Holy God, that guitar solo! Hendrix-esque cosmic blues that goes on forever and ever. Would easily rank #1 favorite if it were only spoken word poetry followed by a 15 minute Eddie Hazel solo, over and over, on a triple album.

Bob Dylan peaked on his 2nd and 3rd albums, 4th album is alright. I've never liked Blonde on Blonde, he drank too much of his own bathwater by this point.

Ogre Battle is great.

Malibu is a great Sheryl Crow song. And Courtney Love's voice is powerful and gritty. But of all the alternative albums, why is this one included on a top 1000 list?!

The novelty of Johnny Cash covering modern songs wore off 20 years ago.

I love Lady Day but have never liked this album. It's too sad to listen to in many ways, none of them good. Her voice is gone, the orchestral swell attempts to cover and carry it all forward. The album on the whole feels like death tourism.

Bowie on full Gonzo mode, Where Are We Now is one of my favorite songs.

Lovely compositions, but the singing is hit or miss.
