This is a beautifully crafted album. It captures typical sounds from the 90s, and today, it sounds very nostalgic. I really enjoyed "Bouge de là" and "Ragga Jam!"
This is PJ Harvey's best work. I listened very carefully. I love the vibe it creates. It contains everything you need to know about how 2000s rock music sounds. The production and songwriting are on another level. The whole album is thoughtful and driving - strong female vocals with driving guitars and a punk sensibility. "The Mess We're In" is one of the greatest duets ever created in alternative music, IMHO.
Sufjan Stevens is a genius who can make you cry happily. It is a roller coaster album with a touch of love in every song. The " Chicago " track is a masterpiece and deserves more recognition.
Unfortunately, this album and artist aren't my type. I didn't understand why this album is essential.
What an album! It's not my favorite from Talking Heads, but it's still excellent work with many great songs!
