Definitely an album I had heard before and a solid one. It’s been a very long time since I have heard this one in full. The guitar solos took a little while to get used to. I liked reading the making of the album information. It was cool have that insight before this listen to get a better sense for the mix of the classic Metallica songs with the newer more evolved sounds. Song stand outs for me would be Nothing Else Matters and The Unforgiven.
I wasn’t sure if I had heard this whole album or if I had only heard the radio singles. I have a friend who is a big Adele fan and would always play her in his car during road trips. So I have heard this whole album before but I never really sat down and listened to the album in full. Definitely a solid album. Stand outs for me were He Won’t Go and Lovesong
I have heard this one before but it has been a while since I listened to it in full. It is a solid album a total classic. Stand outs for me are Sail To The Moon, Where I End and You Begin and There, There.
I have to say that when I looked up the track list and saw six songs, I thought it was going to be a quick and easy listen. Wow there are some long songs on this thing! It’s not something I would normally seek out but I did enjoy it. It sounds like it could have been very influential to a lot of future artists. It has a great groove to it and an interesting sound. Album stand outs for me would be Where Was You At and the title track The World is a Ghetto.
Another full album that is only six songs. Six long songs. The first couple songs were good. After a while it felt like I was just listening to endless guitar solos. Then a duck going crazy. Overall a pretty interesting album. Not sure if I would listen to it again. Willie the Pimp was probably my favorite song from the album.
I don’t think that I have listened to this full album before. I have heard the singles. It was a nice listen. Seems like a good album to put on as background noise. Overall I liked it but not a favorite.
Not one that I have heard anything about previously. It does seem like it could have ended up being an influential album for some future bands. This one wasn’t a favorite of mine, mostly wasn’t into the singers voice. It did sound like it had potential otherwise.
The Who are actually my Dad’s favorite band. They are pretty good. I didn’t realize that when they play live they tend to play heavier. I really enjoyed it! Album stand outs for me were Young Man Blues and Shakin’ All Over.
I had never heard this one before. I really enjoyed it. It has a very smooth easy listening feel to it. It has a bit of an older feel to it for being released in 2005. Album stand outs for me were Just Like the Rain, Born Under A Bad Sign and Tonight.
Really not a fan of this one.
Very good album. I hadn’t heard this one before. That first super long song really had me all over the place, headbanging then bummed that the headbanging part was over then happy that it came back. Over all it’s a pretty album
A decent album. Kind of sad that it’s a bit homophobic.
A very good album. Bowie is such a great song writer but I’m not a big fan of his voice.
Not something that I would seek out to listen to but I enjoy the vibe of the album.
Decent album. Seems to be somewhat regular rock. The title track of course is the stand out!
Cool album. Has a nice sixties vibe to it.
Very nice album. I really enjoy Birds and Ships a lot!
Good album. Can definitely see how it would be very influential.
Very corny. It was interesting to hear some of the other songs on the album other than the singles.
I love the concept for this album! It has a great Beatles like sound to it. Solid album.
A classic! A really great album worthy of my first 5 of the list.
Kind of disappointed by this album when I bought it back when it came out. Still disappointed kind of disappointed.
I enjoyed this more than I expected to for an album from such a long time ago. It’s actually pretty good and you can see how influential it was for many artists.
It was fun to hear the Jackass theme song but this mostly sounded like the worst song on a Red Hot Chili Peppers album.
Great album! Very happy that I got this one today. You can really hear some of the sounds that inspired Nirvana.
Great album. A little blast from the past.
Really great classic rock 🤘
An amazing album! One that I loved when I first heard it in the 00s and still love now!
It was good. Almost sounded like early Radiohead Thom Yorke.
I haven’t heard this one since I was a kid. I appreciate it more now. It’s a really great one!
It was a pleasant surprise to get a Fever Ray album on this list. I had listened to some of their more recent albums and enjoyed them but hadn’t heard this one before. It’s really good!
I have been told many times that I should check this one out. I’m glad it showed up in the list so that I could finally remember to do it. Great album!
