Sweet Baby James
James TaylorNice production. A little too clean? easy listening and nice roadtrip vibes

Love this record!! High energy, groove, foot tapper!
brit pop classic! I wasn't a big fan of this album when it first came out. I found it too much pop and not gritty enough. I've converted over time to get the appeal. To the End and This is a Low are the stand out tracks.
Torn between this and Abbey Road as the best Beatles album. Not a wasted moment, every song a banger! and possibly Ringoβs best lead song.
I was obsessed with this album around 1994. Music like this just doesnβt exist anymore. In my top10 all time
For me disappointing. I started this challenge to find some classic gems I had missed along the way. This was an album I was happy to have avoided. A lot of repetitive patterns and similar energy to every song. A lot going on and everyone competing for space. Some nice moments, most of which have no doubt been sampled since! Overall feels like a live band who love to improvise trying ti make a record.
First half, is the a poor mans Ziggy Stardust meets Bob Dylan? I donβt get where this album is going? Thank god for punk rock and new wave came along just a few years later! Listenable, but not something Iβm in a rush to get back to anytime soon
I hear a lot of pink Floyd Wish you were here, but it was released 4 years prior! Especially South Side of the Sky. I donβt mind this record. It probably needs a few listens to take it all in.
This left me cold. Beautiful, soulful voice. But not something I feel inspired for a second listen.
Nice record, safe and from the production line. The 8th record? I think about how far the Beatles had come in the same time. A bit rinse and repeat for me.
Didnβt mind it, just not my thing. Feel alike a lot of the lyrics and designed more to shock than convey a point or perspective. Wonβt be listening again
Didnβt hold my attention. Repetitive, melodic, metronomic. Will need to listen again to see what I missed!
I listened to this album. A lot back in the 90s was great to have a blast in the past. A lot of fun.
Classic!
May need to circle back to this one!

WTF?!!
Solid album, easy listen
Saw Pink Floyd perform this at Wembley. Amazing record!
90βs classic. On listening back, not as stronger as I remember it
Not much for pop, but Tay Tay I do like. Sheβs a true songwriter and performer. This album has some classic pop writing. Good wholesome fun
Classic! Prefer the later Metallica albums.
confusing album. feels like it has been mixed or produced at completely different times. more like a greatest hits. Shades of Supergrass in places, other stuff more poppy and unlistenable. strange, but also compelling at times
Thereβs so much to like about this album and at the time of its release it was so different to everything else. On listening back now it feels a little contrived and also pretty much the same throughout. A couple of great stand out tracks.
Nice album, ruined by how many tracks have been used for commercials and tv
