This guy smokes a lot of cigarettes, looks like someone from Smashmouth, and would beat their wife if they could ever get one. This is bad

This is the most meh albums I’ve listened to yet. It doesn’t make me happy, mad, annoyed, excited, tired, or anything else really. I really have no idea as to why this is on the list but The Colour and The Shape isn’t. (2)

This is exactly what I imagine the 80s sounded like
It’s was fine, just not for me
If yesterday’s album was a 3.1, this is a 3.9. Almost a 4 but their voice just doesn’t do it for me
Disco 2000 is a banger.
This sounds like phineas and ferb (2). It’s fine, I’d get why someone would like it, but I think it’s not good
I mean, yeah it’s AC/DC. I dont love the vocals, but they’re iconic enough for me to ignore it. I feel like a frat boy but it does fuck
Hippy dippy. I get it, definitely just not for me (2)
Oh my god please talk to a woman you aren’t trying to have sex with. (2)
Hard to give it anything else (5)
I understand the significance, but it just doesn’t sound good. Just because it’s one of the first in a genre doesn’t mean it has to be bad. (1)
Grime. There’s definitely a cultural difference between uk and us rap, but overall I didn’t hate it. Some of it is cringe, some of it bangs
Yup (4)
It’s good, but idk. I think the increase in production over time hurts them, but that’s not their fault (3)
Their other albums are better, but this is still pretty good (3)
It’s just hard to rate because it’s so old. I’m sure at the time it would’ve been a 5, but time knocks it down
5
Take the lyrics out, and this album rips (3)
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes (5)
This is so weird and so awesome (4)
I normally hate pop country, but this is awesome (probably bc it’s so many other genres as well) (5)
Yup (5)
Not their best album, but it has yellow submarine so
The start was really calming, but the songs with lyrics were not it (3)
(4)
(3)
I mean, the title is apt. But good lord maybe make a song about your day or something idk. Some of the songs are awesome but some are god awful. (2) Scale for future: 1 - turn this off now 2 - will groan if it comes on 3 - no problems, I wouldn’t play it but I don’t mind hearing it 4 - pretty good, I may even play it 5 - bangers
(3)
Maybe it was cool at the time, maybe it’s influential, but there’s a kid in Brazil who can make all of these in 30 seconds. It’s okay (2/3)
The first depressed woman in music (4)
Wow the first 3 songs are bad. Next 3 are much better. Headache was a bit overhyped, not too bad tho. I like the Pixies, so I’m surprised I don’t like this that much (3)
(4/5)
Today was a good day (5)
The lyrics aren’t good, but I heard how it would influence certain genres later. (3)0
Just good 80s music, nothing crazy
I can’t give a specific reason why, but I do not like this
Just good 50s music. idk if it’s the genre or the time, but a lot of the songs sound similar
I just don’t think it’s that good
I thought I was gonna laugh more than I actually liked it. I didn’t expect it to actually be good
Not normally a fan of country/acoustic music, but this was really good
Too much with the drugs
More drugs but at least there’s words
This is Carlos hacky sack music, but I think rap that sounds like this is wack (2)
Heard it before, and before I even listen to it today, its a 5.
This is the most meh albums I’ve listened to yet. It doesn’t make me happy, mad, annoyed, excited, tired, or anything else really. I really have no idea as to why this is on the list but The Colour and The Shape isn’t. (2)
This is the best surprise yet, this is awesome (4)
Idk what noise kept playing in literally every single song, but it needs to stop
Idk why so many people on here hate on this. It’s not her best album, but it’s still good
Just alright
Kinda just a worse R.E.M. like they sound the same
What I don’t understand is this: why is this album on this list. It’s a slightly below average album with little to no cultural significance. You’d be lying if you told me there was not another better album it could be replaced with. Also Troubles is a worse attempt at world peace than the COVID Imagine video.
I think I don’t like Radiohead. I don’t really understand why they’re so hyped. Sonically, it’s pretty good, but the vocals sound whiny and, at least on this album, the lyrics aren’t as provoking as they think they are
A really pleasant surprise
3/4
Eh
Too much with the harmonica for me. The music is good, but it has a sound that I don’t like for more than 2 songs. 3/2
I mean, it’s disco. It’s certainly not my favorite genre of music, and there are definitely songs that drag on for too long, but it’s still a pretty good album. Also Will You Cry is the best song. 3.5
This is a little hard to rate. The music itself is amazing, but I don’t speak Portuguese. 4 (5 if I could understand the lyrics)
It’s just an average indie rock album. Even people who knew of this album where surprised it was here. Was a three but stayed way too long
4.5
Clocks is awesome, but besides that it’s alright
Super relaxing
Found out they wrote “Changes,” so that was cool
Ya know what, today IS the greatest day
This album isn’t sad or depressing or dark, it’s just a grown British man whining the word “died” a bunch
I don’t like The Cure, but this is a good album
1.5, I do not like this vibe or type of person

Time hasn't been too kind to albums in this genre. The flows are very similar throughout and across songs, and that causes a lot of songs to stay too long and kind of melt together. Good album when it came out (probably), but doesn't hold imo. High 2 - Low 3

If I was a 14 y/o girl and wanted to kill myself this would be awesome
Unlike others, I do think this album should be on here, as it is influential as a genre/type of music. Relaxing but a little boring

really a 4 but i don't speak Portuguese
Maybe it's b/c I've gotten a lot of live jazz albums recently, but I'm starting to get real sick of it
This guy smokes a lot of cigarettes, looks like someone from Smashmouth, and would beat their wife if they could ever get one. This is bad
3.5
The vocals sound like when you're fighting a big dumb monster and it's mad that you're trying to choke him but you're hanging from its neck so it can't reach back and grab you and it's really annoyed so it's just trying to shake you off really hard
3.5, country-ish // western-ish music (idk its neil young)
2.9 // poorly mixed, grungy, rage-y towards the end
3 // "if i could make a deal with god" song that was on tiktok, spacey "pop"? Think 80s, think trying too hard to be deep. Sounds good tho
3 // Senegalese artist, pretty relaxing. Yes, repetitive, but I didn't mind
2.9 // weird space-y sounds a lot of the time, some songs drag out a while, weird but not too much where it's hurting the music
3 // brit pop, fun, definitely not bad, but didn't really do anything for me
3 // beatles-like
2 // some true butt rock. this smells like sweat, in just the worst way. worst part about it: can't truly it's terrible, it's definitely iconic.
2.9 // punk, but sometimes sounded like clown - carnival music. weird, but honestly didn't hate it
3 // I mean, it's Rush. Not the most popular songs, it's just kinda okay for me
2 // Very 2010s rock album. It sounds exactly like what you'd expect from an album with this cover. To me, this is nothing music
2 // death/heavy metal. hasn't completely lost the plot with noise, but still disjointed enough to be hard to listen to
3 // poppy r&b from the 80s. exactly what you'd think that'd sound like. catchy and fun, but nothing crazy
3.9 // I mean, it's a Van Morrison album. Folk-y and nice/calm. Doesn't blow you away but pretty good
2.8 // The songs are pretty repetitive, but that's for a reflection of the era the album comes from. 90s R&B, sounds great to just listen to, but nothing much there imo
2.1 // Exactly what you'd expect from an experimental, mostly psychedelic, early 70s album. Wasn't completely unlistenable, but some songs were really bad
4.1 // Very calm songs, some are bangers. Soft indie rock music
3.8 // Indian instrumental music. I can absolutely see how this influenced The Beatles and others. Once you hear this you understand how those groups thought to experiment with their instruments a little more. That being said, the music itself is relaxing, but doesn't hit me extremely hard. It, of no fault of its own, suffers from being from a culture different from one I know, so I can't connect with it enough to give it a higher score.
2.6 // This is music Carlos would listen to while playing hacky sack. 90s British dance?/electronic music. It isn't bad, but does it need to be on this list? Eh, probably not
2.4 // I don't use this word often or lightly, but this is cringe. I see how people like it, but that does not mean I like it. It isn't nice, but I do think a little lesser of the person who loves this album. Objectively, it isn't terrible, but I do not like it. It should, sadly, be on this list, however. I do (and I'm not sure if it is ironic or not) like how the "crawling in my skin" line sounds. Maybe it's the COD nostalgia.
3.7 // My italian-american is showing. Sad Sinatra
4.2 // Rush is technically rock, but the music is too unapproachable on a technical level for me to call it rock. That's not to say it's bad; it's more of a clinic in how to drum, how to play bass, and how to sing.
4.1 // In the 70s, punk was kind of just pop. And that’s awesome here. Very fun songs, and a couple classics. Iggy’s gonna Iggy
One of the best albums ever
3.8 // irish folk rock. We love The Pogues, we love shane macgowan
4.6 // pretty good
4.1 // Love a bit of Lou Reed. Rock opera-esqe concept album of a dysfunctional couple, pretty good
