Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Feb 19 2026

I really liked this album, simple instrumental and loops for the most part but still fun to listen to. I could hear Sultans of Swing inspiration in multiple songs.

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Feb 20 2026

Bob Dylan is a great visionary but. His vocal range is just so monotone sounding almost spoken word much of the time

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Feb 21 2026

This album is short but good. Lots of filler though there are some straight classics on this album

Pyromania by Def Leppard
Feb 22 2026

So far really getting a more commercial radio vibe from this album, it’s almost too safe and boring. After reading that this was a move to being more of a radio friendly sound it makes sense. Not a bad album but largely uninspiring and lot of repetitive hooks and choruses that feel like many songs should end 30 seconds before it’s over. A couple of good hits and nice guitar solos but this one is pretty average for me.

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Feb 23 2026

I have listened to this album many times before. No skips for me. I learned that ot is a compilation of unreleased songs from various points throughout their recording career, so much variation it truly is an incredible album

Eliminator by ZZ Top
Feb 24 2026

Pretty basic 80’s rock album some good hits but not memorable

Infected by The The
Feb 27 2026

This was fantastic, upbeat and fun to listen to

Rio by Duran Duran
Mar 07 2026
The Man Machine by Kraftwerk
Mar 09 2026

Cool concept but not music that I would seek out myself

Buena Vista Social Club by Buena Vista Social Club
Mar 10 2026

This album is really fun. I’m not super knowledgeable about Latin music but this is great. Upbeat but sooooo smooth and chill, just makes me want to sit outside a bodega on a hot day and drink light beer.

Broken English by Marianne Faithfull
Mar 11 2026

Kinda boring honestly

Arc Of A Diver by Steve Winwood
Mar 12 2026

Pretty typical sounding early 80s solo artist album to me. Not amazing but some nice vocals and production. Upbeat and a little funky too

Pretenders by Pretenders
Mar 15 2026

Some great songs but overall pretty middle of the road for me

Van Halen by Van Halen
Mar 17 2026

This album is radio city but it’s not bad just way overplayed

Aja by Steely Dan
Mar 19 2026

Great album, fun to listen to. Steely Dan is a master at piano and composition

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Mar 20 2026

Kinda feels like a lot of other albums I’ve reviewed where this is only really on here for some contextual reason and not because of the actual music. Not to say that the music on this one is bad

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Mar 21 2026

It’s good but not really super into it personally

Smash by The Offspring
Mar 24 2026

Solid, some good hits. Singing is kinda monotone though.

She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper
Mar 25 2026

She’s got a couple good hits on this, the rest is…. Well it’s ok

Peter Gabriel by Peter Gabriel
Mar 26 2026

This was actually a really fun album. Lots of emotion without being overbearing. Production is on point as well

Oxygène by Jean-Michel Jarre
Mar 27 2026

This reminds me of Gabe’s soundscapes in The Office. I could go on a drive in a hover car with this on repeat

Kenza by Khaled
Mar 30 2026
Roots by Sepultura
Apr 01 2026

Seems like one of those albums that’s on here just for context, the only good thing about this isomer the guitar work, even then it’s not that great

Purple Rain by Prince
Apr 03 2026

Prince was horny!!!

Blue by Joni Mitchell
Apr 07 2026

Just pure talent. Probably one of the best albums I’ve ever listened to ever. Such amazing visual storytelling with just words. Pure talent with amazing execution

Back to Mystery City by Hanoi Rocks
Apr 08 2026

Sounds like a generic rock stuck between the late 70s and 80s. Good mix of both styles

British Steel by Judas Priest
Apr 09 2026

Basic early 80s “metal” not bad but not stand out for me

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Apr 11 2026

I like this. Lots of bluegrass and country elements in the background. Nobody plays the piano like Steely Dan

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
Apr 12 2026

Pretty good, kinda generic for me

Sign 'O' The Times by Prince
Apr 14 2026

It’s Prince so it’s a mix of compositional genius and being straight horny!!

Tapestry by Carole King
Apr 15 2026

This is pretty nice, not combo of multiple styles but doesn’t lean too much into one thing

Apr 16 2026

I think this is good but it’s not super engaging for me. The instrumentals are good but the singing is eh

A Girl Called Dusty by Dusty Springfield
Apr 18 2026

If Adele was born in the mid-late 1900s, I can tell Adele probably listened to a Dusty Springfield album or two. She seems to face a lot of heartbreak but otherwise great vocals and backing music.

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Apr 19 2026

This is good but some of the riffs and bass lines can be a bit repetitive but some good classics in this one. I haven’t listened to a ton of Red Hot Chili Peppers before but I’m enjoying a lot of the deep cuts

Butterfly by Mariah Carey
Apr 22 2026

This is ok, Mariah is very talented but most of this doesn’t hit for me

Electric by The Cult
Apr 23 2026

It’s like they’re trying to be motley cruë, not interesting to me

B-52's by The B-52's
Apr 25 2026

A true masterpiece

Apr 26 2026

This album is great for a debut album. I would give it 5 but there is a bit too much filler on this which makes the album flow kinda drag at points. Amazing ton of hits on this one though

The Hissing Of Summer Lawns by Joni Mitchell
Apr 27 2026

This is good, I like a lot of the more experimental stuff and the more jazz inspired musical style. Overall I enjoyed it

Parklife by Blur
Apr 28 2026

Eh this is ok. I’m kinda tired of how much UK pop music is on this list though

My Generation by The Who
Apr 29 2026

Solid album for a debut but it doesn’t move me in any profound way. Instrumentals are good, vocals are good, this album is just kinda forgettable but in a kinda good way

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Apr 30 2026

Amazing vocal talent and great songwriting. Never heard of Joan before but glad I was introduced to her, this is what this list is supposed to be about. Love the blues/country influence as well. Totally hear what could have influenced Tracy Chapman.

Loveless by My Bloody Valentine
May 06 2026

Not available on Spotify

Seventh Tree by Goldfrapp
May 09 2026

Pretty whimsical. Not exactly my vibe but not terrible, but also not great. Extremely forgettable the instant you finish listening

War by U2
May 10 2026

I used to listen to this a bunch as a kid because my mom loves U2, still as good as I remember

Feast of Wire by Calexico
Jun 04 2026

This was actually really great with how experimental it was

Songs From A Room by Leonard Cohen
Jun 11 2026

I like this but can be a bit repetitive and boring

Jun 12 2026

1 hr 25 mins too long

Jun 13 2026

Great album!

Jun 14 2026

I’m particular about heavy metal so this isn’t hitting for me

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
Jun 18 2026

This is an amazing debut album

Jun 21 2026

The album that really started gangsta rap. Yeah it’s misogynistic, homophobic, violent, etc., etc. but for gangsta rap this is a modern masterpiece

Signing Off by UB40
Jun 22 2026

Kinda boring after a few songs

Machine Head by Deep Purple
Jun 23 2026

A classic album that really helped progress metal into the mainstream. A little basic but still so well executed

Birth Of The Cool by Miles Davis
Jun 25 2026

Great but so many better miles Davis albums

1999 by Prince
Jun 26 2026

I always feel like I got fucked after listening to a Prince Album

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Jun 28 2026

I didn’t think I was going to like this at first but I haven’t heard a better crack at experimentation on a rock/metal album in my life. Trent Reznor is a musical genius
