The band talks about how they didn't have a lot of commercial success with their studio albums, mostly having to do with the fact that they felt constrained by the limits of studio recording (3:20 song times). So apparent listening to this album - the band is meant for live music! Awesome riffs and great solos throughout

Well, it's Christmas music. So I feel like you either like it or not. But the wall of sound does lend itself well to this genre. Love Darlene loves Christmas, but otherwise I'm not a huge fan of Xmas music so I probably won't listen to this album for another year. Also mixed feelings about how terrible of a person Phil spector was, so I guess there's that.

Honestly, their songs all sound very similar. Does that mean they are bad? No way. Enjoyed the album!

I'm not the biggest Electronica fan. Still, it's easy to see how this album was ahead of its time when it came out. You can really recognize a lot of musical themes that are present in this genre today. So that was cool, even if I didn't like the music quite as much as other labums

Good album! The deluxe edition comes up on Spotify, so these may be added but there are Def some fluffier songs of the guys goofing around in the recording studio that I wasn't a huge fan of But overall, really creative songwriting and I enjoyed the album

I'm not the biggest fan of electronic pop music, but I did enjoy this album! First song, autobahn, I could listen to for hours! So soothing and love the lyrics "fan fan fan.. Autobahn!"

Loved it! Lou Reed has a fantastic voice. The fact that it tells a story is cool, and it ranges across genres. I can see how the critical reception would have been bad due to the cross genre nature of the album, but I thought it was cool how the songs ranged from rock to folk to jazz

Not the type of music I generally listen to, but this is a good album! It's a good one to have on in the background while doing stuff around the house - nice and upbeat!

Punk is not my favorite genre. That Said, Some of the songs were good! Particularly the beginning of the album. Later in the album gets to be a little harsh for my taste, but overall is was good

So, I like to think that I have a bit more of an eclectic taste in music. This album was a bit too much for me. There were songs I liked (two against three is a cool one) but many were just a bit too weird for me taste.
