It's very the Marias; idk why, but I got that feeling.
There are 11 songs; so far I'm on song 6. I wouldn't say there is a sole genre; if it were up to me, I would classify it as indie/alternative. Also, this page says it's electronic, and while I kind of agree, I would specify that it is downtempo, not fast tempo, which is why I find it similar to the Marias.
Right now on song 11, AND I KNOW IT. Glory Box—I've honestly heard it multiple times in edits and stuff like that. I never knew who the artist was until now.
Without making the actual pun I really enjoyed the genuine rawness of the vocals and how you can diferente each instrument.
After I was done listening to it, I was thinking how it kinda reminded me of some songs of David Bowie; and when I was researching the album I found out that Bowie actually helped to produce the album, which made everything more exciting ( I really like David Bowie).
Now I’m more excited to listen to more of The Stooges!
I started this album without a lot of expectations because folk/country music isn't really my forte, but I can tell you after listening to it for a few times I actually enjoyed it.
Yes, it was kind of slow-tempo at times, but the lyricism and the instruments make up for it in those specific songs.
The song I like the most is "Words"; the guitar solo is really magnificent. Just for that, I wish I could play the guitar.
This has nothing to do with the album, but when I was researching Neil Young, I went through his website. And let me tell you, it is AMAZING—the graphics and the way you can interact with each record. Also tit's really beautiful the aesthetic.
Although I don't really know that many songs by Bob Marley, I do know the basics. His voice is great, and his lyrics and the message he is trying to give are even better.
Now reggae isn't by any means a genre I listen to, but it is honestly like a palate cleanser. I feel that it could become music I could listen to on a daily basis. Plus reggae is always nice to listen to.

The first hip-hop album from the generator. I'm no hip-hop expert by any means; really, I just know the basic artists of the genre, so I was really excited to get to know more musicians.
Now about the music, I really love the jazzy vibes and the way they implement the lyrics with the sounds. For example, in "What," "Chill for a minute, Doug E. Fresh said silence (*four second pause)"; that was great to listen to the first time.

I'm in love with the cover art.
The mix of rock, country, and blues is amazing in the album. I would definitely listen to it again.

Love the songs and the cover art.
I had it marked as pop, but I would say it's a mix of rock/pop.
I really enjoyed the lyrics. And I know it's very cliché to say this but it sounds very 80s.

It is in fact very groovy, very the beatles very the beach boys.
The guitar is guitarring.
But i would not listen this constantly.

I knew so many songs on the album, I just never made the connection, so many bangers.
Dad rock at its finest
Also I was so surprised when I heard the CSI MIAMI intro, I didn’t know it was from them!!

I wasn't familiar with CHIC until this listen; I wasnt aware they made "Freak Out."
The way I can pick out the instruments throughout the records is beautiful; I can understand why they loved dancing so much in the 80s.

It’s very whimsical, artsy and it has such an ambience. Also the electronic and that bass guitar are amazing
I feel it could be a great album to study to, because it’s so relaxing.

Awesome album. Such a distinctive sound, both musically and vocally. Dancing in the moonlight is the best song amongst many great songs.

This is the second album that I listen to from The Who, and it is very different if I were to compare them both.
I did like the instrumental in all the songs, but not all of them are bangers

I listened to this once just to hear the instruments, and I really enjoyed it, but when I listened to it the second time for the lyrics, I was very surprised.
Though the lyrics are very controversial, I read it with Genius, the music is kinda good.

Love it, makes me want to dance, and I bet you this would've been super fun to see live.

The pace, the horns, the voice: They're all so close to perfect!!!

It’s soo good. The instrumentals are great and I really enjoyed Kendrick’s lyrics.

Surpringly amazing album. Love the feeling of the music. Instruments are independent but work well together. Subtle in parts but very balanced.
Also as I was listening to her, I recognized her voice but I didn’t know from where. And then when I got to “Where you lead” I realized it’s the intro song of Girlmore Girl, which I adore!!

I wouldn't call myself a Killers fan, since I wasn't aware I knew that many songs from this album.
But it was certainly an amazing listen.

Southern rock, the exact proportion of which varies. I like the rock parts more, though I'm not against a slide guitar solo. But I really enjoyed this album

I feel like I can understand the importance of this album in terms of shaping the perception of sampling in modern music, but that doesn’t mean that I enjoy it very much, or that I would listen to this on a daily basis.

I love everything on this album for the instrumental to the cover album

I haven’t had much experience listening to country but honestly this album was a really good introduction.

I’m very familiar with Elvis Presley, but I’ve never listened to a whole album of his music.
There’s lots to enjoy here from Elvis. though it does not have the out and out raw energy, swagger, and urgency of his best 50s stuff, there’s still heaps of style.

SZA’s got a great voice, and these are cool, chill jams.

I had not heard of them before this album came up here for me. Very impressive. Super-tight and musical for a "punk" band.
