just feels like poetry reading. very bland and uninspiring especially the last songs
great lyrics and terrific use of sax i gotta say. favorite track is poor boy. it was good knowing you nick drake, but its very similar to what im used to hearing. this doesnt make it lame becauese it wasnt the case in 71 i guess.. its 3 out of five but closer to four than three i think
the dreamy atmosphere pulled me in and never let go. it was a very fun listen with catchy songs. a little too much choir but idk. it is one of the underrated the beach boys albums. it was beyond love and much more about our society. loved it
ugh..
an electronica album shouldnt be good but..
this is very jazzy and dare i say funky for a 70’s david bowie album.. which is why i liked it. it had almost no skips, maybe a few but the rest is immaculate. the first four songs are a blast to hear and every one of them highers the expectation for the next. peak songwriting, great flutes, great job bowie!
a very relaxing slow country track. nothing inspirational and i guess all songs are just covers but cant go wrong with willie nelson. great vocals, great guitar. the album equivalent of a straight-a-student
did not dissapoint. such a classic, no need to elaborate. keeps ya movin
typical stones. good songwriting, good composition, good intentions. but disappointingly none of the songs hit me like they should. it is more like the representative of the era. would definitely listen though
such a journey. doesnt require much to say, i will say though that it was an electric ladyland
not a huge radiohead fan.. very chaotic, very experimental. i think radiohead is one of those bands that try to be deep and philosophical but they just end up with very forgettable songs with poor lyrics. i dont know why but i just cant get into any radiohead song and i dont know why that happens. 4-5 songs deep i forgot to pay attention to the album and last thing i remember i was at the end. the first track is good but i dont remember the rest.
im glad ive come across this. most of the stuff feels bland and ordinary but at the same time super dreamy. its like what you hear in your dreams when you go near a stream and there are nymphs that are laughing in the background for some reason ya know?
man eagles are such a vibe.. this track melted my head like butter, which MEANSS—> largely forgettable BUUUUT fun to listen to every second of the shit. coulda been higher if the vocals werent so shit
not so much for me. the music isnt very appealing and lyrics dont do it for me either. some songs tho..
i usually hate long albums because theyre very repetitive and boring in general but this.. lyrics are super creative and time to time funny, it creates a very great atmosphere and is simply fun to listen to. i finished it in two days and it didnt bore me at all. it represents 70s chill rock albums very beautifully. the first song is one of my favorites and others are just as smooth. LOVE THIS!!
‘twas good
it was fun. nothing special imo
what a run!! very jazzy, very latin. it was repetitive but didnt bore at all. such a high mood. i couldnt keep myself from vibing. one of those albums which remind me why i still take part in this project
this is a unique album. you ask why? because it is a post-punk new-wave shit that doesnt lack all the soul and rhythm as some do. everybody knows “every breath you take” but it isnt just centered on that and it offers a much broader perspective. the last song has become my favourite and it is “murder by numbers”. songwriting is good, rhythmic structure (whatever thats called) keeps you in the game. a solid 3.3
indifferent
just dj music to be listened to at parties, nothing impressive or sensational. sometimes fun sometimes not. not bad for the genre tho just not a big fan
soft relaxing jazz. nothing i can complain about :)
ninety percent of this was just the fans cheering. oh my god have i ever seen such an uninteresting piece of music. i mean its not unlistenable so noy a one. i’ll give you money was the best song
didnt even notice it was on. not unlistenable
not very likeable. vocals dont sound particularly great. it wasnt very boring but it isnt enough to leave me with a feeling. songwriting was that of a childrens book. thats all i have to say
not really my style. it sounds very likable: clear lyrics, basic instruments and relatable themes. but nothing strikes me. i enjoyed it but it’s just “any” album
funky, soul, chill. this is what stevie wonder is. i wouldnt rather do anything than listen this album.
it got me moving i can say that much. a mixture of electronica, dj and indie. not very thoughtful lyricism but it was well composed, didnt feel awkward at all. can round it to 3
This track took me on a journey starting from the first song which is well known and carved in our heads. It is very peaceful and also fun. I guessed it would be country (bc of the cover) but it never stopped fascinating me and was indeed a whole journey. It was good blues and jazz, so jazzy that at some point i forgot what i was listening to. Then came the last song and was a burden on me i had to pull through. If i ignore that song it would be a 4 and im in a good mode so four it is!!
its mingus. i had recently listened to ah um mingus and found this one as impressive. theres just so much going on and it lingers on my soul. i think anybody can enjoy this and i just love that kind of music that appeals to people regardless of the time, style or what the world is caught up in
dont know what depraved son of a bitch made this but im on the right track i guess. old school my ass
its elton john. up-mood up-rhythm comfy rock. nothing to complain about. musical equivalent of a karaoke when youre drunk
boring ass new wave shit plus some fun
what the actual fuck. i would listen to eerie movie soundtracks if i wanted to. thats not something i relate to
good. felt the 80s.
this is the second nick drake album that i got during this project. the first one was bryter layter. it was good but i cant remember much. this one was a very pleasant listen, guitar works perfectly with his vocals and creates a slow and empathetic atmosphere. it feels very genuine, not rushed at all and humane. also i found out that it was his debut. woow. what a debut. this feels a lot different from any other folk album that i hated. best songs are: three hours, river man, man in a shed, fruit tree, saturday sun.
man thats pure rock. those guitar solos perfectly complement the harmony. everything just works. had a lot of fun listening to it. speed king is a great song and the rest just complete each other
phenomenal album, every song is basically a hit, you cant help but dance all the time, wish they still had clubs playing this kind of music, love this soul shit, beats never bore you and arent very repetitive and excess sounds compliment the storytelling
i love nina simone. soully jazz with her characteristic voice. i loved the album
I FUCKING LOVE MS LAURYN HILLLL!!!!!! Real hiphop. Beats, songwriting, vocals, everything is perfectly composed. It is a novel from start to finish. A theatre play where every scene matters. This album is like a cloud carrying everything that era has to offer. Superstar rocksss!!!
the doors is a band that ive found very pleasant to listen to actually but i had never listened to this album. its very similar to their earlier works, songwriting is great and what sets them apart is the early psychedelic riffs and melodies that stick with you. waiting for the sun has become my favorite song in that album, overall the track would make a great roadtrip listen. jim morissons mental voice is remarkable too
It is transcendental, it is unworldly. Also nothing special for me, it doesnt speak for any emotion that i have. I love the experimental stuff what its pretty much indifferent to me
I loved that disco album. It‘s very catchy and how you would imagine disco to be like. It‘s like a simmering butter. It keeps you engaged all the rhythm and the stuff. Songwriting isnt the best, its not a creative work but who cares?? It simply works. “Le Freak” and “At Last I am Free” are my favorite tracks. A solid 3.7/5
Its like on repeat. Nothing more interesting the Sultans of Swing which is one of the best songs oat but pretty uninteresting to me honestly the rest i mean
leonard cmon man
So much nostalgia.. Artistically I could say so much but the sentimental part gets me and mesmerizes so much so that I could listen to them for hours. Once I had fallen asleep on a roadtrip listening just to them and dreamed with their music. Thats more than just notes and chords yaknow?? Favourite tracks: Monday, Monday; Straight Shooter, California Dreamin’
