Good Disco album can hear where the samples have been taken for other tracks
Good mix of rock, blues and jazz few songs missed the mark on the album but overall decent
Think this album was released 20 years too late, can understand why they were released from their contract due to poor album sales. In a decade of some pretty outrageous tunes, these fail to get going. But if you’d have put them in the 70’s alongside the likes of pink floyd, we’d probably be wearing emperor tomato ketchup t-shirts and talking about how brave the albums were. Overall probably wouldn’t listen again as music that sounds like I’ve dropped acid in a boulangerie is not my go to 4-5/10
What’s not to like about Lou Reed. As an album it dances between big band rock and roll and ballad style blues, which fits pretty much perfectly with the themes of drug addiction and abuse that run through the album.
Thoroughly enjoyed. Born under a bad sign is my favourite off the album.
Enjoyed his voice and some of the more lyrically uneasy songs such as gods song. Arguably though Randys best work is in film
Not a bad album, not one I’d revisit readily, can see how they’ve influenced other bands such as Stornaway from the 00’s. It’s 3 star at best.
Proper escapism music, feels like you’re in a different world listening to it. Would I put it on at a party though, unlikely. I can appreciate the instruments, sounds and vocals but it’s probably a 1 listen album.
Just a very good album
Like a folksy oasis, not amazing not awful
Moody punk rock, can’t really go wrong.
Some pretty decent songs on this, like a slightly less trippy Jefferson airplane. Can hear a similar anti war, new era lyricism as well. Enjoyed!
Bit much for me this, don’t really go in for whiny vocals 1-2 stars (didn’t finish it)
Pretty middle of the road stuff musically, lyrically I really enjoyed this album.
Country and western folk
What’s not to enjoy about KISS
Great album
Probably won’t revisit
Solid album
Can’t go wrong with Bowie
Middle of the road 80’s
Ok nothing spectacular
Good tunes
Got to love iron maiden.
2-3 star, can’t knock it but it’s not going to be something I’ll revisit, but still enjoyed aspects
Great album
I think if I hadn’t sliced my thumb accidentally with a wood saw today I’d have given this more time. But at 1:30 am in some serious pain and not being able to sleep I put track 1 on, 5 seconds later I turned it off
Not my favourite Madonna tracks
Not for me
I enjoyed
Thoroughly enjoyed
It was ok
Not bad, but probably wouldn’t listen again
One of the best
Title track fantastic, rest forgettable
Pretty intense lyrically, but some good songs
Good album
Ok but not really my bag
Just top notch jazz
One of the best
Enjoyed, but think the lead guitarist thinks he’s better than he actually is.
Not bad
Just a shame Bono is the way he is
Was alright just not my jam
Brian eno’s shit music strikes again
What a banger!
Sounds far too good to be live… but if it is incredible
Not their best stuff
Enjoyed but never moves past it’s first sound. A hugely influential album however, and still very good
Mad that someone as talented as Kate bush could make a crock of shit like this.
Give me Kate bush bangers
You can’t not enjoy Paul weller
One of the greatest debut albums of all time
Not a lot happens, sounds like Ross finally found his sound
