1001 Albums Summary

Honestly disappointing. Not because I had high expectations, but because I didn’t want to call it trash and sound so subjective. In its defense I thought maybe I wasn’t in the right mood for it and therefore couldn’t enjoy it but it wasn’t great. I appreciate it that it was definitely a story.

This album was AWESOME. Idk if it was all covers but reminded me how great of singer willie Nelson is. One of those albums I expected to like but excited to get through but i savored each song

Normally love Black Sabbath, obvi nothing beats paranoid but this album wasn’t the best the first half but really nailed it at the end. Almost like ozzys attempt at zeppelin??

Idk, I can definitely appreciate this album but Frank ocean definitely has a sound and he really beats a dying horse with it. This just isn’t my type of music but I’m also surprised this is on the list

Idk it was pretty good, at first the transitions really irritated me and literally almost made me throw up. But once it moves over it’s pretty dang good. I don’t think I appreciated it as much as I should because it was morning and I needed words not insutrmentals but I liked it

This album was sick! I feel like this is the sound so many artists in this time we’re trying to go for *cough cough* Elvis Costello… Glad I got this one

Stooges rock

This album was awesome. Got my morning started like a bat out of hell. After having listened to so many albums on this, you can really tell the difference between a good artist and a great artist

Just couldn’t do this one, not great. Could see it being good for the times when it came out. Coolest thing about it was I recognized this is where a Mac Miller sample came from

Dear GOD was this bad. Just French guys taking rammstein and making it more primal. The assumption I’m taking with me into every one of these albums is “there has to be something here and if I don’t see it, I must not be gettting something” I’m willing to accept that but this was bad.

Noticed a jimmy hendrix element to it and when I looked it up king crimson was his favorite band of all time so you can hear the inspiration. Definitely will be listening to more of their albums

My jaw literally dropped hearing “by this river” listening to the album at first I was like I wish there was a feature that showed what other music this influenced but I heard it from never falling down. Pretty awesome
