In fact only a few songs really stick, but overall not a convincing album for me.

Starts off terrible, gets better in the middle (even my foot started to wiggle), finishes like it started. The wiggle deserves an extra star :)

Don´t like songs like PYT with some TLC for a baby, girl or lady or whoever..... But can´t "beat" a song like Billy Jean.

Refreshing to hear new Queen songs as i only knew one song. Listened to the album a few times, which does not happen a lot in the 1001. I like this early queen sound.

Pretty quickly done with this, some "songs" bring down the whole. Which is a pity as there are some nice ones on it.

I get the "look mama, i can make some funny noises from this machine" feeling. Sometimes there is a good groove though (only knew them from Peter Gunn´s theme).

Played it a lot back in the day, excellent album. Comes to life especially in the evenings/nights.

I actually have this album :) The album starts great, i still like it. It´s a bit like a concept album where all songs fit together. After two tribes it goes downhill and then goes out with a nice big bang. Overall it was nice to hear the album again.

Nice surprise, it´s almost addictive to play again and again. So a beautiful 4 stars.

It´s very easy listening, but not very exiting.

It sort of swings, but i don´t like it. Too much fussing with sounds/samples. "The noise of carpet" being the best song for me.

Contains two of my favourite LZ songs (2 and 4), overall solid bluesy rock and nice singing by Plant. Nevertheless, just like the other albums just doesn´t feel like a 5 start album.

Masterpiece

After a few times listening the whole album, i got into it. The sound is really smooth overall and nice to listen to.

Talking about an opening song, Black Dog! Always like it to play this really loud :) Furthermore of course some great songs, however also some that irritate me, hence no full score.

After the hype at the time, although i was never a fan, there´s nothing much left right now. Only 1 or 2 songs on this album that do not irritate all the time..

Very consistent album. If u want to listen to reggae and get relaxed summer vibes go for this one. You won´t get distracted by recognizable hits.

If i can say one thing about the 1001 is that it turns out i really like the cure, joy division whereas in the past i had put it aside as i was more into metal. Loving the overall feel of the album. Period.

Nice (blues)rock album, respected musicians in the genre and not just a hype of the 80s imho. For sure a lot better than some other rock bands that got famous in the 80s...

It sounds great from a productional perspective, but i can´t really get into it. Not all songs are appealing enough for it. So therefore I didn´t "enjoy the album" as much as liked too, still solid 3.

One wonders why some albums are on the list, because of the hit? It´s a standard rock album of the 80s basically, not real special. Waiting for their debut album, which is a true classic, with great riffs in each song.

Feels like more of the same song each time, probably because of the way Lemmy is singing. Its not for me, never has been.

Some really great songs ofc, but also some that i don´t like and are just "shouting songs" to me. On top of this also not a big fan of the sound of the album, especially the guitar. Overall not enough for me to give a 5 for such a classic album.

Giving a 2 for the idea to use the Brazilian roots in the music. But never really liked it, only some bits and pieces from a couple of songs. Also remember all of a sudden all these brazilian baseball kind of shirts were introduced on the festivals where black shirts were the norm :)

Liking the early LZ albums of course, favourite Ramble On!

Was quite sensational at the time and i liked it. I could not appreciate it as much as back then, but nevertheless still a good album!

It swings allright and it´s a top ranked easy listening background album i would say. This because i can feel no real emotion in it, very flat most of the time, Simon´s singing like a voice-over does not help here.

Just like i remembered. Not my thing. Some catchy tunes, but not enough for me to go above an average rating. Maybe i should invest in it, but i won´t.

Okay then the first Maiden album! Always liked "Remember Tomorrow" and still do! Never heard a version of Bruce singing i realize now. Two real live classics Running Free and Iron Maiden, the latter one they still play and we love it. And ofc the Phantom is great. "Peeling off this onion" why just not give it 5 stars!
