1001 Albums Summary

I think it's a cool little jam album. It didn't really do anything too tremendously profound to me. A fun listen, I can see why it's Top 1000, but I can also see why I had never heard of it. The jams are very tight, and they cook at certain parts, but probably won't relisten.

This is one of my all time favorites already, and it was great getting it on day 2. I forget how ambient a lot of the album is, and it's higher energy songs are just so *chefs kiss*. Great album, one of my faves.

I mean... It's Bob Dylan. I've heard him do much better. This is basically just his voice, an acoustic guitar, and a harmonica. If you like his voice, it's a solid album. I'm not a big fan of his singing cadence so when the album is centered on that, it's not my favorite.

First time I've ever listened to this whole album, and honestly, I dig it! Sabotage is obviously the high point, but overall I thought it was good.

Sam Cooke is fantastic. Not my favorite of his, but he's still great.

10/10 band, live albums just aren't my thing

I had never heard of this band before pulling this album, but wow. This is a very cool era of music, and a wonderful composition. Kinda seems Bowie-ish? Definitely a gateway into the 80s era of music. This probably isn't going in my rotation but I do have a lot of respect for this record.

Major respect for a blues singer from 1960 named Muddy Waters, but I didn't really care for the album. Would've done it for me in 1960 though.

it feels weird simplifying all these albums just to a 1 to 5 star scale... i feel like there's a lot of parity. This will score the same as others that are not the same quality and that's annoying IMO. strong 4 nearly a 5

this is unironically one of the best bass tones I've heard on an album. really cool synth soundscapes too. Glad I randomly listened to this one.

I love Slipknot, but this isn't there best. I wonder if Iowa and their self titled album are on this list???

This album is the gold standard of studio recording. absolute banger on top of that. everyone should listen at least once in their life.
