Holy God, that guitar solo! Hendrix-esque cosmic blues that goes on forever and ever. Would easily rank #1 favorite if it were only spoken word poetry followed by a 15 minute Eddie Hazel solo, over and over, on a triple album.

I've never liked Blonde on Blonde, he drank too much of his own bathwater by this point.

Ogre Battle is great.

Malibu is a great Sheryl Crow song. And Courtney Love's voice is powerful and gritty. But of all the alternative albums, why is this one on the list?!

The novelty of Johnny Cash covering modern songs wore off 20 years ago.

I love Lady Day but have never liked this album. Her voice is gone, the orchestral swell attempts to cover and carry it all forward. The album on the whole feels like death tourism.

Bowie in full Gonzo mode, Where Are We Now is one of my favorite songs.

Lovely compositions, but the singing is hit or miss.

Two timeless songs, good shoegaze overall

Sea Change is a top 5 all timer, the rest of his albums are jokey, Gen X sarcastic slacker garbage.

Since I Left You by The Avalanches is an all time favorite album, so am not against entire albums of sampling. Listened to this a few times over the years, and there's just nothing that connects for me on this album.

Genuinely surprised this isn't a Sacha Baron Cohen character. "No means yes". Ewwwwwwwww

Heard some Sabbath licks throughout the album, glad they fessed up with an Iron Man cover. Surprised they were just a one hit wonder since the entire album carries the same vibe as Lovefool.

Heart of Gold is a top ten song. The rest of the album is typical of Young's solo work: not for me.

I've tried to like this album with a half dozen listens over a few years, it just won't take.

Loved this as a moody teenager, if you're on the wavelength of any song on the album you'll love them all. I'm just not on the wavelength anymore.
