Van Halen
Van HalenClassic, no filler. What a debut!
Classic, no filler. What a debut!
Classic Bon Scott AC/DC
3 known tracks just a gigolo/I ain't got nobody, jump jive an wail and night train (enchantment under the sea dance ha!) . A fun album. Swing, big band and jazz influences.
Easy 5 star. Wall to wall bangers. An absolute classic!!
All songs have the same style (unsurprisingly) so got a little repetitive but still really enjoyed it as a Christmas listen. Wouldn't put it on any other time of the year
No known "hits" but a solid album front to back. Highlights for me were The Cross and Adore
Great arrangements. Voice reminded me of the zombies or Belle and Sebastian. Really liked this album!
All about love was way too self indulgent. Strong bass playing throughout
That lady, cool synths. Some interesting covers. Highways of my life and that lady were the best tracks. Overall, it was ok.
Own it. Solid but I prefer are you experienced
Bit too 80s sounding at times but overall a fantastic album. Recognized most of the songs, but didn't know they were all from one album.
God help me, I listened to a fair bit of this album. I just don't like his voice. Some of the instrumental aspects were quite nice though like the piano on better off without a wife
This album checks a lot of 80s music boxes in terms of instrumentation. Vocals are all the same. To me, a forgettable album. It's not bad, just boring. No idea why it's on this list.
An alright album. Highlights are yellow and trouble obviously. No other tracks really lept out at me though. Probably wouldn't listen to it again
Aside from self esteem and come out and play I really liked it'll be a long time. A solid album if a bit repetitive but that's just their style so no points deducted.
Spanish, salsa, disco, funk album. Not my thing but they do play well together
Own it, love it
Not a bad album but pretty boring. Background music at best, though not sure what situation I'd put this on in the background
Everybody's talking was a highlight. Had never heard the original before, only Nilson's version. Other than this though, the album was just ok. Lyrics and instrumentation didn't do much for me
Better than I thought. Had a very 70s feel to it
Sad bastard music but it's done well for sure. Say yes and pictures of me were highlights. Overall a good album but one I'm unlikely to revisit
Electronic duo from Scotland, who knew? The music was interesting but I did find the beats a bit repetitive.
A combination of metal and punk. Really didn't like how the singer pronounced reignition. Not my thing but there's definitely talent there musically, less so lyrically and vocally
Fun album
A good cohesive album. No stand out tracks
Own it. Still an awesome album
Great album. I remember when it came out. Still holds up
The squeaking noises ruined my experience. Why is it in every song?! I honestly enjoyed a lot of the songs but that noise was beyond distracting. The album would have been so much better without this
Not really my thing but good for what it is
Such a cool and diverse album. Really should have listened to it sooner! Andre took more chances musically but big boi was more consistent.
Booooooooriiiiiiing adult contemporary jazz. Sorry Paul Weller
I respect the vocal talent but this was definitely not for me
Tried, still find crooning really boring
Really enjoyed this. Some pretty catchy aspects I wasn't expecting.
I don't listen to Nazis
Heard it before. A very solid album that I still enjoyed very much
Pretty cool album. Can hear where some of the future brit pop sound was coming in.
Some interesting choices. I like mixes of languages. I think one song was portuguese?
Great album
Electronic music. Predominantly instrumental.
Classic, no filler. What a debut!
A pretty interesting album. Felt in some ways like a precursor to the Brian Jonestown massacre.
So repetitive
Some nice orchestral arrangements. Couple decent songs but nothing amazing
Some interesting songs and harmonies.
This is the most 1989 sounding record.
Cool album Another love song was a standout. Some interesting harmonies too
Blue condition was an interesting one in addition to the classic tracks on this album
Toxic relationship concept album based on her own life. So basically it's classic old country. I enjoyed this album lyrically and of course the vocals are great.
Classic Bon Scott AC/DC
Fitting for Valentine's day. A soulful album about kissing and fucking. I loved it! What a voice and the album has such a cool vibe. Maybe I'll put it on if I ever get another date ha!
Solid album. Cool jangly Guitars and harmonies
Soundtracks aren't really my thing but this did have a cool 70s feel
An eclectic collection of songs. Doesn't touch rumours but still interesting. To me, no stand out songs but still good
Pretty cool album sonically speaking. Felt like if the stooges and early led zeppelin had a baby. Lyrically and vocally it had great attitude but wasn't very catchy. Still enjoyed it
3 known tracks just a gigolo/I ain't got nobody, jump jive an wail and night train (enchantment under the sea dance ha!) . A fun album. Swing, big band and jazz influences.
Exactly what I expected. Janis is powerful on vocals. Some cool guitar tones as well. Liked at the end when you can hear the promoter talking about upcoming shows with The Who, electric prunes, grateful dead etc
Easiest 5 star yet
Still an awesome, fun album High energy, fast, catchy rock n roll
To me a pretty typical indie record from the 2000s. It was middle of the road to me. There's definitely better indie records from that era.
Classic Metallica! Easy 5 stars here. One of my favourite albums with so many absolute bangers. Nothing else matters is my favorite track
Thought this would be uninteresting but I enjoyed it. Such unique vocals. I'd only ever heard insane in the brain before this.
Why was the last track, I dream a highway, over 14 minutes?! Honestly, cut 10 minutes off and you're good. The album had an overall good feel though. Country/folk. Put this on on a summer eve on the porch with a drink while hanging out with friends.
Her voice is a bit much for me. Too much vibrato. I did enjoy a couple songs though
So many classic songs.
An interesting album. Some cool grooves and arrangements.
Spacey, electronic soundscapes. Minimalist vocals. Not really catchy or anything but had an interesting vibe. She's so had a jazzy, pink floyd style feel I liked
Some songs I knew but didn't know they were on this album like one step closer and crawling. In the end is the obvious highlight though. A pretty sklid album especially if you're into this style of music!
The 3 best songs were selected as singles for sure. Rest of the album was still good though. Aggressive bass playing!
Classic album, don't even need to listen to it. Definitely see where zeppelin got some early influences. Plus page and beck were friends
Some pretty eclectic influences. I enjoyed it!
Fun album. Always cool to hear Guitars in rap music
Easy 5 star. Wall to wall bangers. An absolute classic!!
Great album. Nice to hear it again, it's been a while. Lots of variety too.
Cool feel but didn't blow me away or anything
Cool delivery on the vocals. I liked the style. My favorite track by then is let's push things forward but that's not on this album. Anyway, interesting album
It was alright. Songs were a bit long
This album was pretty middle of the road. I enjoy Clapton but this was nothing special. Let it grow is my favorite track here.
Still a great album! I remember my brother buying this when it came out. Scar tissue was part of the soundtrack of my summer that year. Really fond memories
Classic album. Saw them last year. Fight test is my favorite track
This was a decent album with some cool ideas. Didn't blow me away or anything. Rip it up and I can't help myself were probably my favorite tracks
Own it, great album!
Decent album. Pretty classic Morrissey sound. I enjoyed it. You're the one for me fatty lol. Seasick yet still docked was a highlight
A really fun upbeat album. Lots of catchy songs. Would definitely listen to it again!
Takes me back. So many great songs. The final instrumental track is my favorite but I like guiding star, the concept and what you do to me a lot as well
Great album I've heard many times. Devil's haircut was the first beck song that really grabbed when I was a teenager
Kind of a surf, punk album with little hints of rockabilly. Liked the cover of fever. Cool album!
I did not like this
Aside from changes this was just a middle of the road album. None of the other tracks really jumped out at me.
