This was my first full listen and I quite enjoyed the vibe of the album especially with that awesome saxophone. Definitely would listen to again and want to own a vinyl record of it in the future.
Favorite Track: Can't You Hear Me Knocking
Least Favorite Track: You Gotta Move
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Surprised I had not listened to this before as I have been really getting into New Wave. I love an album that feels written by a robot. Each song contributed to the overall vibe and none felt out of place. It is hard for me to pick a least favorite, but I guess I would go with Airlane simply because it lacks Gary Numan's distinct vocals, but it was still a great opening instrumental track. Felt like the overture for the album. Will definitely listen to again and one day I hope to own it on vinyl.
Favorite Track: Conversation
Least Favorite Track: Airlane
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Another first time listen and I knew none of the songs going in. I'm not the hugest Queen fan, but I like them and found this to be a pretty solid early effort by them. Definitely heavier than expected at places reminding me more of Led Zeppelin or Black Sabbath than Queen. I would like to own this one day, but I'm not rushing to get it either.
Favorite Track - Ogre Battle
Least Favorite Track - White Queen (As It Began)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
First time listening to a full Earth, Wind and Fire album and I quite enjoyed it. Kept a funky groove throughout.
Favorite track - Shining Star
Least Favorite Track - All About Love (First Impression)

What can I say about The Wall that hasn't already been said? I've been familiar with this album for many years now, it was my first exposure to the idea of a Rock opera and man it is an epic one. So many iconic songs full of great guitar solos. For an album that is an hour and 20 minutes, it is really well paced and not as fatiguing as other double albums. Listened to this one on vinyl as it was one of the first albums I bought. I listen to this record fairly regularly (last time I listened it was only a little over a week ago), but it still manages to always create a memorable experience. There are some songs that feel more like filler or transitional, but that doesn't take away from the experience for me.
Favorite track - Mother (This was hard to pick and I shuffled through like 6 other choices)
Least Favorite track - Bring The Boys Back Home
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Been meaning to listen to this one for a while now and I quite enjoyed it. I already really liked You Oughta Know and Hand In My Pocket, but the rest of the album is also solid.
Favorite track - Hands in My Pocket
Least Favorite Track - Perfect
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This album has held a special place in my heart for a long time now. It was one of the first albums to get me into music in general. This high energy punk rock opera is well paced for a double album. So many great and iconic songs on one album.
Favorite Track - Jesus of Suburbia
Least Favorite Track - Whatsername
I needed a trigger warning for this I did not expect the pedo president to be name dropped in the intro. I went in with an open mind, but this absolutely was not my thing. None of the songs really stood out to me and I don't see myself ever revisiting them. However, I recognize why people like this and why it is important; it's just not for me. Not a painful listen, but not a memorable one either. Also when half the songs start by saying they are a Missy Elliott exclusive, it makes them seem less exclusive.
Favorite Track - Back in the Day
Least Favorite Track - Pussycat
⭐️⭐️
Not really my thing, but I could see Sonic Youth growing on me as it had similarities to other music I like. I at least found Cotton Crown to be an enjoyable song and could see myself revisting it
Favorite Track - Cotton Crown
Least Favorite Track - Master-Dik
⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had never heard of Joan Armatrading before starting this project and overall I enjoyed parts of this album while not caring for parts. Whenever the instrumentals got psychedelic, I was digging it. Joan's voice was not my favorite, so the slower pieces where the vocals take the forefront were the weakest points for me personally. I'm not rushing to relisten, but I could see myself coming back to this and giving it another chance. I could also see myself picking this up on vinyl since it's fairly cheap and sometimes I appreciate music more on my record player.
Favorite track - People
Least Favorite Track - Save Me
I can be a fan of punk rock and I liked parts of this record while some of it was just not quite my taste. The album starts really strong with Frightened, but unfortunately none of the other songs are as strong as the opening track. I almost rated this a 4, but it falls just below it like a 3.8. I could see this album/band growing on me in the future and could be benefitted by repeat listens.
Favorite Track - Frightened
Least Favorite Track - Crap Rap 2/Like to Blow (I could have put the title track here, but that feels unfair since it is not really a song and more of a 50 second transition between songs)
⭐️⭐️⭐️
I was surprised this had such a low rating, but hey it's not for everybody. Personally, I really enjoyed the Medieval sound; great Renaissance fair music. Would definitely pick up this record if I come across it for cheap.
Favorite Track - Springtime Promises
Least favorite track - Lyke-Wake Dirge
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Loved this funky soundtrack. I watched Shaft years ago, but don't remember much of the plot, but I don't remember adoring Isaac Haye's soundtrack.
Favorite Track - Theme From Shaft
Least Favorite Track - Bumpy's Lament
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I found this album to be a lot more conceptually interesting than I found it to be musically interesting. I acknowledge Ray Charles is a talented artist, but this was just not thing. The tempo was just too slow on most songs for my taste. I'll be interested to hear another Ray Charles album that is not just covers of a genre I already don't like. I don't ever see myself revisiting any of these songs, but listening was still an interesting experience. Also if you want to hear a blind black man sing both "I'll be your slave" and "I was once blind, but now I see" this is the album for you.
Favorite Track - Bye Bye Love
Least Favorite Track - You Don't Know Me
⭐️⭐️
This album was solidly good. Nothing stuck out to me as a masterpiece, but none of the songs were bad either. I could see the songs growing on me more with repeat listens.
Favorite Track - Parker's Band
Least Favorite Track - Charlie Freak

Pretty good blend of psych and folk. Would definitely listen to this one again
Favorite Track - A House is Not a Motel
Least Favorite Track - Old Man

I have never understood the appeal of Adele and now that I have listened to a whole album by her, I understand it even less. She might be a talented singer, but I simply do not like her voice. This album felt like the saltines of music; utterly bland. It felt like the songs kept one upping each other to be my least favorite. The only track I kind of liked was the last song, but I would have liked it more with a different singer. Either way I won't listen to this again besides when the radio at work forces me to suffer through the singles.
Favorite Track - Sweetest Devotion
Least Favorite Track - All I Ask
⭐️
It was alright, a perfect 3 star album. Nothing amazing, but I enjoyed listening to it. I don't think I will re-listen to this one though because I would rather listen to Bleach by Nirvana or The White Stripes debut that I feel have a similar vibe. This is probably the favorite band of one of the book editors.
Favorite Track - Party the Baby Off
Least Favorite Track - Meatmaker
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Well good to know that I am not a Neil Young fan. The first half was unbearable, I hate slow acoustic songs especially with Neil's voice that I do not like. The second half was better, but not enough to save it. Won't be listening again.
Favorite Track- Sedan Delivery
Least Favorite Track - Thrashers
⭐️⭐️
I will start this by saying I have never been a huge Elvis fan and audible sighed when this popped up, but I decided to go into this open-minded. I really enjoyed the opening track and it made me think "Huh maybe this won't be as bad as I suspect" and then the rest of the album happens that consist mainly of slow ballads (my least favorite type of song). Still compared to the Adele and Neil Young I had to listen to earlier this week, I liked this album more than those. I also liked the iconic In The Ghetto and was a good end to the album. This album had really good bookends (the first and final tracks), but that boring middle brings it down. Also the tracks I liked still weren't anything amazing. Probably won't listen to this again, but I could see myself revisting Wearin' That Loved On Look again. Overall, I didn't hate it as much as expected, but didn't really like it either.
Favorite Track - Wearin' That Loved On Look
Least Favorite Track - I'll Hold You in My Heart (Till I Can Hold You in My Arms)
⭐️⭐️
This is definitely not The Beatle's at their best, but it's still The Beatles so it is still pretty good. This is clearly a band who is still finding their footing, but the talent is there. A lot of the best songs on here are covers, but The Beatles do a good job of making the songs their own. The album is pretty short just over a half hour long, but packs in 14 songs so they are quick and punchy. Nothing overstays it's welcome. An enjoyable listen, I was so happy to pull a Beatles album after some lackluster albums the last few days.
Favorite Track - Please Mr. Postman
Least Favorite Track - You Really Got A Hold On Me
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This album sounds like it is trying to annoy me which is most apparent on the final track Foddestompf which just sounds like a bunch of British Muppets yelling at you. Did not really enjoy this and would not listen to again. The British bias hits again.
Favorite Track - Public Image
Least Favorite Track - Fodderstompf
⭐️⭐️
I'm not really a r&b fan, but didn't hate listening to this. I thought I would like this more honestly because I'm a big fan of Kill Bill by SZA, but nothing on this album struck me like that song did. Pretty middle of the road overall, nothing stood out as either really good or really bad. I originally had this on my vinyl want list, but after giving it a full listen I took it off as I don't see myself resisting this album regularly.
Favorite Track - Go Gina
Least Favorite Track - Love Galore
⭐️⭐️⭐️
I've never listened to Amy Winehouse, so I didn't really know what to expect, but I ended up liking it more than I thought I would especially the opening track. I like how Amy is both a conventionally talented singer, but also still has an interesting and distinctive voice.
Favorite Track - Rehab
Least Favorite Track - Me & Mr Jones
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Well this has been my favorite hip hop album so far even if it is a bit rough around the edges. I really enjoyed the beats and flow on most of the tracks, but the lyrics definitely made me uncomfortable at times especially the transphobic verse in Oh Shit which otherwise would be a good song. I think I might also like these songs more on an individual basis as listening to them for an hour is a bit tiring and repetitive. A lot of the songs could have been a minute or two shorter and the album overall could have have been like 10 minutes shorter. Lots of filler in this one. I liked the influence of jazz and funk that made the music stand out.
Favorite Track - Otha Fish
Least Favorite Track - It's Jiggaboo Time (I know it's just a skit, but I felt real awkward listening to this at work as a white person)
⭐️⭐️⭐️
I almost gave this 4 stars because there are parts are I really liked about it, but as an overall album experience, it wasn't my favorite and I don't see myself revisting this album in full. Still some really good songs in this and I look forward to seeing how Peter Gabriel evolves in later albums.
Favorite Track - Down the Dolce Vita
Least Favorite Track - Excuse Me
⭐️⭐️⭐️
If this album stopped after side one, I probably would have enjoyed it a lot more. I was really vibing to The Raven side and then the album does a 180 and has a whole country/Bluegrass side that I did not enjoy. Side 3 and 4 kind of blended together and both were just alright.

I've seen this album cover countless times before, it always caught my attention because of the cute cat. After listening to it, I enjoyed the overall vibe with a few stand-out tracks and other tracks that were just okay. I'm sure I will own a record of this eventually.
Favorite Track - I Feel The Earth Move
Least Favorite Track - Way Over Yonder

Absolutely hate Tom Wait's voice, it really takes away any enjoyment I might have from the instrumental. I get what he was going for, but just not my thing. Maybe I would like this more if it were Halloween. I always end up not liking artist with several albums in this challenge, so until we meet again Tom Waits.
Favorite Track - Singapore
Least Favorite Track - Blind Love

Not a fan of NuMetal. Not something I would choose to listen to myself. I cant really think of specific bad things, but also I can't think of anything good. My favorite song is the first track I guess just because I had more tolerance for them then.

Least Favorite Track - Stellar

I was unsure about this album in the beginning, but the sound grew on me the further I got into it. Nothing I am rushing to revisit, but it was not a bad listen.
Favorite Track - The Way Young Lovers Do
Least Favorite Track - Besides You

Heck Yeah, glad to have found another 5 star album for me personally. I love psychedelic rock. It was hard to pick a favorite song because I loved them all so much. Definitely will give this repeat listens especially since it is on the shorter side at only a half hour.
Favorite Track - C.T.A.
Least Favorite Track - Mind Gardens
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hip Hop is pretty hit or miss for me, but this album was solely on the hit side. I have been a fan of Andre 3000 and Outkast in the past, but never really explored them outside their biggest hits. I have been recently obsessed with P-Funk and I clocked the influence as soon as the intro played. Andre 3000 is a well-rounded musician making hip hop music rather than a solely hip hop artist. For a double LP the album did a good job of keeping me engaged for the runtime. There are a lot of interludes; but they are so short that they do not take away from the album and act as a nice breaks in-between songs the Pre-Nump interlude especially got a laugh from me. Will definitely listen to this one again in the future.
Favorite Track - Ms. Jackson
Least Favorite Track - Snappin' & Trappin'
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I liked listening to this one, Jay-Z has a good and consistent flow. I almost gave this 4 stars because it is a solid production, but decided to bump it back down to 3 because I don't see myself wanting to relisten.
Favorite Track - Izzo (H.O.V.A.)
Least Favorite Track - Hola'Hovito
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great album! I'm a huge Bowie fan, but still making my way around Bowie's satellite artist. Bowie's DNA is all over this album, but Iggy Pop brings the material to life with his performance. This is an album I will definitely revist. Nearly a 5 star, but I'm going to keep it at a 4 for now although I could certainly see this growing into a 5 star album for me.
Favorite Track - Sister Midnight
Least Favorite Track - China Girl (simply cause I like Bowie's version more)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Never heard of these guys before, but overall an enjoyable listen. I don't see myself obsessing over this album, but I think I would give it some re-listens.
Favorite Track - Waterfall
Least Favorite Track - Elizabeth My Dear

Certainly an interesting and unique album from what I usually listen too. Overall though trip hop is not really my thing (at least based on this album I didn't know trip hop was a subgenre til today). I liked the reggae influence on some of the tracks, but probably would prefer listening to regular reggae. The songs were alright, but nothing really stood out too me too much.
Favorite Track - Safe From Harm
Least Favorite Track - Five Man Army
⭐️⭐️⭐️
I like the vibe of the Carpenters, some of the slower songs lost me, but Karen's voice is still amazing and carries the album.
Favorite Track - We've Only Just Begun
Least Favorite Track - Crescent Noon
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Such a great album acting as a cornerstone for the psychedelic rock genre. Janis Joplin obviously has an amazing voice with so much force behind every lyric. I'll already own this album and listen to it fairly regularly, but it was to revisit today as it had been awhile. The only downside of this album is the cover art which has multiple depictions of black face and while I don't think it was designed with malice (most likely it is satire), but that doesn't change the fact it is uncomfortable. I usually flip the cover to the picture of Janis of the back when I spin it.
Favorite Track - Piece of My Heart
Least Favorite Track - Turtle Blues
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really enjoyed listening to this album. I nearly gave it 5 stars, but some of the tracks were weaker among really good songs. This is an album that had already been on my radar, but I hadn't taken the time to give a full listen yet. Will be buying on vinyl soon.
Favorite Track - Time of The Season
Least Favorite Track - A Rose For Emily
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I'm usually a fan of New Wave, but this album was just alright. Nothing bad, nothing spectacular; it sits right in the middle. I won't be rushing to listen to more Simple Minds, but not mad I listened to this either. Tomorrow is Easter so the coverart is very in season.
Favorite Track - Promised You a Miracle
Least Favorite Track - Big Sleep

I love The Kinks and was happy to get this album to be. I wasn't very familiar with this album besides Sunny Afternoon, but I enjoyed all the tracks and it was a nice morning listen.
Favorite Track - Sunny Afternoon
Least Favorite Track - Rainy Day in June

I absolutely love Arctic Monkeys and their debut is one of their strongest albums. There is not a bad song on here. I first got into Arctic Monkeys because they were very popular on Tumblr back in the day, so I was like why not I'll try them out. I downloaded You Probably Couldn't See For the Lights But You Were Staring Straight At Me off a free music download app back when my phone could hold like 30 songs total at a time. The song immediately hooked my teenage self and I became obsessed with Arctic Monkeys. I had heard all the songs off this album many times, but this was actually the first time I gave the album a full listen and it made me realize just how strong the tracklist is. This was the Arctic Monkeys at their heaviest and it still holds up great today.
Favorite Track - A Certain Romance
Least Favorite Track - Dancing Shoes
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
TIL that Jeff Beck and Beck are two completely different artist that I thought was the same the guy forever. This was a fun listen, like Led Zeppelin before Led Zeppelin. Really great guitar work by Jeff Beck. Super ahead of it's time, this album does not sound like it was made in 1968. Not all the tracks hit, but the ones that do really hit.
Favorite Track - Morning Dew
Least Favorite Track - Old Man River
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What if we made the world's longest album with the world's shortest songs? There is a lot of good in here, but man is this album overly bloated. It's okay to make cuts guy, not every song needs to make the album. I mean was 40 seconds of car noises necessary at the end of the album? Still really good guitar throughout the album. The vocals were very hit or miss with me.
Favorite Track - My Heart and the Real World
Least Favorite Track - You Need The Glory
⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a lesson in not judging a book by it's cover. When I first pulled this and saw it was R&B, I thought it was going to be something I don't like that will be a chore to get through, but I actually enjoyed it a lot. This is very much on the funk side of R&B and I have been really getting into funk recently.
Favorite Track - African Dance
Least Favorite Track - Feeling Free
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Easiest five star ever. Just an amazing album front to back. This was the first vinyl record that I bought. I bought this before I officially had a record player. It's so hard to pick a favorite song since each one stands out in its own way. Jimi Hendrix is obviously a musical genius ahead of his time, but I think Mitch Mitchells and Noel Redding don't get enough credit, their rhythm gives Jimi the space to be explosive)
Favorite Track - Third Stone From The Sun. (Runner-ups: Love or Confusion, The Wind Cries Mary, Purple Haze)
Least Favorite Track - I Don't Live Today (I still really like this song.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Really solid album throughout, I'd say all of the songs are good in their own way. I've always liked REM, but really only knew them for their hits; two of which are featured on this album. Strange was my favorite new song that I heard by them by listening to this.
Favorite Track - The One I Love
Least Favorite Track - Oddfellows Local 151
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Conceptually I found this album very interesting. I find that a lot of people try to view this album from a modern perspective, but I think context of the time is very important for a piece like this. Women's rights in 1967 still had a long way to go, women couldn't easily get divorced and couldn't even open up there own bank account. Modern listeners question why she doesn't just leave his toxic ass, but it really was not that simple for a woman in the 60s. This album is a radical feminist statement for it's era giving a voice to the voiceless woman stuck in abusive marriages. With all that said, musically I did not care for this. It was alright for country standards, but I am in no way a country fan. Country from a male perspective could easily get 1 star. It would be interesting to see this album reworked in a Riot Grrl style, keeping the feminist message, but upping the energy. My biggest complaint is that a lot of the songs sound exactly the same.
Favorite Track - Get What 'Cha Got And Go
Least Favorite Track - I Really Don't Want To Know (or one of the other songs that sounds exactly like this one)
⭐️⭐️
I have always liked CCR, but I never really delved deeper into them beyond their hits and boy was I missing out. I expected this to be a four star album, but the more I listened the more I realized I couldn't think of a single flaw. A strong album front to back with a distinct sound.
Favorite Track - Run Through the Jungle
Least Favorite Track - Ooby Dooby (still a good song, but goofy lyrics)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really enjoyed the first track, but then I found the rest of the album to be pretty mid. I did not hate listening to it, but it didn't wow me at any point either.
Favorite Track - Girls & Boys
Least Favorite Track - The Debt Collector
⭐️⭐️⭐️
The opening title track has an undeniable energy and power. I use to love this song growing up, but since listening to a lot less metal than I use too I haven't heard it in years. Glad to know that it still holds up. The rest of the album is not as good as the opening track, but the album keeps a similar energy throughout. Sometimes I can feel fatigued from listening to metal for too long, so I was glad this album was only 36 minutes long. I feel like Lemmy's voice works perfectly for Ace of Spades, but can be less fitting for other songs and the lyrics can be quite weak especially having a song called Jailbait that is just as gross as it sounds.
Favorite Track - Ace of Spades
Least Favorite Track - Jailbait
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I recognize that Kate Bush is very talented, but this was not really my thing. A lot of the songs were just too slow for me to get into and a lot of them sounded too similar. Running Up That Hill is a pretty good song, but I work in a grocery store that has overplayed it since Stranger Things. I also liked The Big Sky and Jig of Life. Every other song I was very meh about. I mean my favorite is Jig of Life which is completely different from anything else on the album. I just really dig Celtic music. Overall, not bad, but not going to replaying.
Favorite Track - Jig of Life
Least Favorite Track - Waking the Witch
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Solid album with nice elements of funk and soul. It's hard not to compare it to the other Blaxploitation soundtrack album I already got, Shaft. While I liked Shaft more than this one, they still had a similar vibe. This one does have less filler than Shaft as it is not a double LP. Won't hunt for this, but if I came across it for cheap, I'd probably pick it it up.
Favorite Track - Superfly
Least Favorite Track - Think (Instrumental)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Another bland Britpop. The music is alright, but it had absolutely no impact on me. I can barely remember a thing about this album right after finishing it
Favorite Track - With No Shoes
Least Favorite Track - Rob's Theme

This album is exactly the kind of thing I would hope to find from competing this list. Completely chaotic free jazz that can be quite listenable once you embrace the chaos. Totally get why this one gets loads of One Star reviews, but I had a great time listening to this!
Favorite Track - Feet Music
Least Favorite Track - Good Old Days

This was a solid album overall. Never really explored Smashing Pumpkins outside their hits; they're other songs are quality, but the hits are still the highlight.
Favorite Track - Cherub Rock

This is exactly what I would expect a Penguin Cafe would sound like that. Very interesting compositions that are both experimental and highly listenable. No surprise here that Brian Eno was a major producer on this.
Favorite Track - Penguin Cafe Single
Least Favorite Track - Zopf: In a Sydney Motel

Pretty good Stones album. Not all the songs were winners, but still an enjoyable listen overall. Paint It Black would have been my favorite Track, but I listened to the UK version so I will not count it.
Favorite Track - Mother's Little Helper
Least Favorite Track - Lady Jane

My most surprising 5 star album, but ai just really digged this. The sound was so unique, it was refreshing to hear something so different. I'm not a big country person, but if there is one thing I appreciate from the genre is the fiddle and this is basically a punk album with some fiddle.
Favorite Track - Hard to be Human Again
Least Favorite Track - Trouble Down South

Amazing album. My first time full listen, but I have heard many of the songs before, but they work really well as a whole album. Prince is one of those artist I am meaning to listen to more of. I'm sure this album will get repeat listens and I will probably buy a record of it soon.
Favorite Track - Let's Get Crazy
Least Favorite Track - The Beautiful Ones
