Sea Change
BeckWhile I didn’t hate the album, nothing held my interest.
While I didn’t hate the album, nothing held my interest.
I get why this was a huge album. But I just don’t care for it.
Nope
The album sounds like the songs are well written and would be something I’d like. However, it has the type of 80s style production that, to me, make everything flat and dull.
A masterpiece. I’ve heard it hundreds of time, and will thousands more.
The songs are fun and well written. They all feel very similar though. Not normally a genre I listen to but it was enjoyable.
She had such a beautiful voice. This album is terrific. The pain she expresses sounds so genuine that, although it’s outcome is terrible, it really elevates the art.
Very enjoyable.
Just not for me.
A decent album. But not super memorable.
While I didn’t hate the album, nothing held my interest.
Great album!
I did not care for this at all.
I had only heard Bang a Gong before. The other songs were wonderful.
A masterpiece. I’ve heard it hundreds of time, and will thousands more.
This album had some fun songs but nothing I would go back too.
The second half is amazing.
A masterpiece. Love every note.
I enjoyed this album a lot more than I thought I would. Really good music.
How have I never heard of them? Wonderful.
Not bad, but a little boring to me.

I did not care for this album.
Not for me at all.
Pretty, but hard to keep focused on.
As a fan of the band Traffic this album had a lot of moments that reminded me of that music. But the overall “easy-listening” feel of it turn me off.
Nope, not enjoyable at all. Way to repetitive.
The high water mark for Green Day and possibly all pop-punk.
Boring
Some very good music here. Unfortunately, the concept it is so famous for brings some quite underwhelming filler tracks.
Fun album. I'm not a huge fan of bands that do purposely short songs, but they do it so well it is still enjoyable.
Not bad. But not something I love.
Electronic music just doesn’t connect with me.
meh
Wonderful! Classic Neil Young.
This is the first album I couldn’t even sample all of the songs. I just can’t do disco.
It was ok. There is some very well played music on the album. But it was just dull to me.
Love it.
Good album. I LOVE "Helpless", which is the only song I was familiar with.
Very good album. I really liked the airy, hollow sound of the guitar.
I didn’t care for the music, but the message is great and still very relevant.
I had only ever heard Lovefool before. This album was a pleasant surprise.
Has a few good songs. And the rest is interesting but not particularly enjoyable. I wonder what this John would have done with the Sex Pistols?
Meh. Didn’t connect.
It was ok.
I didn’t care for this album.
This was an OK album.
Good music
Good soul/R&B.
Enjoyable
Great album. Another band I hadn't heard that I really should have.
It was ok
It’s fine, R&B ballads.
Fucking love this album.
It was fine, nothing I’d go back to.
Really good
Interesting, but not for me.
One of the best albums ever recorded. A masterpiece.
It was ok. Started with some good songs. But got boring in the second half.
Boring
I like the album.
Good album
Great metal!
Boring
nope
Great band. Great album. Zombie Eaters is fantastic.
Nothing special
Not bad, but I didn’t love it.
Great album!
Nope
Good music, but not something I enjoy listening to.
Beautiful music, amazing voice.
Really good music. Somehow I hadn’t heard them before, but will listen to their other albums.
Good album
Pretty good
This album was pretty good. I’m not a huge fan of this production style from the 80s.
Fantastic!
Good record
Good record
Love this album, a classic.
Not bad
Meh, not my thing.
Perfect. I love this album so much. A masterpiece.
Very good music. Not a style I would listen too much at all, but it is undoubtably great.
A very good album, shame there isn’t more from them.
It was ok, disco isn’t my favorite and this album is mostly that. Some funk and soul flavor saved it from 1 star.
This was ok, but the songs were too similar so the album just felt like listening to one song on repeat.
It was ok
Meh, not horrible but nothing that held my interest.
I’m not really a fan of this album. It’s not bad, but I didn’t enjoy it.
Very good album. I love Don’t Look Back in Anger.
I don’t care for electronic music.
Excellent album. Waiting in Vain and Three Little Birds are some of my favorite songs.
Not good
Good album. I love metal but thrash isn’t my favorite. So I won’t rate Metallica as high as most metalheads.
Very good album. I loved it in high school. Now I don’t really listen to rap but this was still enjoyable.
It’s good, but I’ve never been a big fan of Pearl Jam.
Very pretty and sad.
Really good. She’s So Loose was the standout for me.
Such a great album. Her writing and her voice are perfect.
Really good album. Another band I wish I’d heard of before.
Good songs.
There are a few songs I thought were ok, the more bluesy ones. The album overall has objectively very talented people playing well, it just didn’t really make me feel anything.
Not bad, but not anything I loved.
I liked it better than I’d expected to. Fun stories and he has a great voice.
Classic album. Janis is wonderful as always. Love it.
Wow this is great! I will definitely listen to more of there work.
While the musicianship is good the songs are dull and all sound very similar. Although that may be due to the production that is, to me, too clean.
Good album. Interesting band.
One of my very favorites. A masterpiece.
Good music
Not for me
Decent album.
Nah. Overrated junk.
Good album. A bit cheesy.
Not good, I think Prince was very overrated.
Very good music.
I did not care for this album. Very repetitive.
The album has some good songs. Only one great song though.
Good stuff
Very good music, but the 80s super-clean production makes it sound very sterile.
Great album! I love the semi-chaotic sound.
Just not good.
U2 is so overrated. I just don’t get the appeal.
Superb!
I get why this was a huge album. But I just don’t care for it.
Really good
A classic. And very good.
Not for me. Boring.
I didn’t care for this album.
Really good album.
I didn’t care for this album.
nope
Good songs
A masterpiece. One of my favorite albums ever.
Dull
I didn’t care for this album, but it wasn’t bad.
Really good. Fun. Great writing.
Great album. See real classics I didn’t know the artist name.
Low Down Freedom is a great song. I didn’t love the album though.
Classic album with some killer, timeless tracks.
Did not care for the album.
Really good album.
Great music. Like it a lot more than I thought I would.
Interesting, but I didn’t particularly enjoy it.
I’m not a huge fan of jazz.
Good album. Has some really great tracks.
Only has a few songs that were interesting to me despite the cleaver lyrics and lovely singing.
A masterpiece. Love the band. Love the album.
Pleasant but I didn’t love it.
Great album. Dylan is one of a kind.
Not for me. Not a fan of electronic music.
A masterpiece. One of my favorite albums from one of the best metal bands.
Not bad, not great.
A masterpiece from, perhaps, the greatest song writer.
Good stuff
Ok, I didn’t love it.
Didn’t care for this album.
Good music.
Not bad, but I didn’t really enjoy it.
Not a big fan of new wave.
Not terrible, but I didn’t love it.
Fine. Not great.
A fine album.
A masterpiece. You can hear the future of metal in this.
Not feeling it…
Ok, but a bit dull.
I don’t particularly care for Christmas songs and these fell flat.
A masterpiece. One of the best pieces of music ever recorded. Beautiful, emotional, and universal even though the subject matter is very personal to the band. The song “Wish You Were Here” is, in my opinion, a perfect piece of music.
Nope. I didn’t care for this.
Good stuff
Good stuff
Interesting but not something I’d want to listen again.
Why was this not considered gangster rap? I read it supposedly show the NYC rap scene as still relevant compared to the West Coast scene of "gangsta rap". But the lyrical content seems basically the same.
Interesting and enjoyable.
Enjoyable
A masterpiece. Such an amazing debut from the Arctic Monkeys
Interesting, but not for me.
Not my favorite from Bowie but an enjoyable listen.
The title track is a classic. The rest was forgettable but still a good listen.
It was… fine.
Good
Good
The music actually wasn't bad for rap. Having a live drummer is infinitely better than a electronic beat.
Most of the albums I’ve heard from this list I’ve understood why they were on it. However this one I just don’t get, it seems like a generic R&B/rap.
Really good
Not bad
It was ok
Just Say No
A masterpiece. I wish I could have heard Kirk’s follow-up.
A masterpiece. Beautiful, heartfelt music.
Boring
Good album. I really like these songs lack of polish compared to the very produced newer Foo Fighters songs.
Very good song writing, but the synths just make it boring and too repetitive for my liking.
This has some wonderful lyrics but the songs are dull to me.
This had a few good songs but the electronic aspects bored me.
While the album definitely has some classic songs it is a little to pop for my taste.
Keith is a fantastic player and his music is interesting and beautiful. I’m just not a huge fan of this style of playing.
Love it. The album has some of my favorites from Petty.
A bit cheesy, but good for what it is.
It was better than most electronic albums I've heard. But that isn't saying much.
He is a talented song writer and his lyrics can be great when he wants them to be. Like most electronic music though it just isn't something I can get into.
Interesting but drawn-out and forgettable.
I suppose it might be good for it’s genre.
Not bad.
Good music.
Fine, but I didn’t love the music.
Not bad.
A fine album.
Not terrible, and almost good. Unfortunately all I heard was boring Tom Petty.
Good album. I’d imagine the impact would be greater from an English perspective.
Very good album. Almost too long. Whittled down a little maybe could have been perfect.
nah
