me but wasn't bad in the same sense
Not quite as bombastic as Ive come to expect from Queen, but some solid tracks that keep it enjoyable
Decent Jazz album, just didnt blow my socks off
A bit of a mush, no real definition and didnt really vibe all too much with it
Who knew a lounge cover of Iron Man could be so good?
Peaches is doing a lot of heavy lifting, the rest of the album doesn't really match up in terms of quality and leaves you feeling rather disappointed
Very much of the 2000s but Cry me a river and Rock your body are still bangers
Very chill and an enjoyable listen
Enjoyable and upbeat, but with a very calming and reserved vibe throughout. Do wish there was some more variety throughout but still not bad.
A hip hop album that isn't mumble rap, unfunny skits or trash beats. Colour me surprised
Couldn't understand a word, but very funky and enjoyable
Very chill, not much else to say
Interesting covers but not much else
Nothing really impressing me too much
Just a bit meh
Decent, but didn't really offer anything too memorable to me
An enjoyable listen
Very chill but not Portisheads best
Half decent hip-hop, but questioning why its on this list
Immaculate vibes. I knew of many of the more popular Talking Heads songs already, but there is a number on this album I can see joining my playlist.
None of the Black Sabbath songs I'm familiar with, but none of them really disappointed. Although, would be hard to pick a standout
I think probably the first album I've come across on the tour that I've physically owned. This is probably the peak of the Artic Monkeys before they started becoming lounge singers
Very jazzy. Very Enjoyable. A good addition
Just a bit boring? The melodies were nice but there was nothing here that felt like it deserved to be on the list
Interesting, but didn't really grasp me in any real way
I was hoping the live performance would have had a bit more energy, compared to some of the other live albums on the list so far but it was quite forgettable.
