Van Morrison2 van morrison albums in 3 days? can I just get my favourite morrison instead😩🙏 his songs just all sound the same after some time
2 van morrison albums in 3 days? can I just get my favourite morrison instead😩🙏 his songs just all sound the same after some time
the songs don't stand out on their own imo but altogether they are enjoyable to listen
So fierce, so angsty, so good! Some truly great bass, the album’s values and messages still hold up to date really well.
must've scared the shit out of some parents back in the day eheheheh love it <3 birth of heavy metal yooooooooo!!!!!
Vibed thru most of it, kinda lost me at some points tho(mostly speakerboxx), can tell they were experimenting which is cool but some of them were unfortunately misses. Definitely liked The Love Below more than Speakerboxxx, surprised to see more people prefer Speakerboxxx, but hey different strokes ig…🤷♀️ 3.5/5
Can easily spot who Corgan got influenced by throughout the album. Consists of bangers that were already on my personal rotation and some new ones has surely been added. Great mix of dirtier sounds and mellow tunes, they also did a good job with keeping the quality of the songs consistent.
not many bands can make this good of a comeback after the passing of their frontman. ac/dc delivers exactly what is expected of them. a rock classic, i mean you cannot tell me you never blasted Back in Black on full volume when driving 😮💨😩
very much british, sounds like every other britpop band of that era, nothing new or exciting, idk its just kinda bland… 2.5/5
not a big fan (at all) of country music but this album surprised me pleasantly. love her mellow and smooth voice that goes so well with the natural reverb of the church, i don't think this album could've sounded better if it was recorded in any other way. 3.5/5
I was today years old when i learned Black Magic Woman is originally from Fleetwood Mac. The argument I’m trying to make here is that it belongs to Santana in the same way that “Hurt” belongs to Johnny Cash and not NIN.
its pretty decent for what it is but i think i would’ve enjoyed this one more if i were a british teenager in the 2000’s. Also “Golden Skans” is a banger.
the suspicious looking guy in the trenchcoat who sold me this swore on his mama that this was a 100% legit pixar soundtrack, come to think of it he was walking a bit wobbly... he might've been two kids stacked on top of each other for all i know.....
another country album to get me to change my opinion on country music. Very cozy, can’t complain.
everyone's favourite crazy grandpa, what's there to not like 🤷♀️
been wanting to both read the book and watch the movie for a looong time but due to my procrastination habits I got to listen to the soundtrack first
messy, dirty and raw, proto-punk band that does justice to being a proto-punk band. always amazing and interesting to see the emergence and birth of new genres! 3.5/5
immediately ran to the wiki to see if there's a relation between them and the modern lovers and what do you knooow eheheh same keyboardist. both are bands that i really enjoy listening, both have their own whimsy. Is this their best album? nah but still a very good one!
don’t get me wrong i take literally every single opportunity to shit on dave mustaine but fuuuck does that man know his way around a guitar. marty friedman is also a beast on this album. aliens, religion, comic book refs, warfare as themes... bunch of nerds. other than my deeply rooted annoyance against mustaine there is unfortunately nothing bad about this album (yes im as petty as him). one of the better things in life that was born out of hatred and pettiness.
been listening to him for ages and still think he's very underrated. best to listen to on a slightly cool summer evening 🙂↕️
is it glam metal? ye BUUUT its also Van Halen so its okay 🙂↕️
very eigthies very synthy, unfortunately not much stood out for me
i don't really know how to rate world music but i really enjoyed the instrumentals of a couple of tracks, some very cool sounds in this one
this album fuckkksss, i don't understand why it has such a low rating here, unfair. maybe y'all haven't listened to it loud enough🙂↔️🙂↔️
There was a time in my life when i refused to listen to AIC just bc i felt like id be betraying Nirvana (i know its childish and stupid, i was a stupid naive child ok??? leave me alone 😫) but i realised how dumb i was and fixed my relationship with them super quickly as they are actually fucking great. I don't know if i have the words to describe this album other than it being very bleak and heartbreaking, one can understand what it is about even if they didn't bother reading the lyrics. So devastating that your journey had to end like this Layne, even though you knew how it would end. You truly were one of the greatest voices in grunge, RIP :(
the flows and the samples in this one >>>>>😩😩😩😩
not the most boring nor the most creative thing out there, only two tracks i enjoyed. somewhat repetitive at parts. 2.5/5
just from the album cover and the name ‘Meat Loaf’ I was expecting something like Steve Vai meets Iron Maiden meets early Ozzy, but instead i got a musical. I was questioning how come I’ve never heard of one of the best selling albums given the cover looks just like something that’d be right up my valley…. but alas its a musical…thats why. by no means its boring tho, everything’s so over the top lol how could it be? Three Out of Five Ain’t Bad
ive been a 90 year old gramma since i was 13 so believe me when i say im a bit of an Elvis connoisseur myself 🧐🙂↕️ that being said this is a weak good comeback album, especially by Elvis standards, his earlier works are just sooooo sooo good that this one just can't compete with them and with some of his latter stuff as well....what happened in the army man😔
sometimes you just gotta chill and this a great album for that
impossible not to move 🪩🕺weee🕺aaare🪩 faaaa🕺🪩miiiilyy🕺🪩
i looove Queen so muchhhhh!!!!! one of their best albums imo, Brian May really popped off on this one. I dont have much to say i think, other than ive heard this album oh so many times and it still rocks.
i mean i do not want to be rude but he def became popular just because this was right after Nirvana and record companies decided to give a chance to non-mainstream, alternative, experimental sounds after seeing Nirvana’s huge success. I can understand what he was trying to do here but its just not revolutionary nor exciting, as I already am familiar (and in love) with the sound and tone direction (especially the dirtier and more distorted sounds of the first half) he was trying to go but there exists many bands and singers who had done it way better way earlier that i very much love. dunno what it is (i do) but he just sounds so pretentious and try-hard to be something that he is not. I was just about to write that he gives off rich nepo baby who can care-freely choose the ‘’art student/artist’’ path but decided to check his wiki first for a sec and lol what do u know both his parents’ names are in blue. had to laugh, i love being right🙏
zappa never fails to entertain me, love his weird little antics.
it did a good job as background tunes, some songs felt reeally similar to one another, overall it was an okay album.
really enjoyed this one but couldn’t help but think how i would’ve enjoyed this waaaay more if it had more psychedelic elements. 3.5/5
FUCK YOU COURTNEY AND FUCK THE FACT THAT THIS IS A GREAT ALBUM
2 van morrison albums in 3 days? can I just get my favourite morrison instead😩🙏 his songs just all sound the same after some time
i love a good concept album, it paired up well with my people watching at the park hour🙂↕️ 3.5/5
some really nice and mellow tunes can't complain
being angry is not enough i have to physically punch the person who said they are the second coming of Nirvana. Inspired (heavvviily!!!!!) BY Nirvana? yeah ofc, it's clear as day, bUT SECOND COMING?? get real... now that im done yelling, i actually enjoyed the album 🤭 tho they sound more like an australian radiohead a bit, especially the second half of the album🧐. 3.5/5
what a great album to start the week!! there is a reason this album is hailed as one of the greatest in every list imaginable out there. This is what peak last album looks like. iconic! iconic! icooonic!!!!!!
was a good easy-listening background music
it had it's moments but i think i like their later works better. 3.5/5
its just not the type of music i listen to, great percussion work tho!
they know what they are doing!! another really enjoyable album from Air, a whole vibe
reaally like her voice but some sort of spice is missing also cannot take ‘maps’ seriously bc of fuckass tiktok
pretty decent for a debut album a bit too radio friendly for my taste tho
looove this album, just makes me sad that he got barely any recognition in his own time:(
expected metal from the band name, old school rap from the album title, got delightfully surprised by funky soul 🙂↕️
i mean yeah but only if it wasn't an hour long that felt way more for some reason
the songs don't stand out on their own imo but altogether they are enjoyable to listen
have you seen the length of influence and legacy page of this album??? yea
one of the radiohead albums i was not super familiar with did not disappoint
the album fuses so many things together but it doesnt get boring! Had to look up and check a few times to make sure I was still listening to the same album
was so tempted to give a 5 just for sultans of swing buuut it's just not quite there a very very strong 4 tho 🙂↕️
had not listened to anything other than take me out before I think, the rest of the album sounds exactly how I imagined it'd be, not in a bad way tho 3.5
what a voice to waste on mediocrity whistle tones be banging tho
thought i would enjoy it more than i did based on the whole vibes but yea....
what do y'all know about being 13 and scrolling through tumblr, reblogging b&w aesthetic pictures with this album blasting in the background realistically a 3.5 but a 4 for the nostalgia
some head bops here and there, an easy listen. a solid 3.5
y’all are complaining about a jazz album being experimental??? be fr 4.5/5
im a dad on all levels except physical so ofc i find this album great
very very mild, first half more interesting than the second
mmggmhmmmm yeessss moreee gimme more experimental, more eccentric, more whimsical, more zappaesque stuff yeesss
there was a story to be told and she did it quite well 3.5/5
good overall but is he a bit soulless or what for what hes working with…
works well as bg music 🙂↕️
what can i say i love me some good social criticism
mooore fluuutteee in spite of these haters 😙😙
Expected more psychedelia but why is it more country??? especially for a band that was followed (literally) by hippies on acid all around. There are some other works by them that are waay better than this one imo. 3.5/5
oof this was a heavy one for sure
was about to throw hands for getting yet another lousy country album but whaddaya kno it's actually quite well done
was i able to finish it one go? of course not but i made it through half of it in a day💪🙂↕️ Do i trust her enough to believe that the rest of it will also be great and promise to come back to finish it another day? hell yea love her and her lovely voice <3 would still delightfully listen to her if she just read me a very long grocery list
enjoyed some of it because of some particular beatlesesque melodies
kinda annoying kinda boring kinda meh
i just really don't get the hype for U2 at all, i think there are way too many band that have the same tones, lyrics, music etc that don't get the same type of love U2 gets
some good guitar, nothing too exciting
i don't if it's just because i feel frustrated because i have been getting mid albums but ...
i can hear this album being played on rooftops in the summer
a shame the rest of the album doesnt even come close to the two great hits it contains
not as gay as i hoped itd be but gay enough for me to enjoy 🙂↕️
so called weird sounds and experimental lovers sure run fast the other way when they come into the presence of true weirdo i mean of course i know this one is a total hit or total miss for majority of the listeners but you know at least it evokes emotions and makes you question what you just listened to Also the lyrics slaps, i mean come on; "There will come a time when every evil That we know will be an evil That we can rise above" wish i was stoned af when listening to this...
hell yeah!! exactly what i expect from a live album!!!
why???is???he???soooo????whinyyyy??!!!!!!!! If I were Anna and if I had doubts about the divorce, I would have none by the end of the album
I was gonna also point out how 90s it sounds but then I saw everyone and their mothers were talking about it so I'm gonna point something else out; in the middle of the album it hit me...she sounds like Gayle from Bob's Burgers so i may have stopped taking it seriously at some points This was my first time to actually listen to Alanis Morissette properly and wasn't too disappointed or mind blown 3.5/5 (not on the lower side tho)
FUUUUCKKKKK YEAAAAHHHHHHH ROBERT PLANT MOAN MORE IN MY EARSSSSS
dont know what i was expecting but was super happy with the first half, i wish the rest of the album also had some stronger instrumentals 3.5/5
nice, paired up well with my feeling like shit for no reason at night session
very nostalgic, a classic fo suuure
"Teenage angst has paid off well, now I'm bored and old." A big 'fuck you' from Nirvana to the huge commercial success of "Nevermind" The album that has been with me through my best and worst. No matter what I write, which words I choose to embellish my sentences with or how hard I try to explain, I fear I will never find the right words to even begin to tell the impact this album has had on me. If you've been fighting depression for too long, you know there comes a point when behind all that sadness, that pent-up anger, comes creeping the state of numbness. That's the point where you know you're in the deep end; you cannot feel anything, nothing brings you sadness, anger or frustration, let alone joy. During my lowest, up until the point when I first heard the line "I miss the comfort in being sad," I thought no one had ever nor would ever understand how I felt. Hearing that line felt like receiving the tightest hug filled with so much love and understanding from a great friend. "I miss the comfort in being sad" the exact words I'd wish to come up with to put my abstract feelings into concrete words. At least I was familiar with sadness; that was my natural state, where I felt home emotionally. And when, even sadness was taken away from me, all I could think was how I took it for granted and wished to feel something, even if it was only sorrow. My love for this album doesn't only come from "Frances Farmer", every single song on this album is just so raw and filled with so much emotion that one can bond with the album so quickly over so many great lines and feelings they convey. At least that was the case for me. Been hooked on this album ever since I first heard it and it has been on repeat since. Nirvana and especially Kurt made me the person I am today. They are the reason why I deeply attach to the music and musicians I listen to and have strong opinions about them and their art. Though I'd like to think I am doing better, I will never not keep Kurdt in my thoughts, especially for the way he was always there for the dumb, depressed 13 year old girl who thought life had to end then and there. It makes my heart ache every time I think about the album that I've found a friend in, who has always been there for me every time I needed and brought me such comfort, being their last. What a way to say goodbye Kurdt, still cannot believe you've been gone longer than you've been with us, man. I just wish the person who has brought me so much comfort could also find solace in his life. Miss you so much Kurdt, I always feel like I've lost a very dear friend whom I never got the chance to meet. I hope death is treating you kinder than life ever did. "There is nothing I could say that I haven't thought before" 11/10
now i understand how they made a name for themselves. was really fun listening to it.
i sit 🪑 in my desolate room 🙇 no lights ❌💡no music❌🎶 just anger☑️💢🤬
kinda underwhelming for a cure album
super wholesome but also tugs at your heart strings here and there
and i was thinking i was being too generous with my ratings given the fact that i haven't had a 1 star rating yet amongst the 90 something albums... but hey here you go buddy you deserve this
after the other days catastrophe this felt like a redemption, love kendrick love the album
finally!!!! my fav Morrison!!! love him and the band smmmmmmmm!!!! The line "The future's uncertain and the end is always near" from Roadhouse Blues has been my wp status for almost 8 years now... so yeah i think i do like this album. Only reason it's not a 5 is I would rank their self titled and strange days above this 4.5/5
something something Warhol something something The Velvet Underground something something blah blah blahhhhh Only salvageable song is These Days
broadway x country????? no thanks
great start, great finish, great in between!
Every year i dedicate a whole day to just watch this performance and cry and watch more Nirvana lives and cry a bit more and so on the best mtv unplugged performance of alllllllll time!!!!!!!
was an easy listen but I don't think I will come back to it
concept wise its cool and there are also some nice beats but overall doesnt work that well imo
it's such a heartwarming album, all the songs are so gentle and cosy
fuuuckkk yeaaaaahhhhh my husband everyone!!!!!!!! every single song is an absolute banger, one of the albums i never get sick of listening over and over again, i mean it has ‘the end’ in it, one of my all time favorite songs. And this is a debut album, insane!!! cant praise this one enough, just love it love it love it<33333
enjoyed the messier tracks more, not too captivating tho
very 80’s at ‘79, some hits, some misses, not too memorable tho
I've been obsessed with this album for a few months now and so happy it got generated on a friday!! Still sounds so fresh to this day don't know how they did that but yeah!!!!!
MY QUEENNNN!!!! hit after hit after hit, the very definition of a five star album!!! One of the artists i would give a lot to follow the rest of their career. gone too soon, im sure she would've gone on to do many more amazing stuff, rest well Amy:(
only heard 'venom' from her before, the rest of the album was nice the flow was there and i mostly enjoyed the beats and samples.
