PortisheadVery good album. Much better as it went through. Dark tones. The beats were very interesting. Favorite songs: Mystery Box and It Could Be Sweet. (Rated a 3 but probably a 3.5 or 3.75)

Really like this album. Fun tones, sounds, and beats. Peter Gabriel has pipes. I will definitely be coming back to this. Only song I knew was Sledgehammer. Favorite songs: Red Rain, Sledgehammer (duh), Big Time, In Your Eyes
God I love this album. It's so simple. 1 4 5 every song hahaha. Beginnings of punk. I feel this was ahead of it's time for 1976. It's prob a 4.5 for me. Favorite songs: Blitzkrieg Bop, I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend, I Don't Wanna Go Down to the Basement, and Havana Affair
This album was fine. The highs were highs and the lows were....eh. Many other Bowie albums I'd rather listen to and I hope are in this list we are going through. Prob a 2.5 album. Favorite songs: Valentine's Day, (You Will) Set the World on Fire, The Stars (Are Out Tonight)
Pretty good album. Not something I would normally listen to, but I appreciate what it did for reggae music. Bob Marley is an icon. Favorite songs: Exodus, Waiting in Vain, Jamming, So Much Things To Say, Three Little Birds (of course)
Holy shit was this album great. I don't know if there was a bad song on it. I've only heard the ELO hits before and wow I need to keep deep diving. I'm blown away. The Whale was probably my least favorite track, but it wasn't bad at all Favorite songs: Mr. Blue Sky (obv), Across the Border, Sweet is the Night, Wild West Hero, Night in the City
Ugh....Bob Dylan just can't sing. I get the appeal tho. The fact he was 22 when he made this album is also really cool. I get he was super influential but idk...every cover of a Bob Dylan song is better than his version. The song writing is pretty good but I know it gets better later in his career too (most of this album is covers). Probably more like 1.5 stars Favorite songs: Don't Think Twice, It's Alright and Blowin' in the Wind
This album was definitely better than I had anticipated as a non hip hop fan. A lot of the songs started to kinda blend together tho. I think the beats were creative. The vocals didn't really interest me too much Liked songs: Just to Get a Rep, As I Read My S-A
Short album. It was fun but there are many other punk albums I would rather go to. I think after a while they started to get really repetitive especially the vocals Favorite songs: Look Back & Laugh, Sob Story, Cashing In
Talking Heads without David Byrne This album was fun but not my style. A little out there. I'm not sure I'd ever listen to this again tbh. The beats were super 80s (a lil too 80s for me)...I just can't get into the vocals either Liked songs: None Disliked songs: Wordy Rappinghood
This was a good album. It made me feel like I was back in my grandparents' house. I would need to be in a very specific mood to listen to this album but I did really like it. Liked Songs: Cry to Me, Just Out of Reach (Of My Two Empty Arms), Can't Nobody Love You, and Won't You Give Him (One More Chance)
I really liked this album. It's not my favorite album in the world but I love Paul Simon's voice, the beats are fun, and the instrumentation and scores are creative. I think it is more like a 3.75 Liked Songs: The Boy in the Bubble, Graceland, You Can Call Me Al, Under African Skies, That Was Your Mother
This album was fine. It was a fun concept as a jam album but it seemed to not really go anywhere. I was entertained for the first half until "Who Do You Love Pt.2" and then got bored. Calvary is too long. Their cover of Happy Trails was BAD and Van Halen's is WAY better lol
I liked this album but it was not what I had expected at all. I was expecting Disco and instead it was like if the late, more mature, post-drugs Beatles wrote instrumentals for a David Bowie inspired singer to sing over. I kinda Disliked the 2nd half (From "When Do I" onward) but I loved the 1st half Liked Songs: Israel, The Greatest Man In The World, It's Just The Way, Trafalgar
This album was good. It did get boring after a while. "Black Screen" and "pulse (v.1)" were toooo long. Clearly a lot of talent went into this but not my style. It started to feel repetitive. Liked songs: "call the police" and "oh baby"
Fun album. It took me a little bit to enjoy the singer's voice, but I enjoyed it. The Extended Version is better than the original release in my opinion. It's a fun album with good guitar parts. Probably a 3.5 Liked Songs: "Mambo Sun", "Monolith" , "Bang a Gong (Get It On)" , "The Motivator" , "Rip Off" , "Raw Ramp" , "Woodland Rock" , "King of the Mountain Cometh"
I really really liked the album. It's not a no skipper which stops it from being a 5 star but boy is it good. It's Just overall a lot of fun. "Glad Tidings" a great closer. Favorite Songs: "Moondance" , "Crazy Love" , "Caravan" , "Come Running" , "These Dreams of You" , "Brand New Day" , "Glad Tidings"
I think this album was...fine. The guitar riffs and drum parts were a lot of fun, but I can't get into the screaming too much. Now, when they sang more calmly, it was very impressive. Sometimes the screaming is appropriate, but it is a lot. Prob more like a 2.5 Liked Songs: "Snuff" (I LOVED this one) , "Sulfur" , "Dead Memories" , "Psychosocial"
I really really liked this album. It was a lot of fun. I think I'd need to be in a certain mood to turn this album on but I will definitely be returning to this. The guitar parts were great and it was just a good time. I think the last two songs, while long, were a fun jam. This album gave me major R.E.M. vibes. Prob more of a 3.75 Liked Songs: Everything except for "Don't Stop" and "Elizabeth My Dear." I LOVED "She Bangs the Drums" tho
This album was fun. Def not my favorite but I enjoyed it. Some people talk about Beck like a guitar god and I'm not sure about that. There are fun guitar licks and parts and it's very good, but this album didn't have me go that far. Anyway, I did enjoy this album. I'm definitely willing to try more Beck. However, what the fuck was "Computer Rock." I hate ending albums with songs like that lolol Liked Songs: "Devils Haircut" , "Hotwax" , "Lord Only Knows" , "Novacane" , "Where It's At" , "Minus" , "Readymade" , "Ramshackle"
This album was sooo calming. Honestly I'd work to this for sure (I was working when I listened to most of this album). The vocals are so well done, the instrumentation sounds so clean and clear. I really like it. I need to be in a mood to listen to music like this but I can see listening during a night walk/drive for sure Liked Songs: "Crystalised" , "Islands" , "Basic Space" , "Shelter"
I really really liked this album. I see how Nirvana considers them one of their biggest inspirations. The similarities are strong. There also seems to be some similarities with R.E.M. Favorite parts: From "Ana" until "Hang Wire" ...all those songs HIT. "Blown Away" will be in my constant rotation
So I have listened to this album before and damn do I love it. Some songs here I NEVER get tired of and could listen to them on repeat all day. Steven Tyler is one of my favorite singers in all of rock and Joe Perry is a great guitarist. This is prob more like a 4.5 star album Favorite Songs: I love this whole album but "Sick As A Dog" , "Lick And A Promise" , "Rats In The Cellar" , and "Back In The Saddle" are highlights
This album was good. I know it is iconic and Herbie is legendary but sometimes I feel that the songs go on for a little too long, however, it was fun to listen to. "Chameleon" and "Watermelon Man" are iconic but to be honest, "Sly" was my FAVORITE. This is an enjoyable album to have in the background as you do other things. Favorite Songs: "Sly" and "Chameleon"
This album was...interesting. The beats seemed to never go anywhere. A lot of them started off great and then they just...stayed where they were. I listened to both discs and enjoyed the "Dirge - Slam Mix" and "Dirge - Adrian Sherwood Remix" better than the original version of "Dirge". Liked Songs: "Dirge" , "Flying" , "Aladdin's Story" , "Neptune City" , and "One More Time" Low Point: The weird screaming around the 3:20 mark of "Aisha"
This album was a lot better than I thought it would be. I listened to "The Velvet Underground & Nico" a few years ago (the album with the banana peel) and didn't like it so either my music interest changed, this album was a lot better, or both lol. "The Murder Mystery" REALLY lost my interest tho lol. I had this album as a 4 and this song dropped me to a 3/3.5. Overall this album had some really calming and intricate parts and some up-beat rock parts. Liked Songs: "Beginning To See The Light" , "I'm Set Free" , "Some Kinda Love" , "What Goes On" , "Pale Blue Eyes" , "Jesus" , "After Hours"
