Great album with many classics. The live versions are repetitive and make the album way too long but are still fun additions. Filled with bangers, definitely one of my favorite Who albums.
very chill, songs flow into each other so nicely. Short and sweet
Brutal listen, not my genre but it’s so repetitive and nothing is remotely catchy. Don’t see myself revisiting either the whole album or even any one individual song. 🚮
Quite boring but I can appreciate the musicianship in the tracks. Album is at least listenable. I won’t be revisiting any of these songs, too folky for me. Lead singer has a decent voice too. Despite the sleepy and uninteresting lyrics I’ll bump it up one from 2/5.
Fun, upbeat album. Lost to Love was the standout for me. 3.4/5 but I’ll round up just for Lust to Love.
Long live FUNK! Funky, groovy, and gritty. There are some awesome guitar licks, catchy melodies, every track has something to offer. Definitely will be re-listening and will be looking for it on vinyl as it’s only downside is that this album isn’t available almost anywhere due to copyright issues.
Tough listen on this one. So brit rock sounding (its australiam) but just misses the mark. As a wise woman once said “the stones and the kinks but 10 years too late”. Zero tracks saved. It also repeats a lot of songs.
Fantastic album with a slew of hits you’ll probably recognize. Great production and vocals. Will definitely be listening again. Staples like Knights of Cydonia, Supermassive Black Hole, and Starlight. Hits.
Rock album with clear dance music influences that makes for some unique sounds. Nothing outstanding but a decent listen nonetheless.
Excellent album with a lot of diversity to the sound of the songs. Hard to get tired of her voice. Obvious banger is Heads Will Roll. Nice switch up with the acoustic versions at the end as well.
Actually turned out to be a pretty good album, would listen back to a few songs. Great voice, fun melodies and riffs
House beats, nothing outstanding. Ok as background noise
Excellent, very well produced album. Harry has an incredible sultry voice, would definitely listen thru again
Themes of war and a man longing for his homeland, great riffs and great tunes. I understand the hype for this band outside the well known main hits everyone knows.
pretty good, never heard of them before. Not a very risky album but a nice listen
Fantastic album, classic stones sound. Will listen thru again. Was cool to hear the not mega hits.
Vocals sound like they’re recorded on a microwave. Not horrific but definitely not great
Incredible vocals, honestly some real hits not just Drive. Good album
Big boy mosh pit music. Some real bangers, some are just okay but all are very high energy, makes ya wanna MOSH
Chill and vibey but not sure I fully get the hype
Honestly a lot of bangers, great beats. Good listen. Some hits. Knew some of their stuff already but makes me wanna check out more.
It’s a jazz album. Chill background music. Not much for me to compare it too so I’ll give it a neutral score.
So many classic bangers. I mean cmon its metallica
This feels like it’s TRYING to piss you off, and I kind of love it. It’s chaotic and super weird and interesting and a bit scary. I love that it’s NOT for everyone and yet still has a beating heart to it. Will be great to torture friends with in the car.
Really nice listen. Jazzy folky classical and blues
I get it, it’s about the lyrics and the meaning is deeply profound written and recorded in his house shortly before his death as a sort of farewell and acceptance of his passing. Coulda been an email.
its just ok. Ironically, lacking soul
I have a headache now lol
Gritty, raw garage rock with the iconic Seven Nation Army. Real good songwriting.
Genuinely awful. Psychedelic rock, her voice isn’t bad at all but the production is absolutely dog shit
Iconic album. Tremendous.
It’s elvis, definitely a nice listen. Suspicious minds! 3.5
Decent but definitely not a must hear before you die
4.5 I genuinely really liked this album. Bright poppy guitar nice indie pop band
Feels really well produced to me and I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. Catchy hooks, seems to be a bit all over the place and some of the sounds are kinda epic/movie sounding. Fun listen 4.5
I don’t know the first thing about jazz but good god this is an absolute MASTERPIECE. This is true art.
A genre defining gold mine of guitar and sick prog funk beats. Need this on vinyl. So so good
It’s over rover, let Jimi take over! All Along the Watchtower is king here but the whole album is great, for sure a bit jammy, but god damn he’s one of the absolute greats of guitar playing.
4.5 Super fun britpop high energy. While the album cover is absolutely atrocious, the music is jammin
I hated this, even her best songs are pretty ass despite her voice being nice
SUUUUPER chill jams, genuinely relaxing. Even the 20 min jam sesh is a nice listen
Such a sultry voice, amazing tracks. Making me depressed lol
A bit long but tells a story that enthralled me and the production is WAY better than I expected.
3.6 hard carried by Sex on Fire and Use Somebody
Yeaaaaaah boiiiiii, absolutely atrocious production. It’s just not that good, not sure how people like this. Was cool hearing where the sample comes from in Show ‘Em Whatcha Got, only reason I’m rounding this 1.1 to a 2
Angry french man over the sounds of a blender with a brick in it. Miserable to listen to
Easily one of the greatest albums of all time, this 60s rock album is truly a must listen. It’s such a criminally underrated album, the harmonies are amazing. I love Colin. Their story is also insane, with the album initially flopping and the band breaking up, and then a fake Zombies took their place, they were robbed of payments from huge shows, and never got the attention they deserved in their hay day. Go watch their documentary/movie, it’s very very well made and interesting as hell, it’s a real rollercoaster of a story. So many hits on this album including Time of the Season and Care of Cell 44. Incredible.
Genuinely horrific songwriting AND his voice is awful. If you put all that aside, everything else is also bad.
Gotta be one of the best and most influential hip hop albums of all time. Bars.
Amazing story telling and flow, with good beats. Really smooth. 4.5
Extremely boring with zero redeeming qualities, and his voice isn’t that great?? 1.5
Yet another mediocre depressed British man album. 1001 albums you have to hear before you die? Go fuck yourself, this is so mid. But congratulations now I’ve heard it, and I’ve been played. It’s like okay at best. Muddy rock noise heavy, repetitive, definitely skippable.
Not bad! Kinda carried by Hungry Like the Wolf
Meh. Finished and instantly forgot all about it, instantly forgettable.
Super chill, nice easy listen.
Can I understand any of the words? No! Does it matter? No! But lemme tell ya, great vibes and her voice is amazing. This is the kind of music discovery I was hoping for on this site.
Frankie is as smooth as butter, but butter doesn’t go on everything.
Unapologetically New York sounding, this is the Beastie’s best album. The INSANE level of innovative sampling is unbeatable, and has lots of fantastic lyricism. Could be slimmed down a lot however.
Some albums you hear, and just know they were influential as hell. His voice isn’t the strongest and it doesn’t matter! His voice blends so well with the music. Also what is this genre, it’s like if funk was in a square ass school uniform. No skips.
Honestly one of the most creative hip hop albums imo. This has lots of catchy and creative rhymes and the beats are so insanely creative it almost listens like an electronic album is some parts. Highly recommend.
Soothing and warm sounding, beautiful vocals 4.5
Found myself tapping along, pretty great for a live album. Some might argue it would be better as a studio album but this feels very raw and real and makes me wish I was there. Amazing jazz singer.
I don’t dislike the cure but this dark depressive album genuinely sucks. So goth, like chill out. The production is also just incredibly boring. Last and titular track is completely unlistenable. Great to listen to when you wanna kill yourself.
impressive amount of hits for a debut album
Joyous acoustic jammers. Wild World and Father and Son hits. 4.5
3.3 plenty are bops some are kinda not it but not bad
Atmospheric mostly instrumental, maybe I do hate the Cure. However, some of the instrumentals are haunting and somewhat listenable.
Iconic album, so many bangers. High energy. And yes they’re horny.
Genuinely what the fuck is that off key piano solo. It’s all like ok not great
Kinda vibey as background music lowkey
honestly the guitar is cool and crisp but Rod’s vocals are more distracting than they are adding any value
Very easy listen, finally a great brit rock album and a debut one at that! Catchy stuff
3.7, doesn’t quite earn the 4 for me but has some unique sounds and beats. For sure not for everyone but this is solid, especially for a debut album.
What an incredible album. Funky and gritty guitar solos with Janis Joplin’s gravelly voice fronting, just works so damn well. It’s pseudo live jawn and overall just raw, soulful, and electric. Amazing.
abrasive, snarling, and angry
Good vibes! Funky motown action
Honestly probably SO fun live but man despite being an influential punk album, this just does not hold up. Old but mold. Can’t understand any of the lyrics, and that’s ok its thrashy and raw but it’s just hard to listen through, not entertaining.
This album is the BEST… at being boring. Man even the highest highs of this album was at best a small hill. Jesus, Etc. is alright
So smooooooooth, dreamy smooth vocals, sexy smooth sax
So slick! Honestly took me by surprise, this is incredible. Glam-rock but better than Bowie. There, I said it. It just works.
Ok I was really really expecting to hate this album because punk ain’t really my thing but holy shit was I surprised by this one. Would be so fun to hear live. The jams.
Right Here Right Now, The Rockefeller Skank, and Praise You are SO unbelievably iconic it gives me chills. The album is masterfully infectious and makes me wanna DANCE. It’s such a pure taste of house music. Not all the tracks are great like Fucking in Heaven is actually ass. I love the 90s. This album fucks. 4.6
3.7 really cool and smooth, her lyrics are probly pretty deep and meaningful but I wasn’t paying enough attention. Still a nice listen
Boring AND cant sing? Holy mediocre 1.3
Man this is what this site all about, insane finds like this. So SO good, super high energy. Awesome jams, super catchy, will be listening again!
Bright punchy post punk, not really my style but I can totally appreciate it for what it is
Kinda annoying. 2 is generous but its semi listenable
I’m not sure I truly get it but I definitely appreciate the musicianship, I can feel how genuinely masterful this is although at times it feels like random playing (a me issue)
Weird and fun! A few bops. Extremely 70s sounding.
Catchy and smooth, I am a fan of Simon’s voice. Now… Cars are Cars actively made me wanna blow my brains out. Genuinely what the fuck. Other than that I kinda love that the album never takes itself too seriously.
Genuinely ass. Get some meat on your bones. The only redeeming song was Well I Wonder. 1
