Lots of recognizable hits, and I get that he's talented. Just not my style.

Lots of hits. Would want to listen on vinyl with headphones once.

Nostalgia. 💜 All songs still good after all these years.

Great lyrics. Story telling/catchy/good hooks. Not too much machismo. Solid.

Not so terrible, but really not special. Even though he predates James Taylor it felt like wannabe James Taylor?

Forgot how moody this album is. I still dig it but need time between listens.

Some hits I remember and still enjoy. Pseudo-experimental sound but also feels dated and sonically trendy for 2000. Some beautiful poetry mixed in between some cheesy lyrics.

Really solid album with excellent beats and flow, but lost a good amount of my love when I heard the F slur.

Love her always. Love this album. Her lyrics, passion, pain, anger, poetry, and deep low register are soothing and rousing and inspirational as usual. 🖤

There's some music under the dissonance, and some fun moments that could hype me up, but probably not gonna be a repeat listen.

Pleasant surprise! Really enjoyed the lyrics and what felt like spirituality of some of the songs. Super mellow, breezy listening with a couple of gems.

Of course Prince is amazing and delicious, and it's fun to hear him do his thing. Not amazing music overall but a good time!

Wow, I'd never listened to this completely and in one sitting. What a beautiful and lovely album. Lots of soft feelings and story telling and harmonizing.

This album is full of nostalgia. Takes me back to a certain time in life. I really like Beck, but still don't LOVE this whole album. Solid, catchy, memorable, not my favorite.

Weird, experimental, trying to express several things, not always awesome, but cool overall.

Wish I could do 2.5 Some cool moments, some annoying, some ignorable.

He gets a 2 for his talent, and a -33 for his misogyny, violence, and use of the R word. I forgot that I like him a lot UNTIL I listen to all of his lyrics. 🥴😤

Fun bops, good energy, and clear talent...but it still doesn't excite me for some reason 🤷‍♀️

I respect the individual artists a lot, but just dislike Christmas music. Tough to rate.
