Rust In Peace by Megadeth

don’t get me wrong i take literally every single opportunity to shit on dave mustaine but fuuuck does that man know his way around a guitar. marty friedman is also a beast on this album. aliens, religion, comic book refs, warfare as themes... bunch of nerds. other than my deeply rooted annoyance against mustaine there is unfortunately nothing bad about this album (yes im as petty as him). one of the better things in life that was born out of hatred and pettiness.

Astral Weeks by Van Morrison

2 van morrison albums in 3 days? can I just get my favourite morrison instead😩🙏 his songs just all sound the same after some time

Paris 1919 by John Cale

the songs don't stand out on their own imo but altogether they are enjoyable to listen

Walking Wounded by Everything But The Girl

actually an easy and chill listen, not much to complain about

Rage Against The Machine by Rage Against The Machine
Jan 18 2025

So fierce, so angsty, so good! Some truly great bass, the album’s values and messages still hold up to date really well.

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Jan 19 2025

must've scared the shit out of some parents back in the day eheheheh love it <3 birth of heavy metal yooooooooo!!!!!

Jan 20 2025

Vibed thru most of it, kinda lost me at some points tho(mostly speakerboxx), can tell they were experimenting which is cool but some of them were unfortunately misses. Definitely liked The Love Below more than Speakerboxxx, surprised to see more people prefer Speakerboxxx, but hey different strokes ig…🤷‍♀️ 3.5/5

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Jan 21 2025

Can easily spot who Corgan got influenced by throughout the album. Consists of bangers that were already on my personal rotation and some new ones has surely been added. Great mix of dirtier sounds and mellow tunes, they also did a good job with keeping the quality of the songs consistent.

Back In Black by AC/DC
Jan 22 2025

not many bands can make this good of a comeback after the passing of their frontman. ac/dc delivers exactly what is expected of them. a rock classic, i mean you cannot tell me you never blasted Back in Black on full volume when driving 😮‍💨😩

Tellin’ Stories by The Charlatans
Jan 23 2025

very much british, sounds like every other britpop band of that era, nothing new or exciting, idk its just kinda bland… 2.5/5

The Trinity Session by Cowboy Junkies
Jan 24 2025

not a big fan (at all) of country music but this album surprised me pleasantly. love her mellow and smooth voice that goes so well with the natural reverb of the church, i don't think this album could've sounded better if it was recorded in any other way. 3.5/5

Abraxas by Santana
Jan 25 2025

I was today years old when i learned Black Magic Woman is originally from Fleetwood Mac. The argument I’m trying to make here is that it belongs to Santana in the same way that “Hurt” belongs to Johnny Cash and not NIN.

Jan 26 2025

its pretty decent for what it is but i think i would’ve enjoyed this one more if i were a british teenager in the 2000’s. Also “Golden Skans” is a banger.

Good Old Boys by Randy Newman
Jan 27 2025

the suspicious looking guy in the trenchcoat who sold me this swore on his mama that this was a 100% legit pixar soundtrack, come to think of it he was walking a bit wobbly... he might've been two kids stacked on top of each other for all i know.....

Stardust by Willie Nelson
Jan 28 2025

another country album to get me to change my opinion on country music. Very cozy, can’t complain.

School's Out by Alice Cooper
Jan 29 2025

everyone's favourite crazy grandpa, what's there to not like 🤷‍♀️

Jan 30 2025

been wanting to both read the book and watch the movie for a looong time but due to my procrastination habits I got to listen to the soundtrack first

Jan 31 2025

messy, dirty and raw, proto-punk band that does justice to being a proto-punk band. always amazing and interesting to see the emergence and birth of new genres! 3.5/5

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
Feb 01 2025

immediately ran to the wiki to see if there's a relation between them and the modern lovers and what do you knooow eheheh same keyboardist. both are bands that i really enjoy listening, both have their own whimsy. Is this their best album? nah but still a very good one!

Rust In Peace by Megadeth
Feb 02 2025

don’t get me wrong i take literally every single opportunity to shit on dave mustaine but fuuuck does that man know his way around a guitar. marty friedman is also a beast on this album. aliens, religion, comic book refs, warfare as themes... bunch of nerds. other than my deeply rooted annoyance against mustaine there is unfortunately nothing bad about this album (yes im as petty as him). one of the better things in life that was born out of hatred and pettiness.

Coles Corner by Richard Hawley
Feb 03 2025

been listening to him for ages and still think he's very underrated. best to listen to on a slightly cool summer evening 🙂‍↕️

1984 by Van Halen
Feb 04 2025

is it glam metal? ye BUUUT its also Van Halen so its okay 🙂‍↕️

Talking Timbuktu by Ali Farka Touré
Feb 06 2025

i don't really know how to rate world music but i really enjoyed the instrumentals of a couple of tracks, some very cool sounds in this one

Among The Living by Anthrax
Feb 07 2025

this album fuckkksss, i don't understand why it has such a low rating here, unfair. maybe y'all haven't listened to it loud enough🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Feb 08 2025

There was a time in my life when i refused to listen to AIC just bc i felt like id be betraying Nirvana (i know its childish and stupid, i was a stupid naive child ok??? leave me alone 😫) but i realised how dumb i was and fixed my relationship with them super quickly as they are actually fucking great. I don't know if i have the words to describe this album other than it being very bleak and heartbreaking, one can understand what it is about even if they didn't bother reading the lyrics. So devastating that your journey had to end like this Layne, even though you knew how it would end. You truly were one of the greatest voices in grunge, RIP :(

Beyond Skin by Nitin Sawhney
Feb 10 2025

not the most boring nor the most creative thing out there, only two tracks i enjoyed. somewhat repetitive at parts. 2.5/5

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
Feb 11 2025

just from the album cover and the name ‘Meat Loaf’ I was expecting something like Steve Vai meets Iron Maiden meets early Ozzy, but instead i got a musical. I was questioning how come I’ve never heard of one of the best selling albums given the cover looks just like something that’d be right up my valley…. but alas its a musical…thats why. by no means its boring tho, everything’s so over the top lol how could it be? Three Out of Five Ain’t Bad

Elvis Is Back by Elvis Presley
Feb 12 2025

ive been a 90 year old gramma since i was 13 so believe me when i say im a bit of an Elvis connoisseur myself 🧐🙂‍↕️ that being said this is a weak good comeback album, especially by Elvis standards, his earlier works are just sooooo sooo good that this one just can't compete with them and with some of his latter stuff as well....what happened in the army man😔

Let's Stay Together by Al Green
Feb 13 2025

sometimes you just gotta chill and this a great album for that

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
Feb 14 2025

impossible not to move 🪩🕺weee🕺aaare🪩 faaaa🕺🪩miiiilyy🕺🪩

Feb 15 2025

i looove Queen so muchhhhh!!!!! one of their best albums imo, Brian May really popped off on this one. I dont have much to say i think, other than ive heard this album oh so many times and it still rocks.

Odelay by Beck
Feb 16 2025

i mean i do not want to be rude but he def became popular just because this was right after Nirvana and record companies decided to give a chance to non-mainstream, alternative, experimental sounds after seeing Nirvana’s huge success. I can understand what he was trying to do here but its just not revolutionary nor exciting, as I already am familiar (and in love) with the sound and tone direction (especially the dirtier and more distorted sounds of the first half) he was trying to go but there exists many bands and singers who had done it way better way earlier that i very much love. dunno what it is (i do) but he just sounds so pretentious and try-hard to be something that he is not. I was just about to write that he gives off rich nepo baby who can care-freely choose the ‘’art student/artist’’ path but decided to check his wiki first for a sec and lol what do u know both his parents’ names are in blue. had to laugh, i love being right🙏

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Feb 17 2025

zappa never fails to entertain me, love his weird little antics.

Moondance by Van Morrison
Feb 18 2025

it did a good job as background tunes, some songs felt reeally similar to one another, overall it was an okay album.

Traffic by Traffic
Feb 19 2025

really enjoyed this one but couldn’t help but think how i would’ve enjoyed this waaaay more if it had more psychedelic elements. 3.5/5

Feb 20 2025

FUCK YOU COURTNEY AND FUCK THE FACT THAT THIS IS A GREAT ALBUM

Astral Weeks by Van Morrison
Feb 21 2025

2 van morrison albums in 3 days? can I just get my favourite morrison instead😩🙏 his songs just all sound the same after some time

Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel

Highly Evolved by The Vines
Feb 24 2025

being angry is not enough i have to physically punch the person who said they are the second coming of Nirvana. Inspired (heavvviily!!!!!) BY Nirvana? yeah ofc, it's clear as day, bUT SECOND COMING?? get real... now that im done yelling, i actually enjoyed the album 🤭 tho they sound more like an australian radiohead a bit, especially the second half of the album🧐. 3.5/5

Mar 05 2025

Apr 07 2025

so called weird sounds and experimental lovers sure run fast the other way when they come into the presence of true weirdo i mean of course i know this one is a total hit or total miss for majority of the listeners but you know at least it evokes emotions and makes you question what you just listened to Also the lyrics slaps, i mean come on; "There will come a time when every evil That we know will be an evil That we can rise above" wish i was stoned af when listening to this...

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Apr 10 2025

I was gonna also point out how 90s it sounds but then I saw everyone and their mothers were talking about it so I'm gonna point something else out; in the middle of the album it hit me...she sounds like Gayle from Bob's Burgers so i may have stopped taking it seriously at some points This was my first time to actually listen to Alanis Morissette properly and wasn't too disappointed or mind blown 3.5/5 (not on the lower side tho)

In Utero by Nirvana
Apr 15 2025

"Teenage angst has paid off well, now I'm bored and old." A big 'fuck you' from Nirvana to the huge commercial success of "Nevermind" The album that has been with me through my best and worst. No matter what I write, which words I choose to embellish my sentences with or how hard I try to explain, I fear I will never find the right words to even begin to tell the impact this album has had on me. If you've been fighting depression for too long, you know there comes a point when behind all that sadness, that pent-up anger, comes creeping the state of numbness. That's the point where you know you're in the deep end; you cannot feel anything, nothing brings you sadness, anger or frustration, let alone joy. During my lowest, up until the point when I first heard the line "I miss the comfort in being sad," I thought no one had ever nor would ever understand how I felt. Hearing that line felt like receiving the tightest hug filled with so much love and understanding from a great friend. "I miss the comfort in being sad" the exact words I'd wish to come up with to put my abstract feelings into concrete words. At least I was familiar with sadness; that was my natural state, where I felt home emotionally. And when, even sadness was taken away from me, all I could think was how I took it for granted and wished to feel something, even if it was only sorrow. My love for this album doesn't only come from "Frances Farmer", every single song on this album is just so raw and filled with so much emotion that one can bond with the album so quickly over so many great lines and feelings they convey. At least that was the case for me. Been hooked on this album ever since I first heard it and it has been on repeat since. Nirvana and especially Kurt made me the person I am today. They are the reason why I deeply attach to the music and musicians I listen to and have strong opinions about them and their art. Though I'd like to think I am doing better, I will never not keep Kurdt in my thoughts, especially for the way he was always there for the dumb, depressed 13 year old girl who thought life had to end then and there. It makes my heart ache every time I think about the album that I've found a friend in, who has always been there for me every time I needed and brought me such comfort, being their last. What a way to say goodbye Kurdt, still cannot believe you've been gone longer than you've been with us, man. I just wish the person who has brought me so much comfort could also find solace in his life. Miss you so much Kurdt, I always feel like I've lost a very dear friend whom I never got the chance to meet. I hope death is treating you kinder than life ever did. "There is nothing I could say that I haven't thought before" 11/10

i don't know how this album went under my radar as someone who really enjoys Bowie, very well crafted album, artistry is as always top notch, also it felt like listening to two different albums due to its structure

Beautiful Freak by Eels
May 28 2025

exactly the vibes I expected from the name and the album cover , some nice stuff in there but his voice gets boring after like 5 songs max

Phrenology by The Roots
May 30 2025

had to do a double check to see if they're the same roots that play on Fallon, for some reason thought they'd be more jazz but a pleasant surprise!

Smash by The Offspring
May 31 2025

oh hell yeah so in your face and 90s angsty skater boys vibes, loved itttt, dunno why i haven't gotten into them earlier tbh but im guessing it's mostly because 'pretty fly for a white guy' doesn't make a good ad for the band. Oh and bad habit has been on my frequent rotation for a whillleee now, especially great when driving :)

Reggatta De Blanc by The Police
Jun 01 2025

some very catchy and cool stuff and some is just not quite there yk

Rock 'N Soul by Solomon Burke
Jun 02 2025

what a voice, super smooth and a very pleasant listen!!

Sea Change by Beck
Jun 03 2025

i think he has matured a bit since odelay, but i still cannot like him, one hour of beck is too much beck 2.5/5

Dummy by Portishead
Jun 05 2025

strong contender for the sexiest sounding album. gonna leave it at a 4 for now but im sure a few more listens and it will be up to a 5!

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Jun 06 2025

pretty decent album, much more than what i expected tbh!

Horses by Patti Smith
Jun 07 2025

"Jesus died for somebody's sins, but not mine" hell yeah, what an opener! i think treating it like an experimental poem reading than a normal album does it justice. an icon!!

Liquid Swords by GZA
Jun 08 2025

beats ☑️ samples ☑️ flow ☑️ it's giving 2000s older brother core but also found it a bit too long ngl stays comfortable between a 3.5 and a 4

Blur by Blur
Jun 09 2025

beetlebum and song 2 are so good and the rest of the album is just a....blur

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Jun 10 2025

what a voice, what an atmosphere, love him and still cannot get over the fact and the heartbreak that this is his only album:(

Jun 11 2025

i have mixed feelings about this one... At times it got me thinking; does all Talking Heads songs sound the same? But also every time I got bored the next song pulled me back in, a perfect middle ground i think.

Permission to Land by The Darkness
Jun 12 2025

wdym this album didn't come out in the 80's during peak glam rock era?? good for them tho, respect

Surf's Up by The Beach Boys
Jun 13 2025

enjoyed this very short trip, kinda different from their normal which was nice too see. 3.5/5

Nevermind by Nirvana
Jun 14 2025

If, at the end of our lives we could get to see our stats, for the most played album I am 90% sure this would be it for me. Have been able to recite this album from cover to cover, without skipping a beat, for longer than I can remember now. I can say it with my full chest that Nirvana is the best musical act that came out of 90's, I mean they single handedly killed glam metal, what else could you want from a band? The very definition of an album that deserves all the stars across every rating system ever created. And this 5 star review is not just because Nirvana has my whole heart but also even if you listen to this album from an objective point of view you know that this album fuuuuuckkksssss!!!!!! If you give theeeeeeeee Nevermind a 1-2 (3,4 ehehe) star rating, would recommend getting your head out of your ass, cause you also know this album is absolutely massive, full of hits and an indispensable part of history but you just can't admit because you oh so desperately need to be different, be fr 🙏 Love you my babies, forever grateful that you've put this album out there for us mere mortals to enjoy 🫶

what the fuck

Illmatic by Nas
Jun 17 2025

a great piece of history, gets a very high score of 4.5 for me only because i couldn't warm up to just one song, but who knows maybe with enough time it'll round up to a 5! 4.5/5

Heavy Weather by Weather Report
Jun 18 2025

don't know why it has such a low rating here, yeah it is not groundbreaking but was still an enjoyable listen! 3.5/5

Cross by Justice
Jun 19 2025

for a dance music album didn't find it quite danceable to. Expected more, slightly disappointed, 1-2 good tracks tops. 2.5/5

Spiderland by Slint
Jun 20 2025

wish there were some other word than pretentious I could choose to describe album but yeah it is what it is, tho i actually reallyyy liked the instrumentals, it's just the layering of half singing half, slam poetry reading and the other stuff going on into a mush that makes it pretentious sounding. A three purely due to the instrumentals

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Jun 21 2025

enjoyed the album throughout, energy was high but at least 3 of the songs sound almost the same? would revisit tho. 3.5-4/5

Jun 22 2025

as i opened the album I was greeted by me having liked the first song which I have no recollection of.... Every song is just a bit too similar to one another, did enjoy a few but I think it's a bit too long for what it is. 2.5/5

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Jun 23 2025

i mean it's Duke Ellington, I don't think there's much to say, talented people making music is always enjoyable to listen

Raw Power by The Stooges
Jun 24 2025

hell yeaaaa full energy throughout!!! iconic album!!

The Velvet Underground by The Velvet Underground
Jun 25 2025

a classic, one of their best, always a good listen!

Leftism by Leftfield
Jun 27 2025

not too exciting

Music for the Masses by Depeche Mode
Jun 28 2025

a very cool atmospheric album! could be a four if i keep coming back to it 3.5/5

Superunknown by Soundgarden
Jun 30 2025

Amazing, timeless, classic, brilliant and every other adjective that means great belongs to this album. Every song is just beautifully made and the album contains not a single miss. One of if not the greatest vocalist of the grunge era. "Heaven send Hell away No one sings like you anymore" Rest easy Chris Cornell.

Wild Is The Wind by Nina Simone
Jul 02 2025

my god, her voice!!! my queen, I could listen to her recite a shopping list and would not get bored and on top of that I would get emotional. love her, forever an icon!

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Jul 03 2025

great album throughout, doesn't lose its rhythm and flow. I was surprised to see how much some songs give off 50s vibes tho

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Jul 04 2025

i think elton john is more of a watch his performances instead of just listening to his music kinda guy. good album but he definitely has better ones. 3.5/5

Harvest by Neil Young
Jul 05 2025

I was having a shitty day and this was the album of the day, made me feel a bit calmer, beautifully made album!

A Little Deeper by Ms. Dynamite
Jul 06 2025

it's not a bad album, I actually really liked her voice but I don't see why it is a "must hear" album...

No Other by Gene Clark
Jul 07 2025

after hearing the first one I thought oh great another country album? But then "No Other" came in, and I realised I judged a bit too quickly, actually an interesting album, exceeded my expectations! 3.5/5

Disintegration by The Cure
Jul 08 2025

paired up so well with the stormy weather! also getting sick of being mainstream and putting out an album that would ultimately be their most known album is just the cherry on top.

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd
Jul 11 2025

i get so unbelievably happy when i get generated an album that I've already heard a million times before. Once in a lifetime band, once in a lifetime album. Nothing I can say will suffice, and there is nothing I could say that has not been said a million times before me.

Jul 12 2025

essential brit rock band of the 2000's. This album has been saved in my library for ages now and it doesn't get boring or old or outdated with age!! love them, they haven't put out an album i didn't like yet :]

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Jul 13 2025

very whimsical, very mellow, very enjoyable!

Fragile by Yes
Jul 14 2025

very fun, doesn't get tiring!

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
Jul 15 2025

i mean it's led zeppelin 🙂‍↕️ they manage to blend in many different elements seamlessly, a greaatt album overall but not my favourite from them, that's why it gets a 4 from me. (in other senses it's a 5 tho 🌚)

Jul 16 2025

holy shit all I hear is talking heads. a couple of good stuff but the rest is just meh🤷

Connected by Stereo MC's
Jul 17 2025

they sounded very familiar even though i haven't heard of them before, wasn't a boring album but is it really a must listen?

Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye
Jul 18 2025

I don't think I've ever heard something from Marvin Gaye that wasn't sensual 3.5/5

Lust For Life by Iggy Pop
Jul 19 2025

it's easy to understand why it's called one of if not his best work, one star off due to some verryy questionable lyrics..

Jul 20 2025

Starting with "Take on Me" just rises the expectations too much, the rest of the album also has some nice tunes but doesn't hold up to the starter. "Take on Me" as a single gets a 5 tho! 3.5/5

There's A Riot Goin' On by Sly & The Family Stone
Jul 21 2025

I had higggh expectations from this, was slightly disappointed but still had fun listening! 3.5/5

Natty Dread by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jul 22 2025

yeah man iconic, best of his genre!

Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Jul 24 2025

it's nice to get it generated today I mean even if it weren't I was gonna listen to the same thing anyways and spend the day mourning. Absolute colossal of an album, one that will never get lost in the passage of time. I always said the day Ozzy dies, I die and now I actually feel like a part of me died with him. The word "legend" gets thrown around quite a lot and easily but if there ever was one, it's him. Inventing heavy metal, being an inspiration to literally every other artist I listen to... he achieved things that one can only dream of. Once in a lifetime man, once in a lifetime band. You will be dearly missed Ozzy. Rest easy, prince of darkness.

Jul 27 2025

Aug 06 2025

actually an easy and chill listen, not much to complain about

Little Earthquakes by Tori Amos
Aug 07 2025

The Bends by Radiohead
Aug 08 2025

miserable just like me

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Aug 09 2025

her voice is nice and the ambiance is also there and all but it's just so... monotonous... if I had gotten this on a day where i felt moody maybe it would've gotten a higher rating. 2.5/5

Picture Book by Simply Red
Aug 10 2025
