Boston
2/5
My dislike for this album was more than a feeling 𤣠jk itās just really not my style of music, and I feel like commercials have used so many of these songs so many times that listening to Boston feels like an ad break from the music I actually want to listen to. Better than Deep Purple

Sam Cooke
4/5
Itās an album I would have never listened to outside of this. Itās the type of music that I would never sit down and listen to, since it feels way more like the kind of music you go to see live and dance to. It feels like a ātop 100 performances you wish you could have seen live.ā But, that being said, it was also pretty mind-boggling how good he sounds live. And feeling the crowd through all the cheering and laughing⦠so nice. Really liked this one
the line āit aināt that leukemiaā and then laughing during āSomebody Have Mercyā was fucking weird, but when I googled it thereās a whole wikipedia page for the song that says the line ātell me what is wrong with meā created speculation and rampant rumors that Cooke had leukemia, which was false⦠feels like I am still missing everything between point A and B, but that was a wild moment
Bring it On Home to Me blew my mind. What a ballad. And when he says āI know I laughed HA HA HA when you leftā the laugh part REALLY reminded be of Robbie for some reason lol
Michael Jackson
3/5
I am not a big Michael Jackson fan, so half of this album was new to me. I am still not a fan really :P XD
Fugees
4/5
What the FUCK was going on at the end of The Beast ?????????????
Deep Purple

Meat Loaf

The Roots
2/5
We get it. You make music for intellectuals. We get it.
Rush
2/5
Fuck you, Rush
Neil Young
3/5
His songwriting is so awesome, but itās hard for me to get into his voice.
I was SHOCKED when Thereās a World started playing, I actually thought I had queued up a random song by someone else. That one really took me out of the album as a whole, and I think it was the most difficult instrumental for me to enjoy with his voice.
It was fun to finally listen to a Neil Young album. Heās one of my momās favorites, so I grew up hearing a ton of songs and probably some albums without knowing, but I had never sat down and listened to an album all the way through intentionally.
Bob Marley & The Wailers
3/5
Imagine me with a cuppa nugs of sweet ganja, a garlic bread sammy from Cheba Hut, a hammock near NCAR parking lot overlooking Boulder, and this playing off of a little JBL speaker. That was a Thursday for me at 17.
Absolute Cinema.
Kate Bush
5/5
The first time I ever heard Get out of my House was with Ben while we were on a hiking/camping trip. He played it for me after we had driven over a mountain pass and were heading down into a forested valley. The sun had just set, and because of the windy road and dense trees we could only see a short ways ahead of us in the headlights. It was terrifying.
I would listen to Rush 1000 times to hear Kate Bush again for the first time.
Kate Bush Donkey Noise

Digital Underground
1/5
I want to apologize for all of the bad things I said about Deep Purple.
This is the worst album I have ever heard. I cannot fathom it being topped as the bottom.
If you genuinely LIKE or LOVE this album then you fucking suck and have actual problems BAD BAD BAD and you NEED help NOW (yesterday).
Holy FUCK TAKE THIS OFF THE LIST HOLY SHIT THIS ALBUM SUCKS I HATE YOU 1001 ALBUMS I HATE YOU
Like beyond it being stylistically unimpressive after timeās passage, the lyricism is not only boring and corny by todayās standards, but half of the songs are just fucking vile⦠like even if the beats are sometimes not terrible, ypu have to overlook fucking perversion freak shit just to hear them ???? like this SUCKS IT JUST FUCKING SUCKS ??!!!!!!!1!
I GOT TO LISTEN TO KATE BUSH YESTERDAY AND NOW THIS ??????????????????????????? Itās like laying in the worldās most beautiful meadow on a sunny, spring morning and then getting struck by lightning 13 times and exploding.
I AM TRAPPDE IN THSI BOX SOMEONE SAVEE ME HELP ME I AM STUCKD ANF I CANT GET OUT AHHHH HELP SAVE ME AHHHHH

Shoutout to the 2008 financial crisis for ending their tours!!!! Thanks collapsing economies!
Rest in peace pop smoke who pop smoke
Pulp
3/5
pretty indifferent to this one. Some of the songs were nice or interesting, but I feel like most of it just passed over me.
Bjƶrk
4/5
the little people playing this album in my phone popped tf off
Bill Callahan
3/5
In this realm of music, I donāt think Bill Callahan is the greatest. I think the instrumentation of many of the songs is beautiful, while remaining quite simple, but I wish it did more at times. The drums especially.
I think itās nice go find a singer whoās good without really singing ? He talks musically.
I think Apocalypse is a better album.
The Jam
2/5
Super whatever for me
More of a peanut Butter guy tbh
Boston
2/5
My dislike for this album was more than a feeling 𤣠jk itās just really not my style of music, and I feel like commercials have used so many of these songs so many times that listening to Boston feels like an ad break from the music I actually want to listen to. Better than Deep Purple
The xx

If they played on Americaās Got Talent they would be the X X X getting buzzed off the stage :P The album just hasnāt stood up to the passage of time
The Smashing Pumpkins
4/5
theyāre WHATing pumpkins?? šøš¤Ø
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
1/5
I did not enjoy having a guy who sounds like a cartoon frog sing me the blues about fat boyās assholes.
I actually thought parts of the instrumentals were cool, so maybe Nick Cave IS the Bad Seed
Al Green
4/5
Emmylou Harris
4/5
Marilyn Manson
3/5
you gotta listen to Marilyn if you want to be a Man, son XD
I have seen so many interviews of Marilyn Manson and always thought it would be interesting to listen to, but I always assumed I would not be into it⦠and I was right.
It is funny to listen to something that made 90s Christian parents spontaneously combust and know that it kinda aged into corniness ? Like all of the heaven and hell stuff just doesnāt hit anymore⦠and like āi wish I was deadā is what I say when I am mildly inconvenienced at work ? so it just doesnāt really work anymore TO ME
BUT i did find a lot of the sounds of instruments and vocal styling to be cool
Frank Ocean
4/5
i like this one, but it doesnāt hold a candle to Frank in the Oldie music video ā¤ļø
De La Soul
2/5

Rage Against The Machine
4/5
used to listen to this album in one earbud underneath my turtle beach headset while I played call of duty, and I would only pause it if I was last alive in search and destroy or something intense like that. It was fun to relisten as a way less angry and older person, especially while on a walk in beautiful weather šš© who else is up raging against they machine
Serge Gainsbourg
3/5
Beck
3/5
Bruce Springsteen
2/5
I was actually really surprised by how much I did NOT like this. Bruce Springsteen kinda sounds like Jimmy Fallon doing an impression of Bruce Springsteen, like it doesnāt sound like an actual person sounds like that. I donāt think I will purposefully listen to a Springsteen song again. My mom is from New Jersey and sheās gonna be sad to find out I do not like this guy

I actually love the guitar in this way more than I remembered. Agreed with others around having problems with the vocals being bad often, but mostly really enjoyed the songs. Best for me was finches, that song was valid af
LCD Soundsystem
3/5
almost want to give this a 2. I just really didnāt enjoy it all that much, even though I donāt find the sound bad or offensive. I like some other LCD soundsystem songs, but listening to an entire album was just pretty boring to me
Todd Rundgren

Whatās his PhD in? Making music that aged poorly and compensating for self-confidence issues by talking about how big his penis is in every song? Fuck you and your shitty headphones

I asked my dad if he likes Deep Purple and he said āhmmmmā¦. no, I donāt think soā and I said ācool, they fucking suckā and he said āawesome, I was worried you were about to say that you just found them and thought they were inspiring or somethingā and I said āthe only thing they almost inspired was me never risking listening to new music ever againā and we bonded. Thanks Deep Purple ā„ļø

U2

Beck
1/5
this sounds like when the soda machine is running out of flavor so it still looks mostly like Cocacola but tastes like shit. This music is boring. Where itās at made me lose my MIND because it sounded so fucking stupid. I hate this guy and his music. I thought it was FINE last time but wow I do not like him I just donāt. 1001 Albums, I am BECKing you PLEASE donāt give me a third Beck Album. Beck, if youāre nice, I am sorry, and if youāre an asshole then go fuck yourself.

1/5
is devo dead yet? Please say yes.
Gillian Welch
5/5
I canāt describe it without it sounding cringe to me, but I love how human and personal music like this sounds. When I listen to it it feels like I am in the same room as Gillian and she is just playing it for herself, and I am lucky enough to listen. I fucking love this album
Janelle MonƔe

as someone who has listened to some, but not a ton, of music from this genre/era, I canāt really tell how or why this would stand out. It was an easy listen, and some of the songs had really interesting rhyme schemes, but mostly just felt fine overall.

I was actually really surprised by how boring I found this album. I had never listened to Adele beyond hearing her in commercials and movies, so I was excited to see if there was anything else I might enjoy by her. It was not interesting to me
Cowboy Junkies
2/5
I had wanted to listen to this album for a few years. I saved it back when I listened to a lot of Yo La Tengo and the like. Honestly, it was kind of a let down. I think it all sounded fine, but it was just not very convincing. So many of the songs just sounded like a small band was playing in a bar, and not at all like they meant what they were singing. Like I DONT BELIEVE that you are so lonesome that you could cry, not one bit.
