-bubblegum new wave -give the bass player a cookie -clever use of synths (arps and pads used tactfully) -hungry like the wolf guitar tone *chefs kiss* -hooks everywhere, not a good album for fish -all about that chorus -the arrangements are playing nice -happy tears for fears (songs from the happy chair) -middle 8 in hold back the rain is fun (arpeggios for their supper) -new religion... bit cheesy but ultimately cool. that vocal overdub bit is great. -highly digestible -the power of the song kinda lost in the funk and shine -wobble in intro for save a prayer is nice, impactful Vox ham -can't decide if I love or hate or hate the album cover, cool girl but looks like how it feels to hear your nan call a club a disco (kinda sums up the album but in a good way) -well sequenced, flows well -the chauffeur, its like dyslexic Kraftwerk on sherbet. like it but that flute can fuck off Lonely in your nightmare is my favourite, like if the smiths where actually the ghostbusters
